That's not quite accurate. It's true that the Pfizer-BioNtech vaccine needs -70°C but Moderna's requires in the first instance (and for long term storage) -20°C. It can only be stored at normal refrigerator temperatures for a relatively short period, as the article below from The Scientist explains:

    Moderna vaccine

Of the current front-runners, it's only the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine that can be stored indefinitely at normal refrigerator temperatures.

And they are charging for it at cost: $1.70, so why is Thailand paying $17 for the German developed one? Possibly a misprint?

And so your answer is to send people back to huts and shacks (or, rather, even more huts and shacks), let'em eat rice, pick a few mangoes off their trees, and enjoy the "sustainability." Exactly how and where do you intend to live while this is going on?

The country was a lot more pleasant 2/3 decades ago, yes.  The people still live in the same houses, on the land they have owned for generations, just they didn't employ a load of Burmese labourers.

Circumferential cracking is not a good thing....The sidewalls are built to flex and dissipate heat and are the weakest part of the tire....If over/under inflated the sidewalls flex in areas it's not designed to....

Usually, when you see a big tire carcass peeled off on the road, it's probably a sidewall blow out....Drive through Arizona and you'll see them all over the roads....

Those cracks are on the treads not sidewalls. The tyres are fine and would be ok to go to the wear indicator, provided they are less than 5 years old. The manufacture date is on the sidewall but I think the sale date is more relevant, mind you I bought some tyres this year after a flat in an underpass - by the time I exited it the tyre was shredded so needed a new pair. Luckily ended up with 50% discount as they admitted they had sat in the stockroom for a year. Rare bargain in LOS! I recommend Michelin Pilot Sports: on every car of ours for the last 10 years and phenomenal in the wet.

madmen probably thinks there is no power on board until it plugs into a 240v outlet !!

That is the case for a lot of small boats: alternators on their auxiliary engines, solar or wind power to charge the batteries and inverters for 220V.

    Do yacht crew need visas?

If so, how did they obtain an STV or TR60?

(I'm assuming they don't have a valid ext of stay/re-entry permit.)

Of course they need visas, and so do the boats. They have marine industry immigration agents.

When the arrival of 3 yachts is considered newsworthy one needs to say no more about the state of the Thai tourist industry.

If you were in the yachting industry, having 3 yachts that have been stateless for months finally allowed in and with many more waiting to come, you would find that very newsworthy. Any relevance to the tourist industry is incidental but this could well herald a general opening up of the borders.

As can be seen from all the previous comments this is a highly contentious subject......

Apparently now in the UK you can't smoke in a car if you have children in there. ????

Would you seriously do that? My Dad did 50 years ago but the sugar/tobacco lobby (ironically joined forces as cigarettes are 50% sugar) told us at the time that smoking and sugar were good for us (and fat was the cause of obesity: untrue too). Fortunately most of us have been educated a bit since and smoking in a small space with children in should be a criminal offence, not to mention appalling behaviour.

I really don't understand people wanting to take cannabis other sick people, that is my view and my opinion.

In England we called people who took it for just getting high smack heads.

You are a little confused aren't you? Smack is heroin, rather a different kettle of fish. Presumably you're not actually English though, as it doesn't seem to be your first language.

What do these ambassador have to do with tourists ?? Tourists will only come if there will be no stupid visa regulation and other requirement. These ambassador cannot ask mass tourists to come even if they want to.

Have you never accessed your country's embassy website? These people write the official guidelines for tourism from their respective countries, so totally relevant to tourism even in the current situation, which can change. Pretty obvious, not sure why it needs pointing out.

This is just one of the many perks that ambassadors and their staff and families enjoy, so remote from us plebs who pay their salaries, relocation costs medical expenses and pensions.

This is actually what they do for a living: represent their countries and accept official invitations.
