10 thefts over a year ain't bad.say 10 x500b and he's been compensated on some of them.bb caps are next to nothing.ive had two thais crash into my parked pcx (solly I have no money, only cost me 9,200b) Isuzu rear light unit maybe 2,000b and done a runner.
i say hang them high so thais can learn a lesson too.

Being from France I would suggest laos or Vietnam.plenty of french people and very cheap with visa being a lot easier.
why come to a country that expats are leaving or being forced out with new immigration laws.

Best I've seen is a couple of dove looking birds.i think the stray cats keep the bird population down.anything with four legs unless it's a dog is living on borrowed time.

We are over run with wildlife up here in issan.dingo and rats everywhere.in all my years here I've never seen more than a few lucky birds.

Thanks, yes I'm on the mend and can't knock the staff or treatment as it was the main public hospital but the thought of losing my life because I didn't have £3,500 in my back pocket leaves me worried about my future here.i said can't you patch me up to get home and they said....you won't make it.

I've just got out of intensive care tonight after suffering a pulmonary edema and my lungs filling up with water.the doctor asked for 35,000 deposit with my passport and if he was to repair the stent then it was another 110,000 or he wouldn't perform the operation.in other words leave me to drown on my own water filling up my lungs or heart failure.
before anyone goes on about insurance I can't get it due to pre existing stents x3 which obviously one wasn't doing its job.

Why have to leave the country.get 30 day on arrival and then 30day extention from immo.
if the tourist have to go another country they probably won't come back until they have to fly home From Bkk.

It's the....do you know who I am syndrome that effects most thais when they get behind the wheel of an expensive car.he probably lives in a tin shack with some soi dogs.
in the uk the judge would probably ask for a psychiatric report before sentencing a <deleted> like this.

Whenever the wife asks for help I just say...teerak I not have work permit,I want to help but your government won't let me and that's the end of that because her government is the best in the world and they know what's best for their country.

And heres the latest from yesterday at immo.the insurance required is only valid if you get it through one of the government recommended companies...don't just go out and get your own.also my friend phoned a company and asked them if this was good for his visa and he said yes but mt friend looked through the list and that company wasn't on the list.if he had taken it on the sales mans word he would of been throwing the money down the drain and conned.ahyway he went into immo in udon and she demanded his health cover but my wife said it don't start yet and after the immo losing face she had to issue his extention.she even knocked him back on the 12 months proof of income and said it's only 2 months so my wife looked and pointed the 12 months of payments.again losing face.
-
And tomorrow's new is.....immigration says we have spoken to all involved and it was agreed it was a misunderstanding.
This country is one big joke.
-
My friend went into udon immo yesterday.hes a retired US major.asked him for bank proof of pension which he easily covered but they said he must get a letter from his US bank to say where the money comes from.then said where's his medical health insurance as he's on a non AO.he pulled out his Medicare and his army health insurance and got the knock back on both of them too.
so the latest I can report is you need health insurance today.

I would of thought an elite visa is about as strong as any other visa.
the only difference is when they throw you out of the country they laugh at you for paying a silly amount of cash for nothing more than a Thai promise and we know about that one

Hey why not go the whole way and have farang gasoline pumps at 50b a litre, farang bank accounts with zero interest rates,or even FAT (farang added tax) at all checkouts and payment centres.
very good timing too with the baht going through the roof.

Not easy since the 2 visa exempt entries per calendar year at land borders went into effect in January of 2017.
They would need a multiple entry tourist visa to do it now. The embassy in Vientiane will issue one for those living in Laos due to that rule going into effect.
Not correct since January of 2017.
Sorry about the wrong info.ive never had a problem but I'm on a marriage visa multi entry.i didn't think about only 2 land crossings a year.so it's still possible but through obtaining a multi entry visa?
i have never had a problem with immo and I now go savannaket for 12 month multi entry based on marriage.i have to leave the country every 90 days and I'm an hour from the Vientiane boarder so make a day trip for duty free, the best bread in Asia and a couple of hours in the casino.

How does that work with visa's from Laos to Thailand weekly for Farangs if they wanted to live in Laos and shop etc in Udon Thani? Is it a big hassle?
Very easy to come in through Vientiane the only problem is going back in to Lao as they stick a huge page stamp in your passport and charge $20 to enter the country.im in the uk at the moment and I'm getting a new passport with extended amount of pages in it.i suppose it's different if your just a day tripper going in and out every couple of week rather than someone coming in and out for 60-90 days at a time and look like your trying to live in Thailand.

OP, elite visa would for sure work out for you but if i was you and you have nothing better planned than staying in thailand often i would get the 20 year one for 1mio instead of the 500k for 5. I regret not doing it.
Have to agree that they having not very good amenities.there is a army of laos cars come to udon everyday for the shopping and hospitals.nothing wrong with looking for value though.what with the rocketing baht Thailand is getting like Venezuela for the average retired farang.if I could start over again I would live Lao and weekly shop in udon thani and bank the elite visa money.
i think one of the main reasons why farang end up in Thailand rather than the surrounding countries are they get off the flight in Bkk and the wheels fall off.

Even better try laos, super cheap, easy to cross borders, looks quite like Thailand and friendly people.

Meanwhile in London the pm2.5 was reading 8ppm yesterday but with the help of a bit more taxing the nuts out of Londoners they will be able to get it down another point.
