You need to find another doctor mate.
You should not be on meds for BP.
Get yourself a machine to take your BP at home. Get it from Lazada.
Take your BP 3 times a day.
Relax for 15 mins before, do not cover your arm with clothes, sit upright, feet on floor, arm rested on table with elbow at 90 degrees
Each time you take your BP do it 3 times. You will get 3 different readings. Average them out to find your true reading.
You never get a true reading at the doctor.
If its still higher than you want, lose weight, improve your diet, but most of all STOP STRESSING.

Several impressive situations for sure.
A farang acquaintance told me recently he purchases a solar 'set up' to create enough charge to run one a/c all night and it worked well, so he bought a second unit.
Any comments on this much appreciated.
Why, because our family is big, my Thai son has 3 very young kids and we run 3 a/c's most of the night, so our bill is pretty high, if son can establish more positive comments re solar just for a/c's he intends to buy.
(By the way, I'm not looking for snide / judgemental comments on a/c's for kids.)
you can only run an ac from solar during the night if you have a battery. This battery is charged from the sun during the day (or from the grid) and the power from the battery can be used at night. Its the cost of the batterys that make solar very expensive. It can be a very good investment if your kwh useage is large, but if you only use about 10 a day, it would take a long time to re claim your investment

if someone moved near to me with 30 dogs, their life expectancy would be under one week............plain and simple

Kill em all.
My gf trying to sell house, but next door there are 2 dogs left alone all day, and go fecking mental everytime anyone comes close. Already lost a number of potential buyers.
Owner of the dogs does not care. Just says sorry, sorry, sorry. <deleted>.
So how would you feel if you cant sell a 3 million house because of next doors dogs?
Would you be ok about it? Or would you want them culled?
The owner wont do anything..................
I dont hate dogs, far from it...........but this is money........and its costing me lots.
So am i perfectly within my rights to put down some tasty spiked pork for these pain in the arse k9s?

My pensions both state and military are taxed in the UK. Plus, I have a fixed exchange rate The UK has a tax treaty with Thailand.
you DO NOT need to submit a tax return unless the Thai Gov tell you to apply for a tax number.
Do NOTHING.

and all this has been officially announced by the Gov?
No..........it has not.
Nice for you to try and help out, but not taking any notice.
When the Gov make an official announcement, I will sit up and take notice.
Whatever happens, it will be a curve ball..........and we can all deal with curve balls with planning and strategy
Remember, this is Thailand, there is always a way........

I went to a well known private hospital last week for yet another minor procedure.
I paid the bill and yet again was told to wait to collect my medicines. I used a debit card.
When I collected the medicines, yet again, I was prescribed pain killers and anti inflammatory tablets. This is in spite of me telling the doctors 'please only prescribe must have medicines'.
So, I complained to the pharmacist who very nicely said sorry and offered to have them removed from the bill.
Back to the cashier where she said that she had refunded the monies for the first bill and I then paid the money for the second (lower) bill. Again, using the debit card.
Next day, I downloaded the online statement. (A lot of transactions go through my bank account.)
No credit for the first payment.
So today, back to the hospital for a follow up after last week's procedure (the urologists are only there on Saturday and Sunday)
I took along a copy of the bank statement since last Saturday. Still no refund.
I then asked the staff at registration to find out why.
Response after a short wait was 'it takes up to a week for the refund to come through'.
I pointed out that today was the eighth day.
'It could take longer'. was the reply.
A debit card transaction takes the money from the account immediately.
A credit has a delay.
Back to the heading. Who has my money?
Is this standard practice for all debit card credits or just this particular hospital 'taking its time'?why did you pay the bill if it was not correct?
that was your dumb mistake.

If you live in that area, you need to go there and throw meat balls with rat poison into the owners garden.
either that or shoot the bastards
because nothing is going to happen other wise.

the majority of times it is the fault of the owners, normally leaving the dogs alone.
so you cant really blame the dog, but that does not solve the problem.
i have 2 next door to me, go mental everytime anyone drives by. its just relentless.
sorry, sorry, is all the owner says, never does eff all about it.
luckily, we are moving to a new village with security and strict rules about noise pollution.
im also investing in double glazing.........
if that does not work.........i will solve the problem......i have a remedy........but not for this post.

Not so much in CM. Or at CMU.
Thats right, because they are rounded up and sent to one of your neighbouring countries where they become a hearty meal for the locals.
Wish they did that where I live

How can people just surrender their passport to these scumbags, lol
I hope the issuing countries keep a tab on every mug who willingly surrenders the passport to these so called "agents" never issue a replacement passport again.
i could not agree more. idiots.

buy a Concept 2, or if too expensive for you, buy an Air Rower from Lazada.
Whatever machine that spring came from must be an antique or low quality rower.
if your serious about rowing, do the above

the tax law has not gone through parliament yet.
it is being opposed.
it will be impossible for them to administer anyway.
how are they going to tell if you transfer money from the sale of a house, inheritance, pension? etc, etc.
how are they going to understand your tax return even if they as to see it?
they dont understand basic paperwork that is not in Thai (or in Thai for that matter).
Having said that..........TIT. they might just deduct 35% tax from everything we send over and let us fight to get it back.
Like Bob, I am planning not to be here half the year.
But I am also looking at ways to bring money in tax free even if i am here.

Oh come on.
the whole story is ridiculous
i know Thais are whimps regarding health issues, ie, go to hospital if they cough twice in a day...........but into hospital for a fever? And a bill that size even if they did think she was foreign?
Absolute rubbish in my opinion.

I've been taking meds for high BP for several years, but for the last few weeks it's been quite low, like 110/60. I haven't noticed any side effects like dizziness, but wondering if I should reduce taking the meds to every second day, and yes, will probaby need to see a doctor again. I'm 81 so don't expect my BP to be the perfect 120/80
who told you this is low? In my opinion, your bp is brilliant.

The house I want to rent is 70,000 a month. (At siam royal view)
I cant believe anyone would want to reply to this ridiculous post

anyone who tells me their building is quiet...........i will call them a liar
even multi million condos and apartments have noise issues.
i have lived in enough to know that i will never live in one again.
Spain was probably worse than Thailand as the removal of shoes is not a thing there, and the women stomp around in their high heels all hours, day and night........and the dragging of furniture..........
Not for me any more thanks. I live in Detached houses, that is it.
