For retirement visa. Thai law says you must prove you have have 800kbaht in bank, and for set time prior and after visa being granted. Or alternatively prove you have a monthly minimum of 65kbaht coming in every month. So is it now 65k before tax or after tax? It follows that if 65k is min it should be the starting threshold for expat retirees, No?
.
I got rid of one by putting one of those small jump start batteries set to strobe up in the loft, hung on a wire dropper. Just left it up there for 2,3 days/nights, obviously took it down and charged it a couple of times. Never come back, as yet.
All confusion, one of the ways of getting a year visa for retirement is to show you have brought a minimum 65,000 baht in each month. This then must be the threshold before tax. They cannot insist you bring in money so that they can collect tax, when they say this is a rule for you stay!!!
I used to use or joint account, way in the past, but was then informed if I wanted to continue we would have to show DOUBLE the amount i.e. retirement was 1,600,000 baht!!!
Needless to say I opened an account in my name only.
I have also had PAD, after scan, showed one of the tow arteries just above knee area was clogged up, had a bypass done with vein from other leg, and it solved the problem. Suggest you have a scan.
