  1. There's a few errors there. It was around 30 graves, not 2,000. The Rohinga were not transported from Mae Hong Song. I have not read that 'border marines' broke engines, only that the towed the to sea, gave them some fuel and left them. Nonetheless, this and the appalling treatment of the Rohinga has received far too little international attention.
  2. Those figures look wrong. A quick Google shows Dmax available from 515k. Diesel a much cheaper option these days.
  3. KPL will always vary for many reasons. Mine is mostly HWY driving, which would be similar to the trip from the south the OP referred to.
  4. I'm not assuming he is guilty, that would be sillyl as it's not clear exactly what he's accused of.
  5. We are not talking about 'someone saying something', it's 14 ppl filing police reports. If it was a single woman there's a chance she would risk defamation or having her life destroyed, as the Clinton's did to ppl. Even the media is calling it harrasment when it's assualt and rape.
  6. He must have been referring to the arms trade.
  7. Of course everyone lies, I am not saying simple believe them. But a victims testimony is evidence, that's a simple fact.
  8. Of course. Charges could never be laid with out the testimonies. It's evidence, not proof.
  9. Books have been written about why it takes so long for people to come forward, there are many reasons. Nobody is coming to conclusions with out evidence, the women's testimonys is strong evidence.
  10. Yes people lie, but here we have 14. Innocent til proven guilty is for courts of law, but the court of public opinion uses a lower burden of proof, especially for law makers.
  11. Is it sexual harrasment or assualt? If it's just harrasment I'm surprised the police are involved, as this is generally not a criminal matters. Story lacks detail.
  12. Yes, good idea. Could be combined with swimming lessons, as it's the number one killer of kids here.
  13. The river is not dangerous at all this time of year. Time to teach kids to swim and save lives.
  14. I said they wouldn't be influenced by bizarre ideas and now I've given evidence of where such ideas come from. I never said lesbians from Leeds were the ones behind the feminist movement, which is also a bizarre idea.
  15. It's true, I'll forgive you for not knowing. "(More than forty years ago) a group of radical women began arguing that all feminists should be lesbians. They began calling for all feminists to embrace lesbianism. Appealing to their heterosexual sisters to get rid of men "from your beds and your heads". "We think serious feminists have no choice but to abandon heterosexuality," it reads. "Only in the system of oppression that is male supremacy does the oppressor actually invade and colonise the interior of the body of the oppressed." https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2009/jan/30/women-gayrights
  16. If you can read a sexual fantasy in that comment then I suggest professional help. Might be an idea to stay away from women, Thai or otherwise in the meantime.
  17. Did you decide this for them? I doubt Thai feminists will be too influenced by the anti sex political lesbians who so desperately want to control their sex lives and indoctrinate them with twisted ideology..
  18. I just went through a divorce here and am ok with the settlement. Don't get divorced in the UK. Get a lawyer here and make an agreement to be registered at the amphur. If she is presently dependent on you financially then use as leverage to sign. It's really important to stay in good terms if possible, because once the gloves come off you will both lose but she won't care. I've been told there are lawyers here who accept a percentage of the settlement so she won't pay anything up front. My ex never bothered getting a lawyer, most likely it was too much effort.
  19. Most Thai people you know are happy with the way things are and all Thais accept the way things are? I seem to remember lots of Thais gathering and not being happy or accepting at all. Then again that's stopped, so all is well.
