the oil was changed at one of the Honda agents in Nakhon Sawan.

Then they are the ones you should contact so they can rectify the problem. Do check the oil level on the stick yourself before using the car!!

    No.

If one is maintaining ongoing permission of stay by extensions (eg retirement/marriage) then a new TM30 is not required every time they apply for extension

Then learn that it is a requirement in Koh Samui.

If you file a TM30 today then it should have the dates from "today" to  the end date of your permitted to stay stamp.

So for me (and KhunPer) it means that we have to file a new TM30 just before applying for a new yearly extension and include a copy of the TM30 receipt together with the other documents.

0,000approx ,is this in Pattaya may I ask ?

No, it is in Samui by a dentist who doesn't do dual pricing. I may have got some discount (1000-2000 baht) for being a long time customer but you should not have to pay more than 25000 for the same job anywhere in Thailand.

I wasn’t really thinking that, I assume they would do that anyway.  But then is there no point in making the online appointment?  I’d think the idea is that if there’s a lot of people just showing up they’d give you a queue number ahead of those without an appointment …?

You get your queue number on the bottom floor after they have checked that your documents are in order.

What you have doesn't look like it's actually hazardous, it's just not to Thai regulations

It is obviously not an installation made by a Thai "electrician",  they wouldn't use Schneider breakers and they wouldn't use blue wire for neutral and brown wire for live which is a European standard. The connection between ground busbar and neutral busbar is done with a jumper wire in Europe, not with the main circuit breaker.

I agree that the main circuit breaker is faulty and has to be replaced.

    1.  Do you have to print the photo or is it OK to have it in your phone and let them take their own pic of it from your phone?

    2. Is this document now on Samui's official list?  Does anyone have a current copy of that list to share?

I printed it since it should be included in the document stack.

I have never been charged by customs for anything from China. (COD)

There is no customs fee between China and Thailand because of the China-Asean Free Trade Agreement.

I've bought solar equipment worth many hundred thousand bahts from Alibaba and I frequently buy goods from AliExpress and I've never paid any customs fee.

I forgot one other thing to check, make sure the electric radiator fan comes on when you turn on the A/C

If the fan not works then the symptom will be exactly those that the OP described, A/C radiator being cooled down enough when car is moving at speed but not enough when standing still or moving slowly.

Those electric fans are a common cause of failure on older cars.
