  1. Thanks for this info. I don't think the fan (There are actually 2 fans) is kicking in. But if the fan was the problem would the engine not overheat quite quickly at idle because there is no airflow through the radiator?
  2. This makes sense. I think it's too much of a coincidence that the problem occurred right after the coolant change.

  4. My trusty old Honda City (approx. 14 years old/190,000 km) has recently started to show overheating issues after sustained use. It first showed the problem coming up the hill in Wang Nam Kiaow (so quite a lot of stress), However, after waiting around 20-30 minutes for the engine to cool down, I drove the car for another 350 km (not continuously) without any issues. The car was then driven on an extended trip again and the warning light came on after around 150 km. I wasn't driving at the time but based on what my partner told me, the engine wasn't under any particular stress at the time. From what I understand there are a few possibilities: 1: Insufficient coolant. I don't believe this is the case because the levels in the expansion tank are midway between the max and min marks. 2: Water pump: If this was the issue, the problem would show up more often? 3: Radiator: Don't really know how to check this other than there is no obvious coolant leak. Could it just be old and clogged? 4: Fan/sensor to turn the fan on How often should the fan run? I don't know how to check this. Should it come on after the car has been sitting idling for a while? 5: Any more? One possibly important issue is the coolant was changed recently—just before the big trip where the issue manifested itself. Could this be related? I can't easily tell because the car is only ever normally used for fairly short trips. Any thoughts appreciated... Thanks, Jaimaai
  5. It will (probably) be compatible. I don't really know the technical specifics of the broadcast systems in Thailand but if you buy the box and it doesn't work it means that you will need to replace the LNB (the receiver in the middle of the dish) rather than the dish itself? Also, do you have a ku-band (small solid dish) or C-band (large mesh dish) system?
  6. You can't. What you can do is apply for a "Yellow" book, Going by the numerous previous threads on the topic, the requirements vary from office to office. It's probably best to go and ask.
  7. Seems to be back working now? How long for, who knows?
  8. I just tried to search for 'oven' and got plenty of results. Looks like an issue at your end.

  10. Thanks all. I have changed a couple of taps recently and never bothered to use the tape. Neither of them are showing any sign of leaking despite they guy who sold me the new hose being insistent that I needed the tape too. The new tap even came with a small amount of tape included....
  11. Do you actually need to put the white tape on a tap thread? Is the washer enough. I've changed a couple of taps without using it and there are no obvious leaks. But, should I use it? Is it good practice to use it?
  12. I decided to take the approach of contacting PayPal and asking them how their new discriminatory decision fit with their polices on the subject. Every time I chase and answer they tell me that they have 'escalated' the issue. This leads me oi the simple and obvious conclusion that the decision does not comply with PayPal's published policies. I suggest everyone who is as <deleted> off as I am to do the same. Contact PayPal's support and ask them to identify the clause in their terms and conditions that allows them to discriminate in this way. If enough people do it then they might get the message.
  13. Here is the source of the quote in the original post. It came from the designer of the Steam Deck with regard to changing the stock SSD in that particluar device. https://www.pcgamer.com/steam-deck-designer-says-ssd-mod-will-significantly-shorten-the-life-of-your-deck/ Is this relevant to PCs/laptops? Make your own mind up.
  14. I think this is the key to what happened. Perhaps an unfortunate coincidence that you got what sound like a scam SMS right after ordering something. Was there anything specific in the SMS such as item description/order number or your name?
  15. Can you post a picture of what you are seeing? Some the entries in the right click menu can come from indiviudal appications rather than Windows itself, If you can work out which programs they are you could check those language settings.
  16. Make sure Google Play itself is fully up to date... How to update the Google Play Store Open the Google Play Store app . At the top right, tap the profile icon. Tap Settings About Play Store version. You’ll get a message that tells you if the Play Store is up to date. Tap Got it. If an update is available, it will automatically download and install in a few minutes. https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/113412?hl=en
  17. If you think that this is "proof" that you are NOT on overstay because of the 29th June date then you may be in for a nasty surprise unfortuntely.
  18. Your picture shows a 400V capacitor so you can safely use one with a higher voltage rating - 450V would be OK - but you shouldn't do it the other way round and use one with a lower voltage rating. The rating is the maximum voltage.
  19. You don't call, you use the app on your phone.
  20. It's a usually different version of the Play Store for TVs. Different versions of some apps and some apps missing. The apps need to be certified to work on a TV (meaning you can use a remote control). "Most" apps will still work with a mouse if sideloaded.
  21. How would "refurbished" or "off lease" laptops or other second hand equipment be described in Thai?
  22. I don't think this is a scam in any way. The actual registration and download is from the F-Secure website. F-Secure is a well-established company. ZERO risk IF you manage to get it downloaded IMO, From a bit of Googling - the offer comes from some kind of tie-up with Virgin Media. Several tech forums out there discussing this, I suspect the IP address may be more restrictive than just a UK one, Probably need one that is connected with Virgin somehow,
