It seems UK embassies can't offer a letter or stamp a form to this effect.... the only option seems to go through ACRO in the UK - cost is about £50 and looks like delivery could take a while. The application is also a long one.
Are there any other quicker options for proving I have no criminal record?

Completely agree

I prefer cream rather than oil (or neither - just basic massage) because I find it takes too much time and effort to wash all the oil off.
Ultimately personal choice.
There's definitely an urgent need to go for a shower which you don't have after Thai massage

She actually does use a little oil and does target the little knots as well. I'm not sure what they are. I guess it may be lactic acid buildup?
I think the knots are just knots of muscle tissue? IMO having a massage a day isn't an issue. But obviously it isn't a complete replacement for exercise. The Thai massage is great for keeping you as supple and stretched as possible...
But as we know, a lot comes down to the skill of your masseuse. My current massage lady is like a whirlwind and her work rate means she can get through about 3 times the activity of a slow massage lady within one hour.

The oil massage may feel more relaxing, but it also has benefits such as targeting the little knots in your back and around your body, making it easier for your masseuse to run her hands over your skin and find the tough spots.
The Thai massage is more a a rigurous massage and a great stretch, improving your flexibility and virtually giving your body a 'work out'.
Both have their health benefits, and both have their place IMO...
OP - nothing to stop you doing oil and Thai massage on alternate days. This can work well

No need!
However, this visit I have noticed that there are a few of them spending good money in the bars and restaurants of Patong rather than haggling over the price of a coke in the 7-11 (I've seen it!) and then sharing it.
Why wouldn't you name them? I think I know which country you are referring to

I like to see the Russians in Thailand. They come as a family unit with a husband and wife including small children. The wife often wears a dress with nice dress shoes on. To me this is much better than seeing hordes of men in packs from another unnamed country that are also visiting Thailand.
Name the unnamed country

Before COVID I did fly to KL from Samui and back.
I don't think there is a direct flight anymore. Ditto for Surat Thani

For a male.. perfectly safe if you’re not a tool.
Using grab makes it as near as perfectly safe as can be.
Its slightly different for a lone female - my Wife would never take a taxi alone at night (her excuse for drink driving before we met - many females think the same way about taxis at night).
Grab has somewhat changed the landscape.
Cheap, reliable, hassle free, grab has definitely changed the landscape on Bangkok. The cars are usually nice and comfortable too

A friend is coming to Thailand on a tourist visa, and plans to extend after 60 days by another 30.
If he gets asked for onward flight, can that be after the 60 and before the 90 day mark? Or must be within 60?
I explained to him that he could probably buy a cheap flight ticket to 'burn' if needs be

Surprised it being the first time. In the US a lot of fentanyl comes in the US Mail from China. Thailand is much closer to China ... maybe it is too expensive for Thailand.
I think there's definately been some around, whether it's been found or not. And worryingly its sold as cocaine.

Remember him sitting right where he is on that photo. At the end of the pier. Just entertaining the backpackers waiting for their boats.

Amoxicillin supposedly stops bacteria getting to the heart, where it 'could' cause problems.
Why have four out in one sitting? Too traumatic! If you had pulled them yourself one at a time - with a gap of two weeks between - it would have been much kinder to the mouth and your body in general.
Tbh Owl it's a week later and I feel fine.

Dark circles would result from inadequate/disturbed sleep as would the drowsiness. Some antibiotics, especially quinolones, have that effect in some people.

I'm not sure at this precise moment in time, but plan to stay on here for the next 12 months or so.
Everyone is still welcome of course, but sometimes in life, circumstances change that we have no control over.
So if we turn up in a few months and see a Man City scoopy parked in the drive way, we know you've taken the oil money.

It is unusual for an antibiotic to cause drowsiness unless secondary to disturbed sleep.
Are dark circles normal?
Before having the tooth extractions I was on holiday and drinking for about 10 days, that's why I'm thinking the antibiotics may not be good for my liver.....
-
I recently had 4 wisdom teeth out, and in the Thai tradition was offered a doggy bag of drugs to take home.... these included antibiotics, which I'm not sure are fully necessary....
Should I finish the course even though they were given as a protective measure?
They don't usually affect me too much, but with these I feel really drowsy and have dark circles under my eyes. Anyone else experienced this?
-
^^^... Was that a good price? My flight out was booked for the following day so by the time I'd had the consultation and been quoted it seemed easier to just get it done.
-
I paid 16k baht for all 4 wisdom teeth out, including x-ray and medication.

Because it's the World Cup. And they have a lot of money. And time.

If you go to Robin Hood Tavern, at the Avenue Mall on 2nd Rd, you can have tinned or fresh tomatoes. They have a tick menu so you can build your own brekkie. It is quite expensive but is of a decent quality.
The black pudding tasted like the Bury variety, not to my taste really. The fresh mushrooms turned out to be tinned, so best avoided. Bacon and sausage were first class.
Expect to pay around 400 Baht, more or less, depending on your appetite.
Already left mate was just there couple of days. Intended to give you a shout but had already been on the sauce in Koh Chang for 4 days and wasn't really with it!
