LOL..."The Pentagon is reviewing military relations with its SE Asia Ally". What a joke. The US has been licking Thailand's boots for years now, trying to keep it's influence and not to loose out to China. Now they are trying to threaten the Thai military
If I was the Thai General, I would have the following message to the US and it's Western Allies..."DILLIGAF"?

Thank you, PDRC and members of the Democratic Party, for hanging in so long and for making so many sacrifices, in order to get rid of Thaksin's cronies. Our thanks to the military and General Prayuth, for finally stepping in and stopping the bloodshed.
Let's hope that Thailand will move on, in a positive way after all this. Long Live the King! Long Live Thailand!

At least, he is not sitting on it

So far http://www.asiaupdate.tv/live Red
and http://www.blueskychannel.tv/ Yellow
are not broadcasting.
PDRC have found other ways to get their message out live...
also here...
Thai-reading/speaking followers --
Ways of keeping up-to-date with PDRC and the muanmahaprachachon during BLUESKY Channel's temporary suspension:
1. Kamnan Suthep Thaugsuban (สุเทพ เทือกสุบรรณ)'s facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/suthep.fb
2. PDRC spokesperson Akanat Promphan (เอกนัฏ พร้อมพันธุ์ (ขิง))'s facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/KhingAkanat (pictured here)
3. Kor Por Tor/NSPRT livestream link: http://new.livestream.com/accounts/5960351/events/2912289
4. The Thai Energy Network's page: www.thaienergynetwork.org
5. Livestream from the PDRC Ratchadamnoen stage (by unidentified providers):
I would think, that the Reds are doing the same somewhere

I believe, this is the best possible scenario, that could have come out of all of this. Things seem to be moving in the right direction
-
Now that things are turning out as Suthep had hoped, all there is left for the reds, is Suthep bashing now. Watch for the Senate appointing a Prime Minister next or otherwise being the voice of the Government for now. Another loss of Thaskin and his cronies

hmmm...first martial law, then probably a new PM appointed by the Senate...this is all playing out nicely and more or less as expected.
In fact, it means no such thing. The govt remains in office even in the context of martial law. This simply removes from the streets the groups in conflict.
First of all, there is no legitimate Government, at the moment. Secondly, declaring martial law, pulled the last few teeth (CAPO and the ability of the Reds to mobilize) from Thaksin and his cronies. The logical next step, is for the Senate to appoint a Prime Minister (who of course will not be a paid puppet of the man in Dubai)
Looks like you have your choice of either the Upper House (Senate) or the military making the decisions, but it will definitely not be the past Government (Thaksin)

I guess, they have to do something, in order to make people believe, that they still have some strength

Does that mean that his Nickname is Nut? Would be appropriate, me thinks

Suthep's huge demonstrations against the Amnesty Bill, initially got Yingluck to step down. As a Caretaker Government, she doesn't have the influence to change laws anymore, which stopped her and her team in its tracks.
Thanksin's cronies were busy, trying to declare Amnesty for him and to change the Constitution to suit them. All that, thanks mostly to Suthep, has ground to a halt.
So I believe, that Suthep is doing his job well. Keeping people motivated and out on the streets for six months is not an easy job and I am not sure if it had been done before anywhere, on this big scale and for so long, before?
I believe, that things will unfold very similar to last time, when the PAD took over the airport and the Government was forced out by the courts. Both forces, Suthep and the Courts, work in harmony. The courts will get the credit, yes.

I think the airport would be a much better location. Much more effective.

Ahhh yes, the great freedom of Speech
....and some of you guys believe that should not be illegal in Thailand to say what you want
Quite a double standard, I would say.
I would say a lot more, but it will get censored by some go-gooders anyway, who think they have to protect everyone else.
I will say this...when I was living on the Reserve years ago, in Canada, I had a lot of people call me honky. I could take it as a joke and laugh with them or I could punch them in the head, but not once did I go whining to their Elders or anyone else about it.
If something is not done mean spirited and without intend to harm, I have no problem with it at all.
We don't all look the same, we are not all the same gender, or the same sex orientation. There is nothing wrong with being "different". Variety is the spice of life.
To point out the differences, in fun (for both parties involved) ways, is fine, as far as I am concerned. To do it with the intention to put the other person down or to cause them harm, is not o.k.
Society, in my opinion, has gone way overboard with it's so called "Political Correctness". I see nothing wrong with old nursery rhymes, great literature of old, such as Mark Twains writings, etc. and to me, the thing that covers the pipes under the road, will always be a "Manhole Cover". I heard, they were even talking about changing the name for that, in the West
What a crazy world we live in.

Never mind the never ending last battles. I want to see pictures (of the actual rally), they claimed just drew tens of thousands of reds. For some reason, those stories never seem to be verified by pictures

Has Suthep gone political mad ?
Or is this a good cop bad cop situations, where the two are working together behind the scenes.
Lets take a closer look
Abhisit now looks like the good guy in all of this, Yingluck is the idiot hanging onto power by her teeth and will not let go
She can not defeat Suthep, so agree with Abhisit as she thinks he can not defeat Suthep
all the time this is part of the plan
Abhisit talk to Suthep when all of thailand are looking for a saviour
Suthep agrees with Abhisit
Abhisit become a Statesman and the true hero for Thailand
and at the election will walk into power with a massive majority
Maybe this is all a dream, or a well planed operation
It has been done before in many situation and worked
So is this the trap that will get rid of the Sinawats for good
just an opinion, at the end of the 10 days we will have the answer
Its got to be better the the other plan
Suthep has gone mad with power and will lead Thailand in to Civil war against the Red shirt Leader who wants the same thing
Suthep is not looking for civil war. He never was. The courts are on the side of the "current" laws, which PT, Yingluck and Thaksin keep ignoring and fighting. So the only ones, who could have possibly benefited from a civil war, is the Red side. (I really believe nobody would benefit from a civil war)
The only ones, who have done "saber rattling", has been the UDD and Reds. A bunch of whackos , as I see it and most people in Thailand, I believe are getting tired of the red rhetoric. They can't even get a decent demonstration together anymore. Never mind trying to get a "mass rally"
As far as the rest of the above comments. Yes, I do believe it is all a game. A game of chess played by mediocre players on both sides. As always, the pawns are first to get wiped out, which is the sad part.

They really should have the grammar police after them for their constant misuse of the word 'mass'.
A dozen Red Leaders, a few Red MP's and half a dozen Red followers, plus a priest, to hold mass, so they can call it a mass rally?

Maybe he needed a few more hours to get all that money out of the Country, that never made it into the education system to help the poor to get educated?
