Keep an eye on the Bangkok Pattaya Hospital Facebook page. The other day they had an announcement for walk in availability on a specific day for any expat over 18. That was for Astra Zeneca.
Perhaps they will do another one soon. -
I have had one from there before. I believe it's called MadCow Burger by Toni Santos. Have them in BKK too.

OP, I have ben doing marriage extensions in Jomtien for 3-4 years now and always required KR2.
Not sure what you mean by getting a KR2 updated, as its a document you get reprinted each year then give it to immigration, ie: still married.
This was my first renewal (after my initial application last year). When I applied for my first extension last year, I just handed in the KR2 that I originally had.
But this time, they said it had to be updated i.e. I couldn't just hand the original KR2 in. I had to get an updated version from the office where the marriage was registered.

We went today to Ampeur Banglamung to get an updated KR2. Took 3 minutes. The only thing required was my wife's ID. I didn't have to show my passport and my attendance there was not even necessary. At the past I remember we had to sign the KR2 - this time no signatures were needed. So, super easy.
Agreed. It was very easy. I went alone to get it updated - no need for wife to be there or any signatures like you say

Ah ok - I guess this must be a fairly new thing in Jomtien then.
-
I thought it might have been because I have a different passport number now to what was on my original kor ror 2. But this was the case when I made my extension application last year and I wasn't asked to get it updated.

Just a heads up in case this isn't well known.
I went to get my extension of stay based on marriage today (Jomtien immigration).
I handed in all the required documents but was told I needed to get my Kor Ror 2 updated from the district office.
Perhaps this rule has always been here but I didn't see it mentioned anywhere else. For example, the useful comment in the thread below had a report from 2020 and they just mentioned handing in the Kor Ror 2 but not getting it updated.Anyway I just thought I would share in case it is indeed a new rule.

Map and photos required every year, I have used the same map and photos for 3 years now (Jomtien)
Ah I didn't realise it was ok to use the same photos. Still got some copies from last year -
Ok thanks for the information everybody. Last time I drew the map in advance and that was fine to use (Jomtien immigration) so will do that again

Are you required to draw a map and provide photos with wife at home etc for the renewal of an extension of stay based on marriage?
Or are these specific things only necessary when applying for the first extension? -
Great - thanks to you both for the replies. I don't intend to leave it particularly late but good to know that it doesn't have to be done right away

My first extension of stay based on marriage expires early next month.
I was informed that I can apply to renew it within the last 30 days of its validity.
Can the renewal application be submitted at any time during the last 30 days of validity i.e. within the last 2 weeks?
Or do I need to actually apply for it 30 days before the first one expires? -
They have always allowed a 60 day extension to the 90 days on a marriage visa. As far as I know this is nothing new.

Using inDriver as Grab too expensive
InDriver is good and this is what I was using before I discovered BOLT last week. With InDriver you can put forward a price you want to pay and then wait for people to accept (or adjust your bid if no one accepts).
I think this BOLT app is going to always be cheaper than Grab - but at the moment it's extra cheap due to them launching. The driver who picked me up the other day said it was a 6 month promotion (can't verify if that's true though)- 1

Seem to be a lot of "Bolt" apps...scooters, rideshares, courier...confusing. If Grab is still around I'll just use them...already have an account.
Grab is still around and is the most widely used. BOLT is a lot cheaper though - for example, a trip from the Darkside to Central Pattaya is less than 80 baht

Many thanks for your help. I have been told they are now insisting you renew prior to expiry. Good to hear otherwise!
You're welcome.
I renewed mine at the end of last month and it had expired in May - there was no problem regards to this. -
Appointments were needed up until recently due to covid restrictions. But I believe now that it's possible to just walk in and get it done on the day, like before.
-
And yes you can renew even after it expires. I think there's a 1 year period where you can renew if it expires without having to start again from scratch
-
Medical cert is required. I recently renewed mine - decided to use an agent to do it. Cost was 3,000 baht including the fee for the renewal itself. Agent sorted out the immigration and medical cert.
I was renewing my 2 year licence to turn it into a 5 year. Only had to do the visual tests (not watch a video).
From what I know, if you renew a 5 year licence you have to watch the video as well -
The Transport Agency have announced that anyone with a Thai Licence expiring after the 2nd January 2020 will be covered under an amnesty agreed with the Thai Police until after the lockdown/curfew has been lifted
