Lets see now, Mmmmm, ok guys I think we can scam some more money from Foreigner's and the general public, lets put the fear of God into everyone with the Monkey Pox out break. Revenue from vaccines, insurance, hotels, hospitals all will help the economy.????????

One has to exercise extreme care as a pedestrian here. Always stop, and look both ways, and keep your eyes peeled the entire time you are exposed while crossing. It is about survival. Some are better at it, than others. Pure Darwinism.
The authorities here do not care one iota.
Extreme care. This a daily requirement living in Thailand.

Generall speaking Thais are loud talkers, they start a conversation and it ends up being a yelling match. I can hear Thais talking 2 Soi's away. And, yes they love loud music at parties, so much so, you have to yell to talk to someone. I avoid any invitions to weddings and special events.

The 2nd amendment: 'The right to bare arms' or should it read 'the right to mass murder.' Unfortunately, Americans are still living in the wild west days when maybe the 2nd amendment may have been justified, however, there is no place for it in todays society. President Biden might as well be talking to a brick wall, as America will never change its ways, this is due to the huge amounts of wealth to be made from firearms companies, not to mention, the money trail all the way to high profile investors and politicians in Washington. Removing firearms from Americans would be like extracting ones teeth. Will never happen, its a mindset embedded from the womb.

Ubonjoe is correct in what he stated, as some have said check you local IMO as many make up their own quirky rules. FACT.

Thailand has community property laws. Are they legally married? Did they buy the house after they got married?
Yes legally married and I think purchased before marriage, will have to check on that. Thanks

If she is the owner she can sell the house / land. She will have to pay the bank loan though.
Walking away from a house doesn't clear you bank loan, after so many missed payments the bank will take the property, sell it and if their is still money owned, they would like that too. As they are married, they would go after the husband for the remaining money as well.
Thanks for input.

Hi to all, maybe a tricky subject to discuss, has anybody heard of or been involved in a dispute over ownership of land and house in Thailand. I am not asking about myself, this is for my wife's daughter. Her daughter has a Thai husband and legally married. They have a newborn baby 3 months.
Problem: The husband is a wife beater and will often slap and kick her and on one occasion she ended up at the bottom of the stairs after a beating.
The daughter is the legal owner of the house, her name or I should say the banks name is on the Chanote.
Question: Has she the right to sell the house without the husbands permission. If she leaves the husband and walks away from the house will the bank be chasing her or the husband still living in the house.
Maybe someone else has some other courses of action.
Any feed back would be appreciated, please, no smart a@se replies.
Cheers

What do
motorbikesmotorcysists do ???... In developed nations they don’t carry infants in their hands, they wear full riding gear, they undergo extensive training, lessons and tests. You are using ‘motorcyclists' as a comparison in a discussion on infant / child car seats... so, are you implying that because there are motorcyclists children do not need to be protected in cars? or,
because there are pickups without anchor points that those drivers of standard vehicles with anchor points really shouldn’t consider the safety of their children?
Because, If you are implying something so galacbcailly outrageously dumb, idiotic and utterly stupid then you have really outed yourself as a fool.
Wow, somebody took their nasty pill today. Have a nice day.

There are no rear seatbelts in 2 door pickups, coz legally there are only 2 seats (driver & passenger), & passengers aren't supposed to be squeezed in the back.
Correct, however, thais still jamm people and kids in that space.

Never happen, no brainer, no seatbelts in the rear of cab space picksups, what do motor bikes do?? Can average Thais afford proper child seats at 2 - 10,000 B per seat. Cost of upgrades to vehicles with out anchor points. etc, etc.
