I think it is part of their mental illness believing they will never get caught and the kids under their control will never tell. A person would have to be crazy to commit crimes against multiple victims in a location where they are well known thinking they can get away with it. I am surprised his run lasted 7 months.

If it turns out to be true, his actions are insane.

That's one option, for me it was more practical to transfer in enough pre 31st December 2023 so that no further transfers were required in 2024. I figure that buys me 1 and 1/2 years for the specifics to be clarified. I've already got a TIN from working here several years ago.

Yes, good option. Until the situation is clear moving money into Thailand is best kept on hold.

  3. I recently had to transfer money to a Government authority in the UK. I usually do this online but a problem meant that I had to go into the branch and do it there. The guy asked me umpteen questions designed to elicit if I was been subjected to a scam. The whole process took forever. At the end I asked how many times he comes across a genuine scam. He said “all the time”. Most are romance scams but these things are happening in every country and many are falling for it.

I actually feel empathy for the young man , or the alleged offender(s)

He obviously has anger issues that need to be addressed and he needs a listening ear and somewhere to sit quietly to talk about why he feels angry

He could be disturbed by past things such as bullying or sexual abuse

Of course you do, it’s only human. Especially when it’s not your family being terrorised?

    You mean incredibly stupid.

No. Incredibly brave. It takes guts to BASE jump, it’s not a sport for the faint hearted. One mistake and you are dead. I don’t see them as much different from mountaineers braving the “death zone” at Everest.

Like the French guy who traversed between the Twin Towers in the 70’s on a tightrope. Mad as a box of frogs but brave nonetheless.

You nailed it.  The only US Person in the room was Marina Gross, an interpreter employed by State. She was not allowed to take notes, nor speak with reporters or even then-SecState Mike Pompeo.

trump emerged ashen faced, and putin had a cheshire cat grin. trump that proceeded to claim he believed putin more than the agency. I know how putin threatens, and I suspect he read trump the riot act in that meeting. Some of what is known remains classified. Of course if trumpers knew, they would fabricate an excuse for trump's behavior.

Note that Presidents virtually never go into any meeting with any foreign leader, neither friend nor foe, without someone like the DNI or SecState or National Security Adviser, so as to fill in details the President might lack, or stop a President from revealing things he shouldn't. trump specifically told Pompeo and other to stay away. Then DNI Dan Coates was shocked, and resigned after.

trump did the same thing when he held that infamous Oval Office meeting with Lavrov and Kislyak, when trump burned an Israeli penetration of an Islamic terror group by mouthing off. NOBODY from the US was allowed in the room. There was only a GRU agent acting as cameraman, who took the famous shot of trump laughing with the two Russians, and who leaked word of what trump had told the two, against the admonition of Israel when it had shared that intel.

Yes. It amazes me that many Americans view Trump as a controversial, but otherwise normal candidate. It's unbelievable.
