I suggested he try the Phillipines for real love

So what are you implying? its only the Thai girls who are after money or want money for their time? So what are you trying to say?, western woman don't like money and don't want to be paid for their time and

are you applying that you can't find real love with a Thai girl? LOL i think someone has learnt his lesson the hard way. Finding love isn’t determind by country, culture, religon or colour.

Can we please stop pretending that 17 year old teenagers are children?

Thailand has a big problem with step fathers and other family members who rape a lot younger girls than 17. And often the mother knows what's going on. And young children can't just run away. That is where the task force should work at. That will keep them busy for some time.

In a perfect world the police would catch all the bad guys. In a not so perfect world they should concentrate first on the worst case offenders who really rape young children. There are too many of them. That should be priority #1.

Your right, it is a big problem and its not only the thais who are doing wrong with the younger girl, these girls are entertaining expats, tourist and other foreigners who buy and feed alcohol and grop them known their underage, that makes them just as guilty.

What they don't tell you if something goes wrong, say with an operation. What measures are there to protect the patient? In the west, all in the medical profession are held responsible for their actions, I doubt this applies in Thailand !

Thats a very simple answer, these morons come home and its us, the tax payers who foot their medical costs to have the stuff ups reparied.

  5. Guess this post be again full of whinging westerner expats blaming the Thai dog or the Thai people or the Thai government or the Thai weather or Thailand itself. Whinge whinge whinge. This forum should be changed to "thaivisawhingingexpats." Amusing how some expats come to live there only to whinge and bitch all day about everyone and everything.

Gee, it was a brit who attacked the dog? i wouldn't have guessed.

  6. You have to look at the bigger picture here.

Guess who is paying for smokers-related illnesses that arise in the future? Who pays for the hospital stays for months on end to get treated, who pays for the oxygen and wheelchairs needed because they need tubes down there lungs to help breath?

That's right the NON-smokers pay threw there government/medicare taxes.

Here in Australia, it cost 320 million a year of health care for smoking-related illness and its non-smokers taxes are going to treat these people.

The government decided years ago to whack the prices up so much on smokes so that part of that money goes back into the medical system to help treat their self inflicted illness, and it's a good deterrent.

Tens of thousands have given up. The cost of cigarettes is around $50.00 pack or(over one dollar a cigerette) here.

  7. There are two kinds of smokers, Educated and Uneducated,

Educated are the ones who don't go smoking around other people, kids, shop fronts, eatery or anywhere their smoke will affect others, and dispose their butts correctly.

Uneducated are the ones who don't give a shit where they smoke who they affect, flick their butts anywhere, don't follow "NO SMOKING" areas and have NO consideration of others and smoke with kids in the car. Then their coughing and spitting everywhere from the effects. disgusting.

I am not against people who smoke only the smokers that don't have common sense.

I would just stick with Windows Defender built into Windows 10 by default.

I also run CCleaner once a month to clear cookies, cache and most importantly to clean up my Registry.

Not much sense in running CC for a general clean up, they also get rid of all your good cookies as well, your forever haven to manually log back into every site you belong to, that's where superantispyware comes into it, they remove all your tracking, bad etc and unnecessary cookies and keep your good ones. The only time I would use CC is if infected to the point i would have to use CC and other sophisticated ways of infection removal. Just a word of warning, using any kind of registry cleaner can be asking for trouble if you don't know what you're doing, tho they have come along way since the earlier days, I wouldn't encourage general users to run/use them, but if you do make sure you take steps to back up your pc before you run the program.

  9. Just remember, antivirus is just that, protects against viruses and nothing else, they don't protect against the more dangerous malware and spyware,(some antiviruses claim they do but they don't) if you download the free version of superantispyware and free version of malawarebytes, run them manually once a week, your computers should be clean. No need to buy them as you don't want the full programs running in the background in conjunction with your antivirus, some times they can conflict. give them a try and you see what i mean that using just an antivirus is not enough to keep your pc clean.

    Mixed feelings on this one.

One one hand, kudos to the boys and their coach for cashing in on their misfortune.

OTOH, to reward them for a rather foolish outing that cost the taxpayers millions of baht and the life of a rescuer doesn't send an appropriate message to anyone contemplating their next adventure.  Basically, all they really did was screw up and live to have someone else tell about it.

And I guess you where never a kid that liked to explore????? "a foolish outing" man, get a life and stop talking cra.p

Diving into a swimming pool now considered reckless? The insurance company needs to be suitably shamed and harassed.

Not only reckless but no common as well, jumping or diving into pools or any other waters without known how deep or what dangers are there is just plain stupid and asking for trouble. I'm convinced common sense is dead and buried and of Course the insurance company won't pay they see it as self-inflicted, which it was, but don't worry good old GFP and peoples hard earnt money will pay for her stupidity.
