  1. Not a new rule. Even just sending a letter by EMS I have to show my passport. For Thais, it is their ID card.
  2. I would be more concerned about the possibility of "vanishing pens."
  3. When I applied for my two daughters, it was not necessary for them to be present. Although I did it myself without an agent and was a few years ago.
  4. I just did mine two weeks ago. Went to CW to get a certificate of residence. Handed over the standard paperwork and paid 200 baht. This gets posted to you and I received it about ten days later. The same day I went to Nong Chok to make an appointment for my renewal, which was four weeks later. So in the meantime I got a medical certificate and completed the online tutorial. Went back on day of appointed test, Submitted all paperwork and did the colour blind tests etc., All done within an hour and cost 505 baht. No drama.
  5. They told The Pattaya News that they would release the python into nature far away from the residential area. As long as it is not near that actresses house with the cyanide.
  6. I think for Queen Elizabeth's coronation, the entire House of Lords attended. I believe for Charles' coronation, they have mostly all been knocked back, much to their chagrin. No matter what he does, there will always be unhappy people.
  7. So foreigners can't win? You can. Just make sure it is not the first prize.
  8. My first was refused fifteen months ago. Resubmitted with the room number, then got passed. So always include it and no problems. I applied for a certificate of residence permit last month and had not included my room number. The officer made a point of confirming what my room number was, so seemingly it is important.
  9. Did you not see his rant in Holyrood about there being no persons of colour in high ranking positions in Scotland. He is not Scottish, even though he was born in Glasgow. His affiliations belong elsewhere.
  10. I think this is how it works in Saudi. I like it, but when a pay off happens, you kind of feel that justice has been denied and that money gratification is more important than true justice.
  11. Where are his robes? Defrocked already in anticipation of the outcome or had he been out cruising.
  12. I would say "Satisfactory" from the elephant's perspective.
  13. Use Google translate. The Thais seem to know how to use it that I have had to communicate with.
  14. I bet the groom will never forget his wedding anniversary date.
