Spread the word! More Brits in Thailand can now vote in the UK
shunter replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
A more welcome and indeed positive action would be the unfreezing of state pensions paid to UK pensioners in Thailand and elsewhere, time this UK state sanctioned theft from pensioners was stopped. -

Should have been dressed in Bavarian summer costume, dirndl dresses, or possibly lederhosen no problems then. -
Far too many loud-mouthed farangs boast about their cannabis knockout labs and others brag about their growing, selling, and exporting of cannabis backed it is claimed by an international merchant bank on TikTok. It does not sit well with those in power, nor competitors either. How long before such farangs will be removed by fair or foul actions?

Meanwhile there are no restriction's on the jetsam and flotsam washing up on the UK beaches etc. and being housed, fed, and financed by the taxpayer, Yet those who were born in the UK irrespective of ethnic origin are discriminated against.

Srettha Slammed For Literally Bowing To Paetongtarn

I suppose the bonus is, or was, that the image wasn't a meeting of soi dogs and their customary brown nosing introductory habits. Total insult to the people of Thailand who did not elect this corrupt fiefdom administration... -

''Beware'' of these rail links and their future usage. Remember a certain German Chappie constructed a network of autobahns so as to ease access to Europe in the last century (1930s.) Certainly improved access to many countries on the said Chappies whirlwind European tour. ''Beware of Greeks bearing gifts.'' or in this current time , ''Beware of Chinese government that comes bearing gifts''

Move Forward Told To Field Prawit In Race Against Srettha For Premiership
shunter replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
So Thailand it seems may well be welcoming a new ''Mr.Toad'' to take the driving seat. But remember Mr. Toad had to dress up as a laundry lady to escape justice after his car crash. Next time it may well a financial and economy crash, new car, same driver. Somethings never change... -
It would be a wise man or woman who maybe or is involved in these machinations to remember, ''As ye sow, so shall you reap.'' All actions have consequences.

I am of the opinion that Thailand has made a great scientific step forward and indeed will prove" Time Travel" is now possible, Thailand is certainly likely to move back into the mists of time when dinosaurs ruled the earth should this living dinosaur and his cabal take the premiership and no doubt many governmental positions. However, dinosaurs met their end and it may well be sooner than later for the local species should the local Homeo Sapiens take up their hunting weapons... We live in strange times...

Thanks for all the advice and information to date, going to go to the family home some 12 kilometres from Sangkha and use it as a base to see if we can find what we want.
-
We do visit the area often as my wife's family lives some 12 kilometers from Sangkha, however at 78 years old I find the drive somewhat tedious. And to get said family to do some searching is indeed a challenging task, great folk, but to get them to ask questions and provide logical answers is as I am sure many of us know an interesting past time. Perhaps time to spend time with family and do our own research, Tried researching property sourcing companies in Surin, sad to say results were about as useful as a chocolate fireguard, However, DILLIGAD many thanks for your comment and getting me to throw off my lethargic shirt and kick start the old grey matter,
