I think restaurants need to diversify from one location to survive.

Not all can do this but some can go mobile and cash in on the walking street type trade.

Italian food like lasagne and pastas are being sold at our sat market and they surprisingly do a roaring trade.

It's noticeable, surprising as it's not even that good but it's a 45baht 7x7x4cm piece of lasagne.

Burgers are killing it too on these markets as well as just chips with a cheesy sauce.

The above appear to be mainstays of the market now. 

All these types of businesses keep their range pretty focussed.

I've dipped my toe into Facebook recently but not for catching up with anyone but networking.

Joined a lot of groups which interest me and I see the value it has for business now with these groups and these social media influencers but it annoys me as a big part of this whole scene is directing business.

For example: On a popular Thailand travel group all these influencers are pushing these long winded stories about all kinds of tours with the (book before you go) tag. (Influencers in this instance are people who will provide a voluntary highly informative recent thai experience and sprinkle in a few (dont miss out) fears which prompts a lot of newbies.

Disappointing to see as that idea of the unknown on the first trip here really was fun. 

The content of Facebook aside from a friend catalogue is actually pretty good. The brexit battle is on, big time on Facebook.  

But as a friend updating tool it's over and that's fine with me.

Messenger/whatsapp is how to be in touch with friends and family and I don't follow anyone as it feels lazy. If I want to see how someone is doing will take a peek or reach out.

Our son watches YouTube since 15 months in his baby jail. Annoys me the Russian and Spanish cartoons but he seems to like them and the English and Thai too.

We use 1P1L mostly but if he misbehave it's normally English. 

He's just turned 2 and says a few words in english and Thai but I'm prepared for a bit of a delay on that front as I've asked around a bit.

Will start reading to him for 15 each night soon but right now he is learning to sit still and listen to his mother pray each night. Once he realises he's gotta sit still will begin reading to him as a reward.

My Mrs mom paid 65000 baht for 32 talang wah next to her house. She got it down from 100k but only because she told us when she visited. She's got a real POS for a son and he basically told the seller how much cash she had and they concocted a plan to relieve her of it.

That silly purchase will send values up in there crappy village now. 

She's happy though.

I think it did fizzle out tbh. Im not keen on the Taylor character either or that midget rival of Ax. I really liked chucks wife to begin but now I just don't fancy her anymore. Arsenal and man Utd for 3rd and 4th I reckon. Spurs have dropped off big time and they got a difficult run in. West ham to face too and that's always a tough one for them.

One missing player who doesn't get much love from some united fans, let alone anyone else, is Ashley Young. You just can't put a price on the leadership and fight he brings to the table. 

Maybe not just the team though. The man management. Dust has settled recently and the zip has gone for the most part. Great result in Paris but that aside it's looking a bit hazardous and OGS just does not look like a man who can get the troops fired up but if he can rouse them for the derby next month and get a result he's a top man in my book.

Nah wolves matched you early on in the season when they drew and as time has progressed they are just a better team. A few players at wolves could get into most of the top teams. 

Scary game fairplay to Babel. Salah wasted too many to mention and needs a goal. Plays too much to his right imo.

Mane is a saviour and great header that hit crossbar. Matip needs to retire from trying to scorw from geaders amd lay it off to someone more clinical.

I do worry about the family emergency. Sure gets mad because I talk bad about her family when I ask and try to plan for something that hasn't happened. 

 

I guess the fact that I'm having these conversations with this women is a big red flag. She has admitted to feeling the need to send mom money and has a long history of this on her own. 

 

I guess this is revealing my selfishness to her and you guys. So be it.   I have thought I should tell her whatever we send your mother we will send mine.  So we will have to eat out 8 times a month less of course I don't like to eat out two times a month so you will be cooking every night.   There are two daughters and supposedly they would inherit the farm.  I want to tell her if she donates more to Mom than her sister she should get more land then her sister. Maybe I should tell her we can make arrangements for the money we send Mom that is more than your sister sendwe buy more land each month. 

This is how my stingy logical mind works.  I guess currently they don't discuss how much each sibling gives mom.   

and I should add it does not appear the amount of money she has given is based on Mom's asking or needs.  It's more a face generosity thing. and when I asked why doesn't the farm make enough money she says it loses money but it provides rice for all the family to eat.  so I will be paying for how many people's bags of rice in the village and family?  But this type of logic doesn't work I'm pretty sure.

Her family lack sugar  and milk so we send snacks and milk powder every month. Have been doing this for nearly 2 years. They seem to be doing really well (touch wood) 

They were really weak and thin but both have a bit of roundness to there faces now and have a lot more life in them. 

Besides money you should tell the family to keep there mouths shut on whatever you send them.
