  1. What everyone here, including the red moded accounts that are answering don’t understand is this. Whether you have a visa of any kind, tourist or non immigrant, immigration can deny you entry. Your visa does not guarantee you entry. In this case, it was very simple. The OP was denied entry because immigration did not believe he is a legitimate tourist. If you enter often like this on a tourist visa, it is advised to use an agency entering over a land border. An agency that takes you to the Thai consulate in Savanaket on a visa run would be the best. However, if you insist to fly in, there are things you can do to prove you are a legitimate tourist as follows: 1. Provide a return or onward flight if asked. 2. Prove travel funds if asked 3. Prove paid up hotel accommodation if asked. 4. Provide the name and contact details of your girlfriend if that’s why you visit often. How does the OP support himself while he is here so often during a calendar year? That’s what immigration is concerned about people working illegally. The officer was absolutely correct because with the op’s next duration of stay, that would have brought him to staying over 180 days in Thailand during one calendar year. That then makes the OP a resident for tax purposes. Tourist don’t live 6 months per year in another country. Thailand has visas in place for this. Elite visa, LTR, you can legitimately study Thai, you can legitimately work for a foundation or a company. You can get married to a Thai. Go find yourself a reliable visa agent and sort yourself out with a more long term sustainable visa if you want to stay longer. There is no reason to be quoting laws here or referring people to expensive law firms. We need things explained in easy ways so everyone understands. 1. Why were you refused entry in simple tens ? 2. What can you do to avoid it? 3. what other visa options are available that are more sustainable? 4. Who can help me if I can’t do it myself ?
  2. Use an iPhone and it’s all done automatically. But perhaps that’s too expensive for the OP. He’s crying over spending 15,000 Baht and even before spending it, he’s worried about how to transfer data. Just tell him to buy a Samsung Hero and get it over with. ????????????????
  3. That would be too easy for him to search. It’s much easier for him to post on an anonymous forum and then disappear.
  4. Why do you guys even bother? A Tuesday post begging for help and claiming Lazada can sell the same new phone for 30% less. Now Thursday and no hide nor hair of the OP. Typical online keyboard genius ????????????
  5. “The Minister told the Associated Press yesterday, June 2nd, that the Secretary-General initially reported the situation after the venue reopening and admitted that he was worried because each venue had a high risk as they were loud and people needed to speak louder. Some may remove their masks and get close to one another to speak which could cause an increase in infections. The Minister also claimed many people were breaking Covid-19 rules such as dancing and sharing glasses and bottles.” I guess he has not been to an entertainment venue operating as a fake restaurant before June 1st as no customers were wearing masks. Now they “ease restrictions” but expect people to wear masks? I don’t see much difference as the legal closing times are still midnight and seems they will try to enforce mask wearing. That ain’t goona happen. On top of that, all these venues, especially in Pattaya are paying tea money now to stay open until 2-3 am now. What’s the point to all this nonsense anyways.
  6. The only accurate thing in this article is “opinion”
  7. The writer of this article seems to be the type of person that won’t use an agent because he thinks he will get a better deal or save a few bucks. I have an agent and referred a friend. Just yesterday, she took him to see 10 places and he found one he liked in Patumnak for 14,500 Baht in a relatively new condo building. 65 m2 approximately. I would go the agent way to save time every time. The picture the Op is painting is not correct at all. “Opinion” is the only truly accurate thing in the article.
  8. What visa did you have before your covid visa ? If non-immigrant visa, can only get 30 days covid extension with Embassy letter. With previous visa tourist visas or visa exempt can get 60 day covid visa as normal.
  9. Yes, I agree. It’s clearly an issue with the rerouting of the MC3 hash and now I’m on overstay for 442 days with a successful report. It’s clearly time for stage 2. ????
  10. My sources are saying it won’t be extended. With test and go back on, they think they have a handle on covid. The economy is now the number 1 priority.
  11. As per the attached mind map, it’s up to the doctor. The short answer is you can stay home if your symptoms are not severe or non existent.
  12. All the bars in Bangkok and Pattaya have been open for 10 days already 55555
  13. This thread just proves what all of us know already. It’s very sad to see all the selfishness come out in the open like this. The OP even said he has insurance. He is just hiding it out of convenience and for no other reason. I say again, what about the contact tracing and the possibility of someone he came in contact with infecting someone older who might die or become seriously sick? For what ? So the OP can be more comfortable? What is this world coming to?
  14. What a selfish thing to do!!! Part of the reporting is the contact tracing to find out who else was infected. What if you infected someone who then went to their home and infected their grandmother who then passes away due to covid because she is older. Your insurance covers it so you are being selfish along with all the others in this post who have commented. I’m sorry to say this but it’s true. All just to feel more comfortable!!???? I’m sorry but this had to be said.
  15. Don’t get me started about Pattaya. Just like Bangkok, Pattaya opened the bars. They have been opened for 10 days now and I personally know many people who have gotten coviid. They used the home test and after they are just staying home not reporting it and not caring about who they may have infected. They are scared to go into the 14 day mandatory quarantine and health monitoring. Cases in Pattaya have sky rocketed, and the police are keeping quiet as they have gotten tea money like crazy. I suspect Bangkok is the same. There is no way you can pack so many people into bars and not have this happen. In my condo, foreigners refuse to wear masks in the lifts. Mark my words, we will be in lockdown by January 15 and no bars will be allowed to open legally as promised. People have ruined everything for the sake up 2 weeks of partying and making money. It will be locked down again for another year. Som Nam Na I say!!!!
  16. I don’t quite understand this comment. Does it mean that if THAILAND gets infected with Omicron just like every other country , that the Health Minister is doing a bad job? I guess that means fire every other Health Minister from every other country in the world right? Because as you know, there is no stopping this. It just has to run its course. We can only vaccinate and get boasters if we choose to do so., that way if we get sick, it won’t be deadly. If we choose not to get vaccinated, we will get covid. Some will die, some will get really sick, and some won’t even know they have it. Anyways, still don’t understand this comment.
  17. Sorry but not true. I’m a farang and I was given Astra Zeneca and I’m not dead lol. I suggest not to post things that are not true. Thanks
  18. An amnesty for long time overstayers? What a great idea. The guy that is on one day overstay on his way to the airport goes through a check point where they ask for his passport. He gets arrested, deported and blacklisted for 1 year. The other guy on overstay for 10 years living like a recluse gets amnesty. I don’t know what kind of gonga the OP was smoking when he wrote this but I want some LOL.
  19. Disney plus is exclusively offered by AIS in their package at a discount or you can just download the app on any phone, tablet or Apple TV 4K , android tv box and subscribe direct
  20. And I answer that. Ask for a medical certificate.
  21. Staff should be working from home so the problem is the management in the company. Do you really want someone with Covid coming to work? For this case, have her supply a medical certificate and if the doctor does not agree then she will need to return to working which should be working from home now.
  22. I am going to have to respectfully disagree. Volunteers are given the status by being employed by a local Thai foundation or Association as a volunteer and this is the key point. If the volunteer work you are referring to is not related to a local Thai Foundation or Association then I really don’t know what you are talking about. But 1 million percent you cannot extend your non O visa based on being a volunteer for a Local Thai Foundation or Association without a work permit. End of story. Recalling previous posts and sending a doc from a law firm about the emergency decree in 2018 is not relevant to Foundation and Association law and the immigration law related to them. Thanks Joe.
