Open a bank account on a tourist visa for the purpose of buying a condo (Not Bangkok Bank)
Give UOB a try. They didn't care about anything except initial deposit.

Pattaya Hua Hin ferry
Rumors on the street are that the Hua Hin government doesn't want mass tourism, so they may not be making moves that would encourage that.

Thai health minister backs cannabis ban, citing surge in teen usage
Thankfully there is no issue with addiction or teen use for alcohol and cigarettes, so it's perfectly fine to sell those for recreational use.

Thai PM to discuss visa-free travel, boost Indian tourism in Thailand
Of course there are very few Europeans or Americans there. Have you seen how many Indians, Chinese and Russians are there clogging up the place! Europeans and Americans have better choices

Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part I
Is it possible that those in Thailand elite which is a tourist visa, do not pay taxes. But those on a retirement or marriage visa will? (For purposes of bringing in money for spending or even to put in the bank for income requirement)?

Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part I
So expats who reside here and bring in some of their savings each year will need to pay tax on bringing that money on?

Driver License Testing: No Win (Catch 22)
IIRC from when I did this, some of the 'correct' answers were wrong and you had to put in the wrong 'answer' to get it marked correctly. I missed one and got one point shy of perfect. Staff were shocked I scored so high. Note: I did it in English. Not sure if the problem exists in other languages. And this was quite some time ago, so not sure if they updated their software.

Move Forward will support Pheu Thai PM candidate
It's called politics my friend. The one guarantee is that no politician will keep their word when their job is on the line. The ones who would, sadly, are rarely the ones who get elected.

New Rayong Immigration requirement for retirement extensions based on 800k in the bank
I'm curious why 12 months are needed. Are you not allowed to use the money at all and you have to maintain the minimum amount in perpetuity?

We need a serious conversation about Joe Biden’s brain !
Yes, there is clearly something wrong with him. Too much work, emotionally drained from all the suffering in America and the world, and not enough golf trips. The previous guy focused on golf, and still had problems talking.

Higher quality music streaming
Not an acoustic expert or audiophile. I use Tidal with a pair of Sony noise cancelling in ear earbuds, with a Sony Xperia smartphone. The audio quality was better than Amazon or YouTube, which I already paid for, so much so that I opted to buy the Tidal subscription. I am content, other than Tidal keeps removing tracks from their offerings.

Go-to places for interior design, curtains, kitchen, Etc.
Hello all, Need to renovate a house and looking for suggestions for people to help. I know of home pro, but am curious if there are other or better options. Right now looking for sun blocking curtains, interior paint jobs to make the place look nice, and possibly a new kitchen. Side note:. The house has one of those basic default built-in kitchen inside it. Are they difficult to remove? Also welcome any other guidance you may feel will help. Thank you all.
