Testoviron works. I have been on Testoviron, because my family doctor in Canada told me, that it is better than the stuff we have in Canada. I take it, because it calms me and makes feel about 20-30 years younger. I shoot one of those little ampules, twice a month and it works great.
The only side effects that I have from it is, that my cholesterol is very high and my red blood cell count too high, but I can live with that ;-)
Before I started testosterone therapy, my quality of life was way lower. I will take it, until the day I day and don't care if that day comes sooner because of it.

Since Thaivisa.com is full of law firms trying to make money from gullible foreigners, my suggestion would be, find someone who has a similar situation as you, who used a lawyer or notary to draw up a will for them and who registered it with the night amphur. Then use that document, changing information as needed, make a few copies, go to the amphurs office and get them stamped. Simple, easy and cheap.

Unfortunately not. For some reason Skype doesn't have setting up a Canadian number as an option.
As to the original post:
1) Probably not overly cost effective but I just use an ATM here and max out the $1,200 I can take in a single transaction. My account in Canada (TD) doesn't charge for international ATM use as long as I keep $5K in the account, but the Thai bank jacks about $8.
2) Sending you a PM. I'm a partner at a Canadian accounting firm so we could potentially assist here.
3) Have you considered getting insurance here or are you set on heading back home if there's an issue? As noted Alberta waives the 3 month rule but you do have to stay there for a while.
4) I'd reach out to a Canadian lawyer first just to confirm that something done here in Thailand will be recognized in Canada even if it's notarized etc. Ultimately a lawyer in Canada could certainly help you with this remotely.
5) As others have noted you can transfer to a RRIF. You can't make contributions anymore and have an annual minimal withdrawal, but it's better than taking the tax hit of cashing out your RRSP all at once.
6) Best bet is to split your assets into different currencies if you're really concerned about the CDN$ losing value to the baht and that screwing with your retirement. You can diversify to a USD or SGD account or even consider transferring some assets to Thailand and utilizing an investment manager here. If you plan to spend in baht for the rest of your life it can make sense to have your savings in baht too.
This question might sound dumb to you guys, since I have been over here for about 16 years... which bank machine can you get $1200 from? The most I ever get, is from the Bangkok Bank (25000 Baht), but would love to find a bank machine, where I can draw out more, to save on banking fees on both ends. Thanks

Alberta doesn't have a 3 month waiting period. You could move there in case of health emergency, but you have to commit yourself to staying a year for residency purposes.
Thats' great info. Thank you. BC still has a 3 month disqualification, as far as I know.

Thank you for all the info. Looks like it is doable, which is good to hear. It was just one of those things, on my mind, while making the final decision to stay here. I have been here for about 16 years, but this is the first time, I have actually asked and received some answers to this question.
In my past dealings with Government officals in this Country, I have found that the attitude of the person applying, makes a big difference sometimes. Respect, Politeness and a Smile, seem to go a long ways.
Thanks again. Cheers.

I have been looking for answers to this....
I know, that if a person is hospitalized, immigration often comes to extend your visa, but what I am wondering is....
What if you get old in your home, living with your Thai wife and you are physically unable to come in and apply for a Marriage or Retirement Visa every year? Are there alternative ways of obtaining another marriage visa or retirement visa, without coming to immigration in person?
Can I give Power of Attourney to my wife, for example and get her to apply for me, if I am personally unable to do so?
As this will become (or already is) and important issue, for many foreigners on retirement or marriage visa, I would really appreciate some concrete steps on how to proceed, in an above scenario.
Thank you

I am looking for an extension cord, 75-100 meters. I need to pressure wash my cement fish tanks on my aquaponic farm. Got the garden hose, but not the extension cord. I am located in Chiang Dao. Prefer used for a good deal, but ideas where to buy new appreciated, too.

Savannakhet , Laos with the same paperwork and no need for your wife to be there. There is nowhere else.
If you have 400,000 Bht in a Thai bank or a provable income of 40,000 Bht /month you could apply for an extension of stay based on marriage from immigration.
An extension of stay provides a one year renewable stay and ends the need for border runs every 90 days.
How much money will I have to show in Sawannakhet? Just want to make sure I am prepared property. Thanks for the info on one year extension, too. That might be an option by then.
- No money required in Savannakhet.
- You can also get a multiple entry non 'O' from Penang, Malaysia, but you would need to show a minimum of 100K baht in the bank.
That's great! Main thing is, that I don't have to fly back to Canada to get the visa. I see Sawanakhet is way over on the Eastern border, so a flight to Penang might be a better option, from Chiang Mai. Great to have some options and again, thanks for all the advise
-
Thanks for all the info. Savanakhet sounds great to me, if I don't need to show money (or no more than 40000 Baht) and don't have to bring my wife. I like my 90 day border runs. Gives me an excuse to jump on my bike and go on a little run. Just tired of going all the way back to Canada every year.
Thanks again
Respects

Hi guys and gals,
For the past 12 years, I have been getting one year, non-immigrant type O, multiple entry visas, in Canada, because I have returned
to Canada every year. I plan on staying in SE Asia (mostly Thailand) for the next few years, without returning to Canada. Where
do I have to go to get the same visa, if not from my home country? What do I need for documentation (based on marriage), cash on
hand, etc.? Does my wife have to come with me, when I get my new visa?
Here in Canada, I never had to show money and they give me a new visa every year, by just showing our marriage certificate, a copy
of my wife's ID card and Tabien Baan, signed by her and my passport. Showing money is no problem, I just need to know how much?
My physical health is starting to prevent me from living in Canada, so I need to look at my options. My wife is Thai, so looks
like we will be living in Thailand, if I can get the proper visas.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Cheers

Whow.... 1.5 cubic meters per month. My hat is off to you, Canopy. That's only 1500 Liters per month.
My needs (or wants) are quite a bit higher. My current well, is only producing about 14 liters per hour, which is nothing, but I hear that lots of people are having problems with water at the moment. (March 1 2016). I bought storage tanks, so I can store up to about 5000 liters of water, for family use, commercial kitchen and our 450 orchids, plus a few trees. I also have rain water going into the first tank and from there into the other two, when the first one is full. Same with my well water. 14 liters per hour is 336 liters per day, which will slowly replenish what we use.
In dry season, (now), I plan on buying a truckload of water, from a deep water well, for 450 Baht (for 2000 Liters), whenever my tanks get low. I think that two or three loads per dry season should be enough. So maybe I will be looking at 1350 Bath per year for water purchases. Since I am going to be 58 years old and doubt that I will live past 100, it will still be much cheaper than getting a deep well drilled. My neighbor had to go to 120 Meters deep and all together with pumps, permit, etc, etc,, it cost him about 190000 Baht.
His advantage is, that his water is drinkable from the tap and I have to buy bottled water or install filters.
This is in Northern Thailand, Chiang Dao, Chiang Mai Province.
One drawback with rainwater is, that you will get bird feces, dust, etc. in it sometimes, so it would be a good idea to put a sand/carbon filter inbetween your water supply and your house. You can make your own cheaply.
I am not really that fuzzy. I grew up swimming in dirty ponds and swallowing water, that today would make me wretch, without even thinking about it as a kid.
I am interested in a good, reliable deep water drilling company, in Chiang Mai Province, who guarantee their work and water supply for several years and who are reasonably priced. Any info would be welcomed.
Thank you.
I consume 1.5 cubic meters of water per month. The dry season without reliable rain can last 6 months. So I opted for 8 Thai jars linked together which each hold a months supply and cost 750 baht each. It's more than enough water for my household needs. It would be better to have an underground tank sized to serve an entire household of people with lots extra for landscaping and I may do that at some point. But for now the system I have is plenty for my modest needs.

I have been going back and forth between Canada and Thailand, for about 15 years now. Every year, I always get my 1 year multiple entry Type O visa, in Vancouver, by just showing my marriage certificate of my Thai wife and a copy of her Tabien Baan.
Thing is, I want to spend the next two years in Thailand, without returning home and was wondering, if i can get the same visa somewhere else, like Kuala Lamphur? I am also interested what I would have to bring for documents and cash in order to get it?
Canada is a long flight away and i would love to skip it for a few years, if I can, but I like crossing be border every three months, so I would like to keep getting the Non-IMM Type O one year visa. Any suggestions?

Hi guys, I was looking at the Misubishi EP 355 Constant Pressure pump and it says...
Suction distance (m): 8 Transmission distance (m.):22
I am looking for a pump, hopefully with constant pressure, because my automatic washing machine displays error messages and goes looney, if the electric or water pressure is unstable.
My plan is to pump up the water, out of my well, that is around 5 meters deep, send it about 60 meters, next to my house and then pump it up about 5 meters, into my water storage tank. What would be a good pump to do all that and not be overkill and blow apart the PVC pipes later?
I am open to different makes, but want to stay away from the Chinese thow away models, but still want to find one that is cost effficent ;-)
Thanks

Hi guys,
I am looking for 240 Sheets of 4'x8', one inch thick styrofoam sheets, in Chiang Mai. Any suggestions where to find that quantity and where to buy them cheap? In metric, that would be 1.2 meters by 2.4 meter sheets, 2.5cm thick, I think.
I already know it's flammable, but not a concern for the high drop ceiling I am building, for a tiled shop. I am just looking for a cheap, lightweight option.
Thanks

It's far from a joke and must be opposed, so it does not get brought up again. In Canada, you can buy beautiful 10 year old vehicles, in Mint shape for dirt cheap. My friend bought a Mercedez Convertible, 10 years old. Looked like it just came out of the showroom, for about $9000 US. It was already inspected and ready for the road in Canada with import taxes, etc. already paid.
Result of such laws in Thailand would mean, that the poor middle class would get poorer. People would loose anywhere from 30000 - 3 million Baht, because they would not be able to drive their 10 year old cars anymore in Thailand. If they follow Japans example (and don't believe they won't, if they get away with it), only the rich car manufacturers and car companies will benefit. It will be the end to many mechanics in Thailand and hundreds of thousands of people will be without vehicles.
...and what about us expats? I drive a 1995 Mazda Pickup Truck in excellent mechanical shape. Could probably sell it for close to 200000 Baht as it sits right now. If that law past, it would only be good as a plant holder. If it trickled down to motorcycles, My Harley (500000 Baht, my wife's Steed (160,000 Baht), our little Suzuki ( 20,000 Baht) and our 900 Ninja (about 100000 Baht), would all be useless ornaments in Thailand.
Remember, Thailand is the land of copy...they copied some of the toughest pollution laws already, copied drinking and driving laws, smoking laws, drug laws. If everyone does not oppose this, sooner or later, when the climate looks right to them, the Thai Government will pass this into law, too.
After all, it's always about a handful of people, working to get richer than everyone else.

I hope there are no Christians laughing at this story ?? when they believe the world was made in 7 days, ( I wonder where the millions of years of dinosaurs fit in ? ) and woman is a rib from a man, why haven't all men got one less rib? and a woman had a baby with out sex? must have caught it off a toilet seat...
Don't forget the guy (god) she fooled around with on her husband
-
Hmmmm....most of you come from a Courtries, where millions of citizens still believe, that they have a God, who never changes... a god that proclaimed himself as a jealous god and according to your "holy book" killed 10's of thousands of Isrealites (his chosen people), just because they decided to go worship a golden cow... a god, who is all powerful, therefore, in our Countries "Acts of God" are properly named, because why else would an all powerful God let thousands of people get wiped out in Earthquakes, floods, famine or disease? and....on top of that HE LOVES YOU. lol.
Then, according to the Western Fairy Tale, he has a son. Born by a human mother and God's own spirit. This woman of course was married to another guy, who you call Joseph. So that god, who tells you not to commit adultery, fools around with this guys wife and has a son. Time goes on...and 33 years later, "god" lets his son get whipped, stoned and finally nailed to a cross, a (torturous practice of killing criminals at the time), where he dies. Then, three days later, he comes back to life and assends into the heavens. Of course, that Fairly Tale, had been told in a few different versions, way further back in history than 2016 years ago, but that doesn't matter to your Countrymen, because of course, your version is the right one.
To show their devotion, Millions of masochists are running around with replicas of the cross, that killed their God's son, which of course was their God,, too.
...BUT.....you don't have to go all the way to the cruzifiction to see how sick and demented this religion is. How about going back to Abramam, whom God told to sacrifice his son. According to the Bible, Abraham, in the end was willing to do it and was just about to kill his own son, when his "god" stopped him. Now lets looks into this a little more. If you had somebody come along, tell you he is your almighty God and he wants you to kill your son, would you go ahead and do it? I don't know about you, but I would tell him to F off. God or no god. A loving God, who plays sick, psychopathic mind games with you, like that?
That religion might have been fine a few thousand years ago, when people were uneducated, but in todays world, common, give me a break lol.
I challenge any of you, who believe in that particular Fairy Tale, to read the bible from beginning to the end. I'm sure, by the time, you get through the old Testament, you will wonder how you could ever believe such rubbish.
Oh, I almost forgot, according to the bible, he also wiped out amost everyone on Earth, Man, woman children, animals, except for Noah and his family. Hope you all enjoy worshipping the biggest mass murderer in history. I wonder what all those deer, rabbits and other animals did, to deserve that... and...do you honestly believe, that all of humanity, except for one family, were justified to be destroyed by one individual? The Christian God makes Hitler or Bush look like Kindergarten students.
Then again, as long as it makes people happy and doesn't hurt other people, I say let them believe or do what they want. Just don't come knocking on my door, early in the morning, trying to unload your BS on me ;-)
As for the dolls, who cares. If it makes them feel better and they are not hurting anyone, let them believe what they want to believe.
Just think of the thousands of morons on Facebook, who still forward stuff, because they think they will get lucky, or bad fortune, if they don't.
Personally, I rather spend my money on other things than dolls or crosses or giving it to men in drag.

Like any other time, when the price was high for a particular product, everybody and their dog, started planting rubber trees....in the South, in the North, all over the place. You think they will ever learn? Then they come crying to the Government to subsidize them. Maybe, when they get away from the "copy" mentality, people will start getting creative and start procucing products that nobody else makes and they will actually make money.

I've got a Type O, 1 year multiple entry visa, which I normally renew in Mayamar, every 90 days. Is the Maesai border open for visa stamps these days? I heard then closed it?
No problem at Mae Sai to do a crossing if you have a valid visa for re-entry.
Great, thank you

So let me get this straight...they impounded vehicles, fined drivers, put some drivers in jail and still, there were more road deaths this year around New Years, than the year before, when they did (almost) nothing.
Everytime, Thailand tries to copy the West, with law enforcement strategies, it backfires on them. Thailand used to have a prosperous hemp industry, until they bought into the US rhetoric about the "War on Drugs", burned all the fields and put 10s of thousands of people out of work, who used to live from hemp production and production of hemp products, like clothing, etc.
Meanwhile, a few years later, ,some States in the US legalized Marijuana and are making huge profits on taxes and less cost on crime prevention and incarceration.
I see the same thing with drinking and driving....
There are over 7 Billion people on this planet. over 82 million of them live in Thailand. Yes, some will die, due to drunk drivers, but that is a very small minority. More people die everyday, because people are stupid or don't know how to drive. They don't even know how to cross the road, when they are walking. I had people run out right in front of me before, in daylight.
Too many deaths get blamed on drunk driving and there are too many sheep, who just repeat anything they hear. The accident, I almost died from, back in 1990, I was sober. The 62 year old woman who was driving the car that cut me off, was sober. When my wife got cut off on her bike a few months ago and ended up in the hospital, she was sober. The stupid Bi&%h who cut her off, was sober, too, Texting while she was driving.
Just try to use your brain for a moment and think about any accidents you or people you know had. Were they drunk or sober?
Organizations like MADD, get millions of dollars in funding every year, which they use to brainwash the public. It makes me sick, when I think about it.
For example, if you are 0.5, in Canada, you are over the limit. That, for the average person, is one small beer. They will take your license for 90 days, seize your car for three month plus a fine and your insurance goes up. For having one small beer??? Grow up people. Quit letting everyone take away your freedoms and rights.
When I was young, we would drive to the pub, have a few beers and some food, listen to some live music or watch a hockey game and drive home. Today, if I did that, I would be considered a criminal, if caught.
I don't want Thailand to be a clone of the "political correct moral minority". I moved here, because when I got here in 2000, things were the way I liked them. It was like going back 50 years in time and it was great. Now, every year, they are introducing more Bullsh*t laws, copied from the West.
In Canada, they even take away your drivers license (if you have one), if you ride your bicycle drunk. Now where is the logic in that.
We are becoming a world of conditioned, brainwashed slaves, who are expected to be happy to live on next to nothing, working for people and Corporations who are filthy rich. We are trained to be peaceful, not to make waves and to think positive. As soon as you give someone a little dose of reality, the first thing they will say is.... "ohh, you are so negative". That or they will try to medicate you, telling you there is something wrong with you. There is nothing wrong with you, BUT there is plenty wrong with society.
The real hypocracy over here is, that the people making the drinking and driving laws are not even affected by them, because they all have their chaffeurs and motorcades to drive them around. They have lost touch with the reality of the average working person in this country....
The husband and wife, who work from the time the sun rises, until it sets in the fields. Sweating all day in the sun. They work all their lives but go nowwhere. They never get ahead. They will most likely be in debt all their lives. Then, when the husband stops for a few drinks (gongs) on the way home, to ease his physical and mental pain, he gets stopped by the police and gets a 20000 Baht fine for drinking and driving or his only mode of transportation taken away.
It is sad to see, what we have become. A bunch of people scared of their own shadows.

I'd be interested to find out, when the Mae Sai bike party is? January or February? Any contact number? Would like to plan around border run if possible. Usually a very good party.

GMO's are already outlawed in most Western Countries. If Thailand continues with them, they jeaporize their exports. First of GMO vegetables and secondly of chickens, etc. Who are being fed GMO products. Thailand is a big chicken exporter and it will only take a few demonstrators in Countries like Canada, places like the European Union, etc. to stop imports from Thailand, so the Thai Government better take another look.

As for supply, I have been told that there has been a supply shortage for quite a while, so I buy a pack, whenever I can find it. Usually in the Pharmacy near Thae Pae Gate (inside the gate) or up on Chiang Moi Road, near the Chinese Gate
