Thai woman arrested for stealing from blind neighbour - video
snoop1130 posted a topic in Isaan News
Police arrested a Thai woman caught on a security camera stealing money and a mobile phone from an elderly blind neighbour in the Isaan province of Nakhon Panom. Officers from the Laksila Police Station, yesterday, May 27, arrested the 36 year old woman, Jariya Puttawong, for allegedly stealing from the 80 year old blind victim, Thong, on May 3 and May 25. Jariya denied the accusation and expressed anger towards the police officers. Officers then searched her home and found the pink clothes she wore during the theft. Thong’s mobile phone and wallet were not found at the scene. The arrest was made following evidence submitted by Thong’s grandson. Thong’s grandson explained that his grandmother, who is blind and lives alone, lost 2,000 baht in cash and her mobile phone on May 3 but could not identify the thief due to her disability. The family decided to install a security camera inside the home to catch the thief, and it proved effective. The CCTV footage showed a woman dressed in all pink entering Thong’s home quietly and stealing her cash on May 25. The woman in the video was identified as Thong’s neighbour, Jariya, who lived next door. With this clear evidence, Thong’s family reported the matter to the police, leading to Jariya’s arrest yesterday. Thong insisted on pursuing legal action against Jariya to prevent her from committing similar crimes against other elderly members of the community. Police suspected that Jariya’s financial difficulties, after losing her job, motivated her to steal from an elderly person with a disability. Despite her denial, the clear evidence led to Jariya being charged under Section 334 of the Criminal Law: stealing the property of another person. The penalty is imprisonment for up to three years and a fine of up to 60,000 baht. A similar story of exploiting a disabled person was reported in January when a blind man sought justice, claiming his relatives tricked him into signing a document to transfer his six acres of land to them. The victim sought help from the Ministry of Justice but the development of the case was not made public. The Thai authorities apprehended a man suspected of electrocuting his father using a fan’s electrical wire, leading to the 88 year old’s death at their home. The suspect, who faces potential capital punishment, denies the charges amid financial motives and previous family conflicts. The incident occurred around 11pm yesterday. The authorities questioned close relatives, including the deceased’s wife, to uncover the family conflicts that might have led to the crime. The suspect, identified as 52 year old Prasit was arrested following a thorough investigation. He is the fourth son of the victim and is accused of premeditated murder. Provincial Police Chief of Surat Thani, Police General Surinpan Sirikong reveals that following eyewitness questioning, overwhelming evidence pointed to Prasit, leading to his arrest by the Wiang Sa Provincial Court. Prasit, who denies all charges, is being held for further questioning. His financial troubles are suspected to be a motive, as he stood to gain funeral compensation upon his father’s death. Authorities are also investigating Prasit’s involvement in the previous year’s murder of his sister, Sa-arn, adding another layer to the case. Witnesses, including Prasit’s mother, Kleuab, confirmed his involvement in both incidents. Further investigations revealed Prasit’s financial distress. Authorities detained his grandmother for questioning upon noticing inconsistencies in her statements. DNA tests and comparisons with old cases are underway to strengthen the evidence against Prasit. The police are holding Prasit while seeking legal representation for him due to the severity of the charges, which could lead to the death penalty. Meanwhile, Prasit’s daughter attempted to visit him this morning but was turned away due to visiting hours. She expressed uncertainty about her father’s involvement, citing their lack of recent contact as Prasit now lives with his new wife in the Khao Tok subdistrict, reported Khaosod. Prasit’s arrest left the community in shock, as he faced severe charges amidst a backdrop of familial tensions and financial desperation. The investigation continues as authorities work to piece together evidence linking Prasit to the recent and past family tragedies. Fungi folly: Couple arrested for selling hallucinogenic mushrooms Image courtesy of Khaosod Police apprehended a couple involved in the illegal cultivation and sale of hallucinogenic mushrooms, claiming spiritual enlightenment and healing powers. Police apprehended a couple involved in the illegal cultivation and sale of hallucinogenic mushrooms, claiming spiritual enlightenment and healing powers. Despite openly defying law enforcement to intervene, their bravado was shattered when they were ensnared by an undercover agent. The Metropolitan Police Bureau Chief, Thiti Saengsawang, yesterday, May 27, directed a team led by Napasin Poolsawat, along with Thiradet Thammasuteer and other officers, to arrest 36 year old Amita, and 40 year old Banyong at a condominium in Chatuchak, Bangkok. Authorities charged the couple with possessing, attempting to sell, and manufacturing a category 5 narcotics (hallucinogenic mushrooms) illegally. Confiscated items included 181 plastic bags of mushrooms weighing 117 kilogrammes, along with various cultivation and distribution equipment such as a mobile phone, air purifier, humidifier, drying machine, weighing scale, cleaning alcohol, thermometer, and a box of gloves. Acting on a tip-off, the police discovered that Amita and Banyong were cultivating and selling hallucinogenic mushrooms online and delivering them via a private courier service. The police then executed a sting operation, purchasing 10 grammes of dried mushrooms for 1,111 baht through Banyong’s Facebook Messenger. Banyong informed the undercover officer that only fresh mushrooms were available and requested a bank transfer. Upon receiving the payment slip bearing Banyong’s name, he arranged for the delivery via a motorcycle courier. Caught red-handed Around 4pm, police observed Amita carrying a brown bag, suspecting it contained mushrooms. Upon inspection, they found 200 grammes of fresh mushrooms, leading to her arrest. Amita confessed that more mushrooms were stored and cultivated in their condominium unit, where Banyong was also present. The officers found a large quantity of mushrooms and cultivation equipment, resulting in further charges and their transfer to Phaholyothin Police Station. Amita revealed that she previously managed an entertainment venue in Sukhumvit before moving in with Banyong. She was drawn to Moldavite, a type of meteorite, and Banyong imported and sold these minerals, earning substantial income. They began using and cultivating hallucinogenic mushrooms together, influenced by friends who claimed the mushrooms offered spiritual enlightenment. Banyong admitted to cultivating mushrooms for sale and personal use for about two years, mainly learning from YouTube, TikTok, and Google. They created a course promoting mushrooms as a cure for mental health issues and addiction, charging 11,111 baht per session. Spiritual enlightenment Banyong claimed to have achieved spiritual enlightenment, positioning himself as a deity with the ability to perceive all worldly matters, linking his mineral sales to the mushrooms’ purported benefits. The couple’s activities extended to organising trips, including a recent event in Trat where participants consumed mushrooms, leading to some vomiting. They even offered mushrooms at a local shrine, believing it to be an honourable act. Online sales of the mushrooms were claimed to be life-saving, sold at 100 baht per gramme, with monthly earnings from sales and courses reaching several hundred thousand baht, reported Khaosod. Despite publicly challenging law enforcement, asserting they were untouchable, their illegal operations have now been halted. Shocking find: Police zap unsafe electronics sold at bargain prices Image courtesy of Khaosod The Thai authorities successfully seized a large number of unsafe electronics, including substandard power banks and adapters, which were being sold at suspiciously low prices both in physical stores and online. Full Story: https://aseannow.com/topic/1328387-shocking-find-police-zap-unsafe-electronics-sold-at-bargain-prices/ -
The Thai authorities successfully seized a large number of unsafe electronics, including substandard power banks and adapters, which were being sold at suspiciously low prices both in physical stores and online. This crackdown took place yesterday, with authorities aiming to prevent potential explosions and fires often associated with these unsafe products. Head of the Consumer Protection Police Division (CPPD), Police Major General Wichaya Sriprasert ordered the operation to target five locations across Bangkok, Pathum Thani, and Nonthaburi, including the Bang Kapi, Bang Sue, and Bang Khun Thian districts. During these searches, the police discovered and confiscated 1,333 units of portable battery packs (power banks) and 17,039 units of mobile phone and tablet adapters. The total value of these seized items exceeded 2 million baht. It was noted that these products lacked the necessary Thai Industrial Standards (TIS) certification, making them illegal for sale. Wichaya stated that due to their poor build quality, power banks and charging adapters lacking proper certifications had frequented news for causing fires and explosions during charging. But despite the risks, unsafe electronics continue to be sold widely, both in traditional stores and on various online platforms, mainly due to their alluring prices. To tackle this issue comprehensively, the authorities have not only targeted the warehouses where these products are stored but have also focused on the distribution channels. The confiscated items were handed over to the CPPD’s investigation officers, who are now working to track down the owners and hold them accountable. The suspects will face charges under the law governing industrial products, which mandates compliance with set standards. Conviction could result in up to two years in prison, a fine of up to 2 million baht, or both. The investigation revealed that most of the unregulated power banks and adapters were sold online at suspiciously low prices. Sellers falsely claimed that their products met the required standards to avoid detection and arrest. This deceptive practice has put countless consumers at risk. This operation highlights the ongoing challenge of regulating and ensuring the safety of electronic products in the market. As consumers increasingly turn to online shopping, the risk of encountering unregulated and potentially dangerous goods has escalated, reported Khaosod. The Thai authorities are urging consumers to be vigilant and purchase electronic products only from reputable sources that can guarantee compliance with safety standards. Are you a devotee of coffee seeking a fresh, innovative edge to your daily regimen? Let’s dive into the rising trend sweeping the wellness and coffee communities: CBD-infused coffee. This sensational blend offers not just a distinctive, delightful flavour, but also presents a cutting-edge method to infuse wellness into your regular caffeine intake. Certainly, you’ve been cognizant of the ever-growing hype around CBD, an incredible hemp plant derivative celebrated for its astonishing health advantages. It’s completely non-intoxicating, ruling out any risk of the high. In fact, it’s reputed for its calming and relaxing properties. Consider blending it with the energising effects of your preferred morning coffee. CBD-infused coffee isn’t a fleeting trend, it’s a wellness-focused lifestyle choice that’s swiftly gaining popularity among health enthusiasts! Is it time you considered such a healthy lifestyle shift? Let’s delve into the invigorating world of CBD-infused coffee and uncover why it could become your favoured method to kick-start your day. “Ever thought about how a perfect blend looks like it is coffee keeps you going, cannabis keeps you grounded.”-Cosmic Temple Vibes one may stumble upon the intriguing concept of cannabidiol (CBD)-infused coffee. In this article, we embark on a journey to comprehensively understand the constituents and potential advantages of this novel fusion. What constitutes CBD coffee? When amalgamated with coffee, a global stimulant, the result is a distinct elixir made of some really good recipes. The objective of this concoction is to counterbalance the invigoration derived from coffee with the pacifying impact of CBD, hence, potentially mitigating the often associated rebound effect of caffeine consumption. The synergistic association of CBD with coffee A harmonious, albeit surprising, interplay arises when CBD and coffee intersect. The caffeine in coffee catalyses the onset of your day with necessary alertness, while CBD induces a state of tranquillity. By bringing these two elements together, one could potentially witness a balanced commencement to the day, transitioning from serenity to alertness. It is, however, of critical importance that one observes their body’s response to this admixture. The reaction to both coffee and CBD varies across individuals, hence, initiating with a judicious dose of CBD in your morning coffee is advisable. Given the pursuit of a healthier lifestyle, it is not surprising that CBD coffee has surfaced as a compelling option for many. This stands particularly true for inhabitants of areas renowned for coffee cultivation, such as Thailand. Armed with this newfound understanding, one might contemplate integrating CBD coffee into their morning regime. Augmenting mood and alleviating anxiety An imperative advantage of initiating your day with CBD coffee lies in the powerful amalgam of CBD and caffeine that elevates mood. CBD, celebrated for its therapeutic and tranquillizing features, aids the regulation of the body’s endocannabinoid system. This regulation serves a significant function in augmenting mood and mitigating stress levels. Bountiful research illustrates CBD’s efficacy in managing anxiety and related disorders. Amid the burdens of a stressful day, CBD coffee silently operates in the periphery, endowing you with an unflustered deportment, irrespective of the tumult in your daily schedule. It is crucial to note, the non-psychoactive characteristic of CBD enables you to partake in its calming benefits devoid of any intrusive side effects. Enhanced alertness absent unwanted nervousness Coffee, a globally acknowledged stimulant in Thailand and elsewhere, is frequently the favoured option for a morning vitality lift, owing to its caffeine content. Acting as a dynamic stimulant, caffeine inhibits adenosine receptors in the brain, facilitating alertness, focus, and attenuating fatigue. Nonetheless, excessive coffee ingestion can often precipitate an overstimulated state, distinguished by discomfort and restlessness. This is the juncture where CBD coffee becomes beneficial. CBD’s soothing impacts counter the caffeine’s stimulating attributes, bestowing a boost in wakefulness devoid of the correlative apprehensive energy. Consequently, you can relish the advantages of caffeine’s capacity to heighten alertness, moderated to a more tolerable level by CBD. The distinctive mix of CBD and caffeine in CBD-infused coffee provides an extraordinary synergy, delivering balanced energy, serenity, and alertness. This congruous trio offers an effective way to begin your day, casting CBD coffee as an ideal morning companion for a day imbued with productivity. How to choose the right CBD coffee To enjoy the soothing effects of CBD in your coffee without having any legal concerns, you should know how to pick the right CBD-infused coffee. Assessing quality and potency Taking the right CBD potency is crucial for customising your CBD coffee to your specific requirements. For beginners, a lower potency CBD is recommended until your body adjusts. Remember, it is more about finding the optimum balance for your body and lifestyle. CBD products vary in strength, from as low as 300mg up to 3000mg, like the offerings from Hollywood. You would want to select a product that meshes well with your tolerance, and how your body responds to both CBD and caffeine. Consider your general caffeine consumption too. Are you a one-cup-a-day person, or does your day involve several mugs of joe? This understanding can help in gauging the correct CBD to caffeine-ratio to amplify the benefit of balanced energy without overwhelming your system. Always search for quality CBD products from reputable brands that conduct third-party lab testing to affirm their safety and quality. Remember, the ideal choice is a CBD product that does not contain additives or preservatives. “CBD and coffee are a perfect balance of waking you up and keeping you calm. This balance helps you achieve the most out of your day but it works better when you find the perfect potency, which you can receive from trusted dispensaries who can help you determine the perfect dose for you.” – Cosmic Temple Vibes Brewing the perfect cup On to the fun part: brewing your perfect cup of CBD coffee. It’s more than just adding CBD to your coffee; it’s about enhancing your morning routine by seamlessly incorporating it into your lifestyle. For instance, if you enjoy a cold brew or the artistry of brewing craft coffee, adding CBD into the mix can elevate the start of your day. It doesn’t matter what kind of coffee you appreciate; CBD can blend in for that extra boost of balanced energy. A dash of CBD in craft coffee or a cold brew, or even in a traditional joe can spark your day, allaying any nervous feelings you might have. The art of choosing the right CBD coffee comes down to understanding your needs and preferences. How you react to both CBD and caffeine, your general coffee consumption, the quality of CBD products you choose, and how you incorporate the blend into your routine. Such understanding allows you to harmonise the invigorating effects of caffeine with the calming benefits of CBD, creating a smooth, focused start to your day. You can also check out signs you are taking too much cannabis, You might be wondering, Am I indulging a bit too much or how is this affecting my health? Well, strap in because this article is here to clear all those doubts We’ll journey through the signs of overdoing cannabis and what that could mean for your well-being. Yesterday, a group of men, falsely acting as police officers, stormed a grocery store in Narathiwat. The imposters drove out the customers and kidnapped the sister of the shop's owner. They demanded a ransom of 30,000 baht for her release. This incident has resulted in public outrage and demands for an immediate investigation. These men pretended to be members of a special task force. They entered the shop without any legal permission, terrified the customers and forcibly took the owner's sister to their vehicle. They ordered her to give them ransom money in return for her freedom. Doubts about these men's true identities have been raised on a widely-followed Facebook page, which posted a video of this event. The post asked the users to spread this video so that it reaches the National Police Chief and help the authorities confirm the identities of the culprits. The victim's family intends to lodge a legal complaint against these men at the Su-ngai Kolok Police Station. They will be accused of extortion and misconduct in accordance with Section 157. A CCTV video from the shop shows the owner's sister working alone when the men entered. They talked to her and when customers came, they drove them out. Later, they forced her into a vehicle, where they demanded ransom money. Public response to this video has been immense. A lot of people are questioning the validity of the phony policemen and worrying about the safety and trustworthiness of the local law enforcement. The victim's family is now demanding a comprehensive investigation to expose the criminals and deliver justice. This case brings to light the issue of police corruption and misuse of power, which continues to be a problem in many areas. The Royal Irrigation Department (RID) is preparing for an expected rise in rainfall due to La Niña, predicted to begin in the next couple of months. The RID's Director-General, Chuchart Rakjit, talked about their measures to handle the expected increase in rainfall during a virtual meeting at the RID's Smart Water Operation Center. The rainfall is expected to increase from July to October, which is usually the rainy season in the country. Meteorologists predict that La Niña will cause a 20% increase in overall rainfall. The Central Plains region is expected to have the highest increase of 39%. Other areas like the Northeast and South will also be affected, experiencing a 22% and 16% increase respectively. The amount of rain is forecasted to rise, especially from August to October, due to dual monsoon winds. To protect the country from potential flooding, the RID has laid down measures. While the severe flooding of 2011 that affected 65 provinces is still remembered, Chuchart stressed that a similar disaster is unlikely this year due to improvements in technology and water management systems. Significant improvements have been made to the infrastructure alongside the Chao Phraya River. This includes the renovation of all pumping stations, which now help channel excess water to the Gulf of Thailand. The RID has also enhanced the performance of water-retention areas which are designed to store 1.5 billion cubic meters of water - a capacity exceeding that of the Pasak Jolasid Dam. Reviewing the Red Line: SRT ensures no disruptions in airport link File photo for reference only. Courtesy of Google The Board of the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has ordered a review of the Red Line electric train expansion project. This decision comes amid worries that changes in the project's design may affect the high-speed train line that connects Don Mueang, Suvarnabhumi, and U-Tapao airports. Full Story: https://aseannow.com/topic/1328370-reviewing-the-red-line-srt-ensures-no-disruptions-in-airport-link/ -
The Board of the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has ordered a review of the Red Line electric train expansion project. This decision comes amid worries that changes in the project's design may affect the high-speed train line that connects Don Mueang, Suvarnabhumi, and U-Tapao airports. SRT Deputy Governor, Anan Phonimdang, expressed the board's concerns about moving a station on the 25.9-kilometer extension, as this could disrupt the high-speed train route from Bangkok to Rayong. At the heart of the issue is the plan to relocate Ratchawithee Station from its original spot next to Ban Ratchawithee, to a new place near Ramathibodi Hospital. The proposed move would bring the Red Line extension closer to the high-speed rail network and would increase project costs by 400 million baht. This would bring the total cost to 44.15 billion baht, according to Anan. He said, “The board wants more details about why the design is being changed and more information from the private company building the high-speed train system because the current information is not complete. The SRT must prove that moving the station is beneficial and that it won't affect the high-speed rail network. The board has asked for thorough documentation to avoid future issues.” The board plans to review this situation next month. Anan also mentioned that it is not likely that the two systems will compete for passengers. The high-speed train does not stop in the Ratchawithee area, so passengers who want to switch to the electric train will have to get off at Phaya Thai station and change to the Red Line. The Red Line electric train expansion project, which was approved by the Cabinet in July 2016, has seen little progress. The SRT is still working on the project design, and moving the station will require a new environmental impact assessment. Asia Era One, a consortium led by CP Group, has the responsibility of building the high-speed airport link. This group secured a contract in 2018, amounting to 224.5 billion baht. However, the project has seen delays due to several factors, such as the impacts of Covid-19, leading to negotiations to alter some parts of the contract to ensure the project's completion. EC to comply with court ruling on Senate candidate profiles Picture of EC Secretary-General Sawang Boonmee courtesy of Pattaya Mail The Election Commission (EC) has opted not to challenge a Central Administrative Court decision regarding a regulation that prevents Senate election candidates from sharing their profiles publicly. Full Story: https://aseannow.com/topic/1328368-ec-to-comply-with-court-ruling-on-senate-candidate-profiles/ -
The Election Commission (EC) has opted not to challenge a Central Administrative Court decision regarding a regulation that prevents Senate election candidates from sharing their profiles publicly. Sawang Boonmee, EC Secretary-General, confirmed yesterday, May 27, that the commission will not use the 30-day window to appeal the court’s decision. The Senate election regulations have been updated to align with the court’s ruling, effective immediately. The Central Administrative Court had directed the EC to remove a part of its regulation that barred senator candidates from disclosing personal and career details on social media and mass media platforms. Previously, Senate candidates were restricted from introducing themselves via social media and mass media. They were only permitted to share their details with intra- and inter-professional groups that would vote for them at district, provincial, and national levels. Several candidates, including Narakorn Tiyayon, Dr Pairoj Sawangtrkul, Chollanat Koykul, Thirachart Kortrakul, and Thaweep Wanichhanont, urged the commission to uphold the court’s ruling and not appeal. District-level voting is scheduled for June 9, provincial-level voting for June 16, and national voting for June 26. The results, which will see 200 senators selected from 20 professional groups, are expected to be announced on July 2. Narakorn stated yesterday that no restrictions should be imposed on how candidates present themselves to the public, emphasising that people must have unrestricted access to information about candidates. “No restrictions must be imposed on how candidates introduce themselves to the public. People must also have unrestricted access to information about candidates.” Narakorn also suggested that the EC should set up district voting venues in convenient locations and allow the public to observe the voting process. Thirachart highlighted the impracticality of restrictions on public introductions, noting that much information about candidates is already available online. “The restrictive rule might be the reason for the low number of candidates for the Senate election.” According to EC figures, a total of 48,117 people applied as senator candidates during the five-day registration period. The poll agency had anticipated up to 100,000 applicants for the election. Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong expressed gratitude to Thailand for its swift assistance following an emergency landing of a Singapore Airlines flight at Suvarnabhumi Airport last week. Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin shared on his X account, formerly Twitter, yesterday that Wong had called him the previous day to extend his thanks to the Thai government and all those involved in the emergency response. Singapore Airlines flight SQ321, travelling from London to Singapore, encountered severe turbulence as it approached Thailand, necessitating an emergency landing at Suvarnabhumi on Wednesday. The incident resulted in the tragic death of one passenger due to a heart attack, while 34 others remain hospitalised in Bangkok. In a statement yesterday, May 27, Singapore Airlines reported that 50 people from the flight on May 21 were still in Bangkok, some of whom are receiving medical treatment. All the crew members from flight SQ321 have since returned to Singapore. Thai authorities noted that the majority of injuries involved the head or spine, with more than a dozen people requiring surgery. In response to the incident, Singapore Airlines has implemented stricter cabin restrictions during turbulence. However, the airline has not mandated that passengers wear seatbelts for the entire duration of the flight. The airline has confirmed its full cooperation with authorities investigating the matter. Turbulence-related injuries or fatalities are considered rare. Nonetheless, a Qatar Airways flight over Turkey on Sunday also experienced extreme turbulence before landing as scheduled in Dublin, resulting in injuries to 12 people on board. A dramatic police chase unfolded when a 25 year old man, high on drugs, stole a pickup truck and a minibus, fleeing across provinces for 120 kilometres before being apprehended in Nakhon Ratchasima, also known as Korat, claiming he was escaping from people trying to kill him. The incident began last night, May 27, when police from Choknasan Police Station in the Surin province, along with officers from various stations in Buriram and rescue units, pursued the suspect. The man initially stole a pickup truck from the Khukhan district in Sisaket province, fleeing through the Prasat district in Surin. Running out of fuel, he abandoned the pickup and stole a minibus. He then stopped to refuel at a petrol station in Ban Tani, paying only 100 baht for 500 baht worth of fuel before speeding away. Police from Choknasan coordinated with officers in Prakhon Chai, Nang Rong, and Nong Ki, anticipating the suspect’s route. Rescue units and good Samaritans also joined the chase, which saw the suspect breaking through multiple police checkpoints. Surrendered without resistance Rescue units from Ban Song Mueng streamed the chase live, capturing the suspect’s escape until he reached Nong Bunnak district in Nakhon Ratchasima. Here, local police successfully stopped the vehicle, and the suspect surrendered without resistance after a 120-kilometre pursuit. The suspect was identified as 25 year old Thotsaphon, a resident of Ban Na in Kantharalak, Sisaket province. During initial questioning at Nong Bunnak Police Station, Thotsaphon claimed he stole the vehicles to escape people trying to kill him, intending to reach his sister in Bangkok. He alleged that his parents and siblings had been murdered and buried in a pond in Sisaket, and he feared for his life. However, police were sceptical of his claims, as a urine test revealed the presence of drugs. They suspected he was hallucinating due to drug use. Panya Thanompong, a truck owner who helped in the pursuit, recounted hearing the commotion at the petrol station in Ban Tani, where the suspect sped off after refuelling. Panya decided to follow and alerted the Choknasan police. Despite their efforts and coordination with Ban Song Muang rescue units, the suspect managed to evade capture until reaching Nong Bunnak. Collaborative effort The head of the Ban Song Mueang rescue unit Chayanan Phuttichat explained that their team was called in to assist in the chase. Familiar with working alongside police, they used their rescue vehicle to follow the suspect. Despite breaking through multiple checkpoints, the suspect was eventually cornered and detained in Nong Bunnak. Upon inspecting the stolen minibus, authorities found 2,000 baht in cash under the driver’s seat, though it was unclear if it belonged to the vehicle’s owner. The money was seized for investigation. Thotsaphon was taken back to Choknasan Police Station and other relevant jurisdictions for further legal proceedings. The police plan to continue their investigation to verify his claims and address the drug-related offences, reported Khaosod.
