  1. As a general rule, it's better to have more sticks of RAM for the same total. You'd be better off going for a 2x8GB kit. I have Corsair Vengeance LPX in my machines but any known brand should be fine. DO NOT buy any Intel CPU where the model ends in an 'F' these chips don't have graphics (it isn't on the motherboards anymore). If you go for that chip you will 100% need a discrete graphics card.
  2. Pay who? An individual or business? Wise is a fairly popular way to pay money into a Thai account from abroad, wise (dot) com
  3. I can understand parts of it and it doesn't look good. Something about 'a foreigner with characteristics that (something)' and the last line is 'not permitted to enter the Kingdom-
  4. I had a Samsung fridge of about the same age before that came with a 2-pin plug and a separate earth lead that was supposed to be screwed to the chassis and connected to a grounding point. So, my guess would be no, it's not double-insulated.
  5. Bear in mind that you can only change the country so many times in a certain timeframe so if there are other country specific apps that you need,be careful.
  6. You need to change the country associated with your Google account. Your physical location or using a VPN will have no effect whatsoever. The way I would do it is download it through a third-party site such as apkpure. There are also APK download browser extensions that will download directly from Google Play that you can sideload.
  7. I think the starting date will always remain the same as the original 5-year licence you get after the temporary one for each renewal. Only the expiry changes.
  8. Something like this? https://www.lazada.co.th/products/pull-cord-switch-10a-for-bathroom-or-shower-rooms-i336012052-s650756828.html?clickTrackInfo=query%3Apull%2Bcord%2Bswitch%3Bnid%3A336012052%3Bsrc%3ALazadaMainSrp%3Brn%3A7a42bdbaed7a7ccdf22e007ba2b3bdca%3Bregion%3Ath%3Bsku%3A336012052_TH%3Bprice%3A100051949%3Bclient%3Adesktop%3Bsupplier_id%3A100051949%3Basc_category_id%3A12090%3Bitem_id%3A336012052%3Bsku_id%3A650756828%3Bshop_id%3A519&fastshipping=0&freeshipping=0&fs_ab=1&fuse_fs=1&lang=en&location=Chonburi&price=6E 2&priceCompare=&ratingscore=5.0&request_id=7a42bdbaed7a7ccdf22e007ba2b3bdca&review=5&sale=30&search=1&source=search&spm=a2o4m.store_product.list.3&stock=1
  9. Had anyone actuallly got the new split screen interface for Andoid Auto in Thailand yet. (Without being in the beta program?) It is supposedly rolling out globally now but therte seems to be no information on how, where or when different locations or devices will get it...
  10. This also possibly sounds like an app requesting permissions. Some of these permissions sound bad but are actually necessary to allow the app to work. For example, if you download a photo viewer app, it needs permissions to view the photos.
  11. How are you "sending" the videos? If you are trying to use a sharing service, you'll need to check the privacy settings...
  12. I think it might be a Checkered Keelback
  13. And will it be available to dirty foreigners without a Thai ID card?
  14. It will mostly be an urban commuter/going to the supermarket car but will also be expected to do a couple of trips a year and cope with hills in Petchabun/Khao Yai type areas (with a full load of luggage).
  15. There's a reasonable chance it is apps using background data even if you are not actively using them. Make sure that mobile data is switched off.
  16. So, basically it is too good to be true...? Would these issues present themselves more or less on a car that was mostly driven in an urban environment with occasional trips of about 50-60 km on a highway?
  17. Thanks for the input. Having done some proper research, I think I understand how they work a bit more. I can also see how the auto-brake feature could be quite useful. I can probably get used to it and maybe even grow to like it.
  18. 2009 Honda City 1497 cc 120 PS 145 Nm 2022 Honda City 988 cc 122 PS 122 Nm Both have similar weights. This would suggest that despite a much lower engine capacity, the new Honda City's are at least as powerful (if not slightly better) than the older engines. I appreciate that engine technology will have developed in the last decade but are 1.0l engines really that good now?
  19. My gut feeling without any experience or evidence is that I just don't trust the idea of them. Over to the ASEAN Now hive mind to back me up or put me in my place....
  20. If you really, really need/want to be off the booze, go to the fridge take out a can and then pour it down the sink. Repeat x2. Otherwise drink it...
  21. Thanks for this info. I'll check it out properly when I have time later.
  22. Thanks for all the feedback. I won't have time to do much until the weekend, but I'll dry bleeding the system again myself and then take the car on a test run. If it overheats again then I'll take it somewhere else to change the coolant completely again.
  23. Simple answer is I can't. Even if I took a photo of the bottle they gave me with the excess, I would still be difficult to know if they diluted it correctly. (there is green fluid so there is coolant in the reservoir). Maybe I should just take it somewhere else and get the coolant completely changed again.
