Taladrod is better than One2car in my opinion. Site works better and sellers more open - fewer dodgy dealers.

That's not quite accurate. It's true that the Pfizer-BioNtech vaccine needs -70°C but Moderna's requires in the first instance (and for long term storage) -20°C. It can only be stored at normal refrigerator temperatures for a relatively short period, as the article below from The Scientist explains:
Of the current front-runners, it's only the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine that can be stored indefinitely at normal refrigerator temperatures.
And they are charging for it at cost: $1.70, so why is Thailand paying $17 for the German developed one? Possibly a misprint?

Many many will refuse to take this vaccine and this mandate that a vaccine is required to travel will show its head this year.
Thailand has recognized that tourism in the future is over and must look to other avenues
I do not think that Thailand will ever be the same again.
Thailand must now be concerned about those Thais that are now really struggling with survival...I hope they will.
What sort of idiot won't take the vaccine? Surely there aren't that many people out there with that sort of ignorance? Up to them anyway. Hardly going to have an effect on a macro scale. And here in Phuket for a start, the vast majority of people affected are foreign workers from Burma or Cambodia, who aren't here any more. Meanwhile the beaches are fairly busy with local folk having a great time without the farang hordes: quite uplifting to see lots of them on paddleboards and surfing etc which didn't happen before. I'm liking the change to be honest, and who cares a damn about property developers or estate agents?

And so your answer is to send people back to huts and shacks (or, rather, even more huts and shacks), let'em eat rice, pick a few mangoes off their trees, and enjoy the "sustainability." Exactly how and where do you intend to live while this is going on?
The country was a lot more pleasant 2/3 decades ago, yes. The people still live in the same houses, on the land they have owned for generations, just they didn't employ a load of Burmese labourers.

Should have chosen something a little less mickey-mouse then.. Hospitality management degree!! ????

the big difference between people in thailand and people in the west is that the vast majority of westerners can afford at least 1 holiday a year, be it domestic or international.
in thailand the opposite is true, the vast majority can just about make ends meet never mind a holiday in a luxury hotel on the beach. The vast majority of Thais are still rural country folk who have probably never been inside a modern hotel, let alone spend a week in one.
Thailand's population is actually predominantly urban nowadays (51% living in towns & cities) and not as badly off as people take for granted. They just don't really care about travelling much. Not typical, but my wife owned a house, paid for, plus car, businesses etc, from leaving university and had only left Bangkok once in her life, for a family holiday in Hua Hin as a child. We met on her second ever holiday..

I am wondering how to buy it: I signed up to Coinbase and successfully got UKP/Euro wallets, but I can't register a bank account as I don't have a UK one and it won't let me register my Singapore cards. Does anyone know a method that works from here, i.e. different trading platforms?

Circumferential cracking is not a good thing....The sidewalls are built to flex and dissipate heat and are the weakest part of the tire....If over/under inflated the sidewalls flex in areas it's not designed to....
Usually, when you see a big tire carcass peeled off on the road, it's probably a sidewall blow out....Drive through Arizona and you'll see them all over the roads....
Those cracks are on the treads not sidewalls. The tyres are fine and would be ok to go to the wear indicator, provided they are less than 5 years old. The manufacture date is on the sidewall but I think the sale date is more relevant, mind you I bought some tyres this year after a flat in an underpass - by the time I exited it the tyre was shredded so needed a new pair. Luckily ended up with 50% discount as they admitted they had sat in the stockroom for a year. Rare bargain in LOS! I recommend Michelin Pilot Sports: on every car of ours for the last 10 years and phenomenal in the wet.

they are using cell phones to do contact tracing. If other phones are on while in the bus or van, they'll know who was there. No app needed for this.
Good luck with identifying any or all the phones on one vehicle on one past day in city traffic.

madmen probably thinks there is no power on board until it plugs into a 240v outlet !!
That is the case for a lot of small boats: alternators on their auxiliary engines, solar or wind power to charge the batteries and inverters for 220V.

Do yacht crew need visas?
If so, how did they obtain an STV or TR60?
(I'm assuming they don't have a valid ext of stay/re-entry permit.)
Of course they need visas, and so do the boats. They have marine industry immigration agents.

When the arrival of 3 yachts is considered newsworthy one needs to say no more about the state of the Thai tourist industry.
If you were in the yachting industry, having 3 yachts that have been stateless for months finally allowed in and with many more waiting to come, you would find that very newsworthy. Any relevance to the tourist industry is incidental but this could well herald a general opening up of the borders.

As can be seen from all the previous comments this is a highly contentious subject......
Apparently now in the UK you can't smoke in a car if you have children in there. ????
Would you seriously do that? My Dad did 50 years ago but the sugar/tobacco lobby (ironically joined forces as cigarettes are 50% sugar) told us at the time that smoking and sugar were good for us (and fat was the cause of obesity: untrue too). Fortunately most of us have been educated a bit since and smoking in a small space with children in should be a criminal offence, not to mention appalling behaviour.

In England we called people who took it for just getting high smack heads.
You are a little confused aren't you? Smack is heroin, rather a different kettle of fish. Presumably you're not actually English though, as it doesn't seem to be your first language.

Which drugs are linked to drugged driving?
After alcohol, marijuana is the drug most often found in the blood of drivers involved in crashes.
Obviously: it's the second most commonly used intoxicant, so how could it not be the second most found? And how many of those drivers didn't also have alcohol in their blood?

Same, my wife and I have Huawei's: P20 pro and Mate 10 and they are easily the best phones I've come across. Both were bought secondhand for way less than 50% of their new prices, both within months of their launch, quite common in Singapore where people change them like underwear. Had both for well over a year and no intention of replacing either. Had Samsung phones and a tablet, all of which were regretted. I cannot get my head round why anyone would want to spend 35k baht on a phone either: bizarre. As is the OP moaning about a 7k online purchase she had warranty issue with after losing the receipt, trying to trash a company that had nothing to do with the problem.

I have lived in Kata for 10 years and like it here. The beach is easily the best on Phuket - I started in Bang Tao then Kamala but Kata is way less expensive and more pleasant. Agreed that it's less residential than Rawai and Chalong but that also makes it more relaxed. Not expensive at all, I don't think. There's not much in the way of girly bar sois but there are some, and Chalong/Rawai has plenty of that, if that's your thing - not for me. Plenty of decent places to drink and eat otherwise, or play pool and watch sports etc and it's quite central too - close to Villa Mart/HomePro, 2 Makros, Global House, 10 mins from Patong too.
I have a lovely 2 large bedroom/2 bath 2-storey house in a small, spread out, very quiet development with a decent garden and fabulous view over Kata and the sea and I pay 15k/month (annual basis). I'm just a little too far out for walking, but there are plenty of places closer from rooms, bungalows and houses to condo developments. You could resort to a sam-lo if you can't face a 'bike - some of my neighbours do. I'm certainly not intending to move from here - you're right to love it and way better and a bit more genteel than Chalong/Rawai or even Karon, which I always found a bit dismal.

What do these ambassador have to do with tourists ?? Tourists will only come if there will be no stupid visa regulation and other requirement. These ambassador cannot ask mass tourists to come even if they want to.
Have you never accessed your country's embassy website? These people write the official guidelines for tourism from their respective countries, so totally relevant to tourism even in the current situation, which can change. Pretty obvious, not sure why it needs pointing out.

Do you really need this explaining? If one appoints an expert witness one generally believes what they say and acts upon it, which is the correct legal process.
