Don' know, but the islands are much cleaner and not a problem to swim there,
if you feel the need, but thats just me.
I swam off Koh Larn recently and it seemed ok fairly clean.
Was having a good time until I got stung by a jelly fish on my neck.

Did my extension today first time with money in bank method. Went to BKK Bank this morning and got the letter confirming 800,000 since March.
One thing on this I did not go to my home branch, so any branch will do at least with BKK Bank.
Took all my paperwork and a completed extension form to immigration.
Handed a number, walked in and my number was on the board already desk area 8.
Did not even get a chance to make copies of my passport/current extension pages but the IO allowed me to do this after I checked in.
While she was looking thru my paperwork, some guy next to me was arguing about the 65,000 in the bank every month. I guess he had inconsistent deposits and was pleading his case. They then spoke to him away from the desk possibly suggesting he see an agent:)
I had everything necessary just a few points of info:
You need to have the bank book with you. And it needs to be updated on the day you go to immigration.
They want to see the actual book and also copies of the face page and the pages leading up to today showing the money in the account for the required period.
Do not know if this is consistent but last time they wanted my rental contract. So, I brought it this time. They also today asked for the landlords ID card, and telephone number. I had a signed copy of this information and my rental contract. They took all of it and included it in my package.
That is about it really she attached my passport photo, I signed all the copies of everything in my package, and was on my way in 10 minutes.
Pickup tomorrow when I will get my multiple entry.
Very easy and professional service.

There are literally 1000's of condos doing this with no reporting of occupants, no income reporting and no enforcement.

They should come up with a legal 10,000 baht a year hassle free extension option. Win win for the govt, not so much for the staff but stuff them. Under 50s can still buy the Elite if they must
Actually a great idea. I would do that no problems.
But, I think the non official collecting/recording of agents fees is more advantages financially for them.

Seems kind of the thing to do nowadays.
I dropped Facebook, but when I had it before most people seemed to post lots of photos of their food.
Not sure why.
We all eat so what is the big deal?

Thailand is a black hole that gives you nothing in return. A terrible life and time investment beyond a certain age.
Very sad to hear such regrets and that you have wasted your life here.
Not sure however what you expect in return from a foreign country and I assume you are not a citizen.
I am older and do not think it is a terrible life at all on the contrary.
A lot of happiness is in ones mind and attitude.
Certainly hope you find no black holes in the future..

Anybody with some life experience knows that the transportation community rarely tells you the truth regarding these type incidents.
Airlines are famous for the "a cargo door jam" when in fact it is something much more serious.
They do not want to alarm or concern people.
I think the BTS is great and lived in BKK for 2 years took it everyday never more then a few minutes delay.
It is a machine and machines break down that is life.

Totally weak and irresponsible to blow off a 90 day.
These may seem like small matters but enough people doing it next thing you know they make even stricter rules.
Be an adult and obey the rules...

So you play Gymkhana 3 times a week. That's fine, but I hope you don't base your golf opinion on that course. Most serious golfers don't even consider Gymkhana a real golf course.
The only thing good about it is that it is very cheap. The entire clubhouse etc. are in major need of upgrade the course way below average.

So we all have to adopt Thai culture to live here is that what your saying? Walk round with a fake smile and act relaxed and chilled out in moments of high drama. Not me. I like my cultural upbringing. No way I'm going full Thai.Wow.
A perfect example of the naive arrogant thinking here.
Hey, heads up this is not your country.
So, adapt as you wish but do not complain when you are compromised. It is not your country. Duh...
Good luck to you....

As much as people complain about the police here look how restrained and patient they were. In the USA he would have been at least tazed if not shot.
So, what's the problem?
Yes, I would taze him and put him in cuffs.
Disturbing the peace..
Drink in public...
Who knows several violation s, he belongs in jail....

What a disgusting POS. Ever wonder why these people dislike Falang and want to make it more difficult for them to be here.
Get a clue.......

All very sad.
Maybe they need to have a psychiatric kiosk at the mall.
Jumpers can get some counseling to possibly help from jumping.
Have a big sign at the entrances advising those with mental suicide issues to contact the kiosk.

Pattaya can be very depressing, I would not risk hitting anyone on the way down.
Yes.
Seems the act itself however is a very selfish thing to do.
So, I doubt they care a lick.

Sadly, seems to be the place to go for this.
Inside, they are security fulltime at the previous jumper spots.
But obviously, they cannot cover everything.

Not a scam at all.
This fee is very normal for every golf course I have played.
300 is actually not bad a few courses I know 500 b.
Several years ago my exwife rode in the cart with me at Pebble Beach.
$150 US dollars.
Green fee was $500.
Just a bucket list thing.

That is certainly good news, but DRYERS are the central issue here. They are seen as unnecessary by most of those who put washing machines out for public use. Thais hang their clothes out to dry like they did a hundred years ago. They change like the glaciers.
I like the Thai method.
Dryers are the worst thing for those yellow and orange tanks you buy at Soi buakhow market.
Those tanks and other clothing will shrink to small size after being blasted in a hot dryer for an hour.
Much better for the longevity of clothes to natural air dry.

Don't think there is much to worry about.
Just cruised Soi 6 many girls in the bars. Hundreds. Lots of guys walking the street all pretty crowded for this time of day.
