  1. had an accident once-stupid Thai lady slammed into the side of my truck-no helmet no mirrors and didn't look before she turned into me-I have emergency med training-she was ok except for road rash-the first thing the paramedics did (after I spent 30 min calming her down) was roll her over and rub alcohol on her rash-freaking morons-started her screaming again-I'd rather die than let these dumb f''ks have a go at me

  2. Been reading all this crap about the Thai politics-does anybody really think who is in charge of the goverment makes any diffrence to expats everyday life? feel free to flame at will-wn

  3. Sounds ter me like yer connected to someone else,s router who hasn,t got encryption :)

so since I'm a computer moron does that mean I keep getting internet until the guy moves? also the the connection said "unsecured" I bank and do credit cards via net-this would be dangerous(and I'm thinking yes)? True connection available and don't care about paying for it but this is much faster

again-moron in need of help-be nice please

  4. just moved back to Pats tonight and clicked IE just to see what would happen-got DLINK and it's fast and apparently free???

anybody know what this is? I'm confused...(but happy)

  5. I have a pair of Pits and both are sweet with people they know-strangers will have a problem-the reason Pits are always in the news is they ARE capable of maiming and killing-Poodle attacks aren't much of a story-Pits/Rotties/Dobies are no more unpredicable than a Chihuahua just strong enough to carry out the threat-if you have a reason to get a big tough dog YOU are responsible-I've been dog bitten twice-both by Chihuahuas-had hangnails more painful-I got the pups for home security and it works-any dog can snap-saying Pits should be banned is ridiculous-an IQ test requirement for owners would make more sense-much the same as having children

  6. I found the guy on Naebkhehars Road-gave up on HH and started looking in BKK-turns out the guy does 3 days in HH and 3 in BKK-the jury is still out on if he's any good-if nothing else is he is confident in his abilities-thanks guys-wn

  7. Is there anybody in town that does it?

Completely unrelated but is there a restaraunt that has falafel?

I've tried all the usual searches and found nothing-thanks for any help-wn

  8. I should add both are healthy-the girl has been spayed the male has not been nuetered-I was looking for a mate for him but the pits I have found here are mostly mutts-suffering a flea problem right now-cant seem to get rid of them-I think the yard is infested-both are friendly but the female gets a bit testy when strangers come around-the boy gets testy when another dog challenges his Alpha status-good with kids too but obviously its a bad idea to let any big dog play with a little kid unsupervised-the male is 33kl-the female 28kl

cant really understand why anyone would want these dogs.

Why? please explain, are you answering on behalf of all TV readers?

Not sure why you answered seems you provided no input (there again I must be as stupid responding to your post)

Whynot good luck with finding the dogs a new owner.

rereading this post made me wonder as well-are you referring to Pits as a breed or my dogs in particular? Pits are great dogs if the breeding and training are good-you can train a poodle to be mean for Gods sake(and most seem to be as far as that goes). The testy female means nobody will be breaking into your house-once she knows someone she can't even be bothered to get up-the testy male is fine after the initial meet with new dogs-so far only one has been stupid enough to challenge him-the other dog-a monster sized Shepard-ran out of his yard unattended and attacked the three of us as we were out for a walk-after trying to get the other dog off I said screw this and turned my boy loose-the fight lasted about 3 seconds after that-home and outside security-a good pair of pups. I posted the part about being testy because if someone is not willing to deal with a couple of quirks they are not the people I would want to give my dogs to.

  9. Are PitBulls a "controlled species" in Thailand? Do you have to have a license to keep one?

No they are not. In Pattaya about a year ago there was a story in Pattaya People about a Pitbull attack in some other country(I can't remember where) and the local police asked Pit owners to come in a register their dogs. As it wasn't mandatory nobody went in.

BTW-I found a very nice home for them and they are happy with lots of people and dogs around to play with.

  10. been all over the web and dont want to go door to door and get their Realtor BS-who does HQ rentals and what are the good condos-prefer beachfront-dont know HH very well and trying to save some time-appreciate any response-wn

btw-the army will take my pits-they think they can be guard dogs

  12. the initial non imm o is easy-just what astal said-NJ Books in Penang is very heplful for a minimal fee-call them and ask what you need-take proof of income and your Thai bank book with 400k just in case-the extension is the hard part-I went to immigration in Pattaya and they had a laundry list of docs they wanted plus pics of the house with me and the wife-also they didnt care about the 400k-they wanted to see proof of monthly income of over 40k-of course that could have changed-it seems they change the rules every other day-but once you get the extension its a trip to immigration every 90 days-no need to leave the country-ask for a multi entry though-a few baht more but lets you in and out with no problem-plan on a couple trips to immigration to get it done-it can be a pain-best of luck-wn

  13. No one ever replies to these how much do you drink threads with 100% honesty do they? No one ever says I get siht faced all day everyday.

    [/quote

I will-I get shitfaced all day everyday and hate myself for it-suicide or alcohol-I'll take the booze for now-yes I know I need help but it's just not there-I run a bar and cant get away from it

  14. Have a look at Siam-Legal in Market Village, two of the lawyers I have spoken to there, male and female, both speak excellent English.

They are a branch of a international company, but I don't know what they are like as lawyers.

    thx-I'll check them out-wn

  15. I have a couple of San Miguel shirts that was given to all me and my staff.

And we don't even sell San Miguel. beerfunnel.gif

San Miguel is on a massive promotion run in Thailand-promo people everywhere-a year or so ago they were selling the big bottles in 7/11 for 120 baht-now they are at 60-cheaper than Heinikens-I think they want to be in the Thai market in a big way-at our bar pretty much all we move is SM and Leo with the occasional Heineken or Singha thrown in

I have noticed in talking to other bar operators they promise alot and deliver very little-and yes-we got the shirts too-still waiting for the signage lol

  16. title and description are fairly self explanatory-I hate the ride to BKK and standing in line forever at the embassy

I ask cuz when I was in Patts they would come 3 or 4 times a year

when I called the embassy all I got was I dont know-ok do you know someone who does? I dont know again

  17. Can anyone recommend a fair priced builders merchants in HH or Cha Am.

Need a house load of CPAC/Qcon or superblocks 3000-5000 blocks

I see you haven't gotten a lot of serious answers. There are some Thai places (best ones I know of in Hua Hin) on the road to Palau falls. If you cross the horrible railroad intersection, then go past "G" supermarket and turn right. At the "Y" with the canal road follow the road left and you will begin to see them. There is a cement place on the left almost immediately and then further up the road there is a cluster of Thai hardware and building supply places on the right side. We used those but mostly we went to Pranburi and Tha Yang as there are lots of places in both and the materials there are generally cheaper than in Hua Hin.

I have been there before-good place and they have just about everything
