Take UK full lockdown
Its not the end of the world bars ect closing
There is always next year to look forward to ( hopefully )

No sympathy deserves to be punished as already mentioned lucky to get off with 30K plus the fine of 500baht
Won't be kicking anyone else in future if he wants to stay in Thailand

Cant seriously see people travelling to Pattaya now as nothing open
As for the rest of the country people will travel to see their families
Then after the New Year the whole country up to the Provincial Governors will start their local lock downs
After the Horse has bolted so to speak

Can't see Tourist coming untll the Quarantine measures are lifted
If Tourists are willing to get the vaccine and spend 15 days in Quarantine
Plus everything else associated flights ect
Then some of us us on here must be missing something
Which is possible ????

As already mentioned we will all suffer the Consequences for the Government not taking any action earlier ie Provinces not putting Quarantine and lockdowns in place
After the New year is finished let's see how the numbers pan out
-
Well I think we all know what is coming after the New Years holiday is over
The Provincial Governors will start enforcing the travel and drink restrictions
Just surprised its not happening now
Proberly to late now as most people will be travelling to their home or holiday destinations in the coming days

Well reading about the new 4 day holidays being introduced who besides Government workers who are paid for the days off can afford these
Was reading about people cashing in their gold hoardings to pay bills ect
I think the interest in this new Domestic holidays will start to wane off
As most cant afford it plus have more priority concerns like putting food on the table

Well looks like the Government is thinking more of the business side of things over the coming New Year hotel bookings restaurants ect
People are travelling in the coming days to late now to stop now
Will be interesting to see how this pans out in January
Hindsight is a wonderful thing

Have to smile when they pull these figures out of the air
They have no clue how things will progress next year with the Corivirus
The Quarantine measures will have to go before Tourists will come to Thailand
Looks more like a wish list and hoping or praying whichever comes first

I cancelled my New Year trip up north, lost the money on the flights, got a refund on the hire car and hadn’t booked the hotel yet. Hoping they will lockdown then I will get the flights refunded.
I have watched Europe and the USA all year and thought they were plain stupid for plane travel so it would also be stupid for me to do it now even though I was reluctant to cancel. I was also concerned about getting stuck up north if they locked down when I was there.
IMO they should lockdown over NEw Year. Most people have a week off anyway, just make them stay where they are, like they did at Songkran. That worked. There is more covid now in Thailand and the world than back then. If I was in charge I would call a two week lockdown tomorrow and then reassess. Hopefully nip it in the bud.
The problem with New Year is families and friends get crammed in together in the same car to travel. Only one has to have it, then it will spread to everyone in the car during the long drive. Then they all get out at the destination and visit their various friends and families and it will spread further. Then they head back to work and further spread it. And all the oldies in the village will have it also.To beat covid you have to social distance, not socialise.
i hope I am wrong but it could really be a disaster. Stupid to risk it for a holiday. Once numbers get past a certain level it will be impossible to eliminate like they did last time, and it will just be lockdown after lockdown just trying to contain it like in Europe and failing miserably.
Better to go hard, go fast IMO.
It wasn’t Prayuts idea to lockdown the first time, he was pressured into it. I hope they pressure him again but time is running out.
Yes totally agree the Prime Minister should lead from the front on this
But now is handing the decision back to the Provincial Governors
Bit late after the New Year like closing the stable doors after the horses have bolted

Seems to be conflicting reports one says by March other before March
The way things are going with more Corivirus cases going up each day
Could be looking after the New Year maybe even before?

The Provincial Governor here in Chai Nat province was one of the first to introduce lockdown procedures the last time and there was no Corivirus cases
Just waiting now to see what happens

Just close the hotel sends out a warning to others not to get involved in Illegal
Activities

I think if the numbers keep increasing the Provincial Governors
Will introduce Lockdown Procedures in their own Provinces
When their was less or No cases before?

Well as already mentioned Boris was not leaving with out a deal which no doubt will <deleted> off quite a few Brexit leavers
Who don't care about the hit the country would have taken jobs wise plus a low pound ect
Accept the deal is done let's get on with it look forward to a prosperous New Year 2021
-
Well at least that's positive news for Christmas
Will see what happens next week before New Year hopefully the same
So let's all enjoy

If there are people willing to buy into this scheme and looking at the numbers seems so
Its positive instead of always reading negative news about investing in Thailand
Proberly a surprise to some on here

Why stock-up on anything, the supermarkets didn't close last time?
Looking more at the alcohol side of things
-
Well its better to be on the safe side all festive activities should be reviewed and if needed cancelled
If the situation gets worse Provincial leaders could start the lockdown procedures
I am keeping a eye out on this could be i will need to stock up as per say from the supermarket

Considering the Nana plaza complex is more for Tourists who have money to spend and are looking for a good time
Seems a reasonable price
then again if you are not a tourist there are cheaper places to drink in Bangkok
