  1. Asking for a friend,

Does anyone have any knowledge or first hand experience of who pays the hoslital fees if a thai national is hospitalised after a motorcycle accident . The motorcyclist had no insurance ( and drunk)  and has been apparently landed with a huge bill for his treatment . Is this funded fully by the state or would he be liable for all costs for his treatment.

Thanks in advance for any advice or experience .

And why does his alleged service in the UDR matter here? It has no relevance to the  alleged murder in pattaya

No one said it did but it does have relevance as to where his loyalty lies as originally suggested .

I think he would be the first to deny he was Irish as first initial reports suggested . Regardless of where his loyalty lies he should have been banged up awaiting execution .

With the absence of any evidence that he was a loyalist, I don't think that its me that looks foolish.

Read the original report and look at the flag on the bungalow exterior wall he rented . You don't need to be Colombo to see he was a loyalist .

Also read the threads about the article as this was already discussed .

I see no tattoos or flags. What makes you think that he's a loyalist? if he's gone to ground in the Republic, he's unlikely to be a loyalist. Nice story though.

At the time of his arrest he was shown to be sitting in the back of a police pick up with a large red hand of ulster flag proudly displayed on the bungalow he was renting . It was determined he was a "British man " by the police as at the time as his passport was British with an address in Northern Ireland .

You may remember some reports in the papers .

"Photos of the property yesterday afternoon show the broken pool queue on the blood-covered floor and the machete on the covered pool table. A large Northern Ireland flag was hung at the entrance to the one-story Elliot estate, and police have confirmed that he is from the country"

"Brit from Northern Ireland brutally murdered a Pattaya sex worker early on Thursday morning at his home"

    Yep, big risk.

90% of them were canceled on the departure board when I was there the other day.

But, the other post did say Ïtś possible¨  Possible vs. definitely or likely or are not the same.

Exactly , I've had 18 flights canceled from the last week in March to date and from what I read on various forums etc. I'm not alone..and to make matters worse , most Airlines seem to offering only vouchers as refunds  which have a 12 month shelf life .

  6. I read somewhere UAE are trying to get ahead of the rest attracting tourists as early as July/August .

Hotels etc. are under strict guidelines of course , suppose this would be the new normal for all countries .

The reason I mention UAE specifically is I've a 24 hour wait in Abu Dhabi headed to Dublin and dont fancy sleeping in the airport but as there are no tourists allowed to stop over outside the airport my options are limited .

So watching closely before canceling my flight and redirecting to london then dublin .

i am pretty desperate to leave back to Uk( things to do people to see..so dont be nosey )

flight changed from April to early September

Confident i can fly out without any issue

Uk will probably drop quarantine by then, if not i am sure i can be worked around i doubt even you would be checked

Big problems is the return (Dec /Jan ish) here with this bunch of "cluckwits" running the show and whatever "requirements they will dream up.

I have feeling the same cosy easy rules that apply to any returning  tourists will not be extended to a returning expat .and it could prove tiresome and expensive

Seriously might be time to just make here a holiday home for a fews months a year so i am looking at shipping dogs back and let the mrs(who would never leave her daughters an grand kids) fend for herself for a while

As far as I'm aware quarantine in the UK would be self quarantine if you have an address to give otherwise it's a hotel at your expense . Lots of flights leaving Suvarnabhumi every sunday to the UK with Eva I think the airlines called . So if desperate this would be a no brainer . You could use the refunded ticket to come back when all your business is sorted .

I have only been here 6 yrs and mostly kept to myself,

but I have heard you can get someone knocked off pretty

    cheap here.

I would go that route, the dude will never pay anything

    and you know that.

Spend that lawyer money more wisely .

Better pay that debt with Bit-coin , just to cover your tracks.

I can hear the cops at your door lol

You'll need to explain to me how the plants grow in fields in Cambodia and VIetnam where day temperatures are 40c in the sun and nights rarely get below 30c. A lot of information spread of 'grow forums' is just wrong.

Tropical plants needing air-con ....... are you sure?

Different strains react to different temperatures . Some suited to warmer climates and some to colder . Tropical plants dont need aircon , just near natural climates and nutrients .... hydro systems and other soil less systems with led lights prove this
