Brunei was due to open land borders with Malaysia early this morning after 2 years of closure but sudden change of heart, postponed the opening by another 14 days.. People were gearing up to cross into the neighbouring cities to shop and booze etc but hopes dashed. Welcome to  S.E.Asia

I do not understand why petty theft such as this one has to be published? How many such thefts are made in LOS every hour? Are they reported in such a way as this?

The visa fee is not going to someones pocket or to a private org. The so called insurance,  which insurance company? ???? what about travellers with own insurance?

Insurance companies do not like to issue a duplicate policy to anyone who has that particular insurance. 

Why should we subsidise your tourism industry/ infrastructure? The government should have their own budget for that plus all those hospitality businesses pay taxes which I  believe should go towards the development of that industry. 

It is all a RIP OFF ALL AROUND.

I thought all visa on arrival was cancelled and you have to apply online .I strongly suggest to ( do the only best way is to ) call the Thai embassy. 

I guess their survey result (amongst the DHs) has given them the impetus to declare that ludicrous decision.
