No amount of proof will be enough for some people.

In a country where very few people seem to cook and prepare their own food it must be hard to know how much salt you are consuming. The solution seems obvious

Surely the biggest reason to avoid Phuket is the 30,000 or so Expats!
No Thanks

I was told by the wife that some new law states that almost all drugs can now only be sold when there is a pharmacist in residence, she could not even buy Imodium anywhere early evening because of this new rule

Oh & give you the opportunity to enter your receipt number if you're travelling on a re-entry permit?
Obviously not so this fee will be charged to everybody (Including my Thai partner if I book us flights together) or (as I suspect will be the case) collected at the airport... Which will be a nightmare, will be canned after 1-2 months & cause irrepareable damage to Thailand's reputation as a tourist desination.
Very few people care about the 300b but I'll never go to Bali again after having to stand in line for almost 2 hours to pay for a Visa to enter... It's not what I go on holiday to do.
Absolutely right. Airlines will not filter those that are exempt so everyone will pay.
And it's nice to see the govt finally admit that those arriving by land borders are not real tourists so they can amend figures to exclude them from tourism numbers in future.

This could be fixed with a bit of know how and determination. It never will be though and the villagers know it. Farming in the hills is a ridiculously difficult and unrewarding way to make a living.

Chiang Dao Wildlife Sanctuary is now run by UNESCO, hard to believe they would allow this

Loved flying around the Maldives on the DeHavilland Otter Planes, but not so sure about these retrofitted Cessna's, one flipped over during landing while we were there.

good news, but saying only 4% of Chinese tourists still have covid on departure doesn't tell us anything about infection rates for arrivals

That stupid yellow overlay "subscribe to our newsletter" can't be closed on my Android tablet. Making the site unusable on that device, because all I see is that overlay and site is hidden under it. ????
just how many times do you have to say no to this? It should be a one time only thing subscribe or don't

Yes yes, but how many "high quality" tourists they keep going on about?

I saw a young Russian Cpl with at least 6 cases in Patong. In my opinion most of these Russians are Pdd.s " Putins draft dodgers "
Thought all service age men weren’t allowed to leave?, assumed all the Russian arrivals were much older

Thai baht is doing all the hard work, making exports too difficult and too expensive.
suspect most foreigners are fed up with Thai rules, flip-flops and u-turns as well- 1

900 million cases of COVID in China. Some provinces have a 91% infection rate. Any big rise in Chinese tourists will inevitably lead to an increase in infections here.

Ha ha! God almighty you lot are desperate! You all keep grasping to whatever stupid facts you can and string them together like you actually understand anything at all.
you almodt never get the virus expelled on its own, it’s almost always contained in water droplets.
Masks work, it has been proven time and again. Don’t want to believe it fine, but stop telling others lies and bs- 2

The KF94 masks that are 10bt for 10 are sold everywhere and very common. KF94 is the Korean version of N95 but 94% effective
surgical masks do not do much but still stop transmission by stopping particles being expelled in coughs etc

Largest COVID virus size = 500nm
Mask gap size = 55,000nm
"A recent trial in Bangladesh found that people issued with surgical masks were 11% less likely to be infected with Covid-19. The results suggested cloth masks also reduce risk but the results were not statistically significant."
https://fullfact.org/health/face-masks-covid-holes/
That's an 11% reduction in transmission if everyone wears a surgical mask.
So the question is, would you buy an insurance policy that only paid out on 11% of claims?
Dear god, why are people like you still trying to convince others that masks don’t work?
you need to be banned for good for spouting this BS.The N94 masks most people wear in Thailand and else where do exactly what they say, stop 94% of particles up to 500nm and 99.5% of those up to 750nm.

None of the vaccines prevented transmission anyway.
Vaccines prevent transmission by about 80%.

China is having the mother of all covid outbreaks because they only relied on Chinese vaccines like Sinovac, this though is enough for entry into Thailand.
Airlines will now have to quickly roll back to COVID measures including mandatory masks on flights.
Anutin is not competent to be in charge of any of this.
