US Considering Asylum for British Jews
Maybe Britain can offer refuge to US Jews? Seems to be a lot of antisemitic hate crime in NYC at least.... https://www.jpost.com/diaspora/antisemitism/article-882597

Cars that drive slow in the right lane drive me nuts
If you're an impatient or incautious driver then Thailand is not the country for you - its not going to end well. I've driven many thousands of km in Thailand over the past 15+ years and seen too many collisions. Just take it easy. If you're prone to getting frustrated then ease back, breathe deep and count slowly to ten. Maybe listen to a podcast on the radio or something. Your actions are not going to change the way Thais drive. Don't try to 'teach them a lesson' - just accept it. Most Westerners are retired and generally not on a tight schedule. Couple of years ago my wife's sister bought a new truck. Never driven a car before. Failed the driving test twice so ended up buying a licence. She is a terrible driver and my blood runs cold when I think about it. My wife has a legit Thai licence but is also a terrible (frankly dangerous) driver and I don't let her drive. There's an awful lot of these people out there. So in the words of Sgt Esterhaus ('Hill Street Blues') "Let's be careful out there".

Thailand to Boost US Imports Amid Tariff Turmoil
Probably it would be used in processed/pre-prepared foods, catering etc. Not always so easy for the customer to establish origin.

Norse Atlantic Expands Asian Reach with New Bangkok Service
Have travelled with Norse on a route to the US I wouldn't fly with them for free! Dreadful service. Outbound flight was delayed by 8 hours - no information, food etc. Return flight was cancelled 45 minutes before boarding time and was offered another flight 4 days later! No assistance Of any kind. Had to get another flight at great cost.

Could Trump's plan fail in a spectacular fashion?
After the shambles of the Biden presidency I must confess to being one of those that cheered when Trump won. And he did get off to a promising start. But seems that he's revealed himself to be a walking talking fruitcake. With Musk gone rogue too. More than a few people are going to have their retirement finances trashed over the next few years. The way he's nuzzling up to Mad Vlad is extremely worrisome - I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't start substituting Canadian imports with Russian. And most concerning of all is this unstable clown has the nuclear codes!

Trump Alleges Biden Connection to White House Cocaine Incident and Promises Investigation
I have absolutely no love or respect for Biden, but Trump needs to let go and move on. Bringing up the laptop during his argument with Zelensky was ridiculous. Its all water under the bridge now, and there are far more pressing issues to focus on.

Did Trump bring shame upon the US with his Zelensky lecture?
After the disaster of Biden I had high hopes for a second Trump term, and he did indeed get off to a promising start. However the way he is aligning with Putin is both shocking and frightening. A few weeks ago Putin was in a corner, weak and with an economy that was spiraling down. I saw a cartoon that had a photo of Trump with the caption 'Kremlin Employee of the Month'. Now you really have to wonder what is going on.....

Need good roofing contractor - Udon Thani
About ten years ago my wife built a house out west of Udon Thani. Its roofed with C-Pac tiles and there have always been problems with leaks. She's had it repaired by 'expert' local workmen a couple of times but the leaks persist. Now she wants to completely re-tile the roof and fix the problem for good. Can anyone please recommend a proper professional roofing contractor in the Udon area?

Another car ploughing into people
The guy's name is Anthony Gilheaney - so British or Irish I think. Apparently got into a fight in a club and later, in the street outside, he used his car to drive at the people he was in dispute with.

Paying voluntary National Insurance contributions - ridiculous processing time
Future Pensions Centre and HMRC get full marks from me. I was in UK five weeks ago and called the Future Pensions Centre about two years of NI I was short on. I had to hold about 45 minutes. Got through to a helpful lady who looked at my record, confirmed I was two years short for a full pension and calculated that if I paid the shortfall I would get my money back in about 90 weeks. Another 10 minutes on hold while she put me through to an HMRC office. They guy there gave me numbers required to make payment by bank transfer. He said the payment would be processed in about two months. I check online yesterday and the outstanding years are now showing paid (so about 5 weeks).

Health Insurance claim denied may have led to this Insurance company CEOs assassination
It seems this insurance co. deny 32% of claims? Also the guy has been involved in some insider trading....he sold a lot of his stock just before co. was subject to an investigation and stock price dropped. A good few thousand potential suspects out there then....

Sole searching: Foreign man’s shoes stolen from Thai beach - video
I once had a very nice and nearly new pair of Merrell sandals stolen while visiting a temple in Chiang Mai. I was shocked to say the least, as was my wife.

Driving round on my Harley shouting 'Slava Ukraini' to passers by..
There is a Russian guy who rides around Jomtien with a Russian flag on the front of his motorbike and with a loudspeaker playing Russian military music. Not much different to what the OP is suggesting. I speak some Russian (as a result of having had the misfortune to work in Russia for an extended period some years ago). The majority of Russians I've spoken to in Thailand are supportive of Putin. I had an interesting conversation one evening last May - three twenty-something Russian guys drinking beer at Bali Hai pier. They were telling me they supported Putin and the war, they just didn't want to get involved in the fighting themselves!

Scottish Man Extradited from Thailand Jailed for Sexually Abusing Young Girls
Seems he wasn't actually 'hiding in Thailand' because he came to Thailand in 2010 and allegations were not made until Sept 2023 and he was deported in Dec. 2023. The allegations related to events 30+ years previously.

Suvarnabhumi Bangkok Airport SAT-1 Terminal
I've used it twice. Once when flying with Austrian Airlines and once with Turkish Airlines. Added only a few minutes to overall arrival/departure times. Just wasn't an issue for me....

Indeed. I've used it overseas before with no issues but this just happened couple of days ago. I'm not making it up....

Spotify Thai premium account no longer valid overseas
About 9 months ago I signed my wife and myself to Spotify Premium in Thailand using my Thai address and SCB card. We travel a lot but spend more time in Thailand than anywhere else. Arrived in UK 6 days ago to visit family and yesterday received an email from Spotify saying that 'we think your account is registered in the wrong country. Please change your payment card to one registered in the country where you are streaming'. Obviously they want me to pay UK prices and not Thai prices. I contacted their 'support' and got nowhere. Basically unless I change payment to a UK card they will cancel my Premium account in 7 days. This seems counter to their marketing which says customers can use Premium accounts overseas indefinitely. When I pointed this out, the CS assistant immediately closed the chat. Anyway, I'll let them close my Premium account and listen to Spotify using a free app called 'Xmanager'. Very difficult to have sympathy for these streaming companies when they complain about 'piracy'.
