  1. I did mean visa on entry, to which I thought it had been stopped until 30 th sept but that might change 1 October…. thanks for responding
  2. I am currently investigating the options for a friend in the UK 1) can you get a VOE on entry after the 1 October ?? When arriving in Thailand 2) do you have to obtain a tourist visa from the London embassy before applying for a COE ? 3) what is required to satisfy a VOE entry as far as quarantine goes i have looked but to me it is not clear any help would be appreciated regards
  3. I have been looking at filling in the T8 and Declaration form to enter the Phuket Sandbox. My concern is what happens if I complete these documents stating that I have had a sore throat , What is the impact ?. Been to the Doctor who said it was a virus infection, took 3 antigen tests for covid all negative and will have the fit to fly PCR test tomorrow Should I fill the form in honestly or be a little bit slow coming forward with the truth ?? it states 10 days prior , with the PCR test done 72 hours before flying , surely filling in the form completely honestly would have no impact - but it is Thailand Thoughts/Experience/ Comments much appreciated
  4. For all those That have gone through the process - I was hoping somebody could confirm the following :- 1) The 72 hours is before flight departure and not landing at Phuket ? My issue is I would require the following 1 - 23rd before Midday - take PCR test which is dated 23rd Midday , to get results by the 24th 2) 25th travel to Heathrow (flight 12.00) 3) 26th Land in Phuket 06:00 If it was at Phuket landing - I would only have 6 hours to spare , before the 72 hours expires , which is cutting short if there are delays Thoughts , opinions experience ..............would be much appreciated regards
  5. For Coe phuket sandbox I had to pay for PCR test x3 For my Thai wife as part of her application - which I sent currently awaiting approval
  6. Thanks for the quick response I will try the 30 day policy tomorrow and see how that goes !!!! regards
  7. Just submitted my wife's application for COE entry to phuket Sandbox and I received the following message Royal Thai Embassy, London has rejected your registration/application. Due to Please use the yellow button to upload Attachment, for photo of medical insurance policy (in English) which expressly covers treatment and medical expenses in relation to COVID-19, with minimum coverage of 100,000 USD. The insurance must cover the total duration of stay in Thailand. Not sure really what to do here as it states the total duration and everything over 90 days is mega expensive. - I will probably have a look tomorrow , but was thinking of getting 90 days. I had not booked any return flight as I would probably fly on a different airline on the way back to the UK Therefore has anybody got any ideas or thoughts on this - or know of cheap covid insurance for Thai's regards
  8. Thanks for that Joe. I looked outside the website at the swaadee insurance for 90 days from Axa..........interestingly if you do 90 days its about 7k bhat - if you put in 91 it goes straight up to 14k bhat - hence I will be going for the 90 day option - should cover me till xmas !!!
  9. Ubonjoe - first !! yes my re -entry permit only last until the 8th October , Therefore I was going to insure myself for that period. However I went into the link supplied by the thai government for covid insurance , input my information for 30 days insurance , stating I was a Non-0 visa (retirement) and then then passed me onto another site which was looking at long term o-a visa's. Therefore it was suggesting I would need to get some long term insurance. Emeraldisle I to was looking at this - Book a hotel which I can cancel 1 week before I fly , however it seems that you have to buy covid insurance , with no guarantee you will get a COE. Also you can not submit a COE until 30 days before estimated departure date. I am going to wait for stage one to go through for the COE and then buy the plane ticket If not let the COE application time out and start again regards
  10. Thanks for your input (both of you) There is a COVID section to upload documents for proof in the Thai Nationals section of the Application. I was going to get a months insurance , the same as myself as my multi entry visa ends on the 15th of October and I am hopefully returning to Thailand the 26th September With the expense of the whole process anyway a 100 quid more - will probably go unnoticed regards Richard
  11. I am currently trying to progress through the application process for COE for myself and my Wife (who is Thai) Firstly I come to the section about the upload of the vaccination certificates which require passport Number - is this required , I see where some people have stated that they just edited the pdf file if so what did they add ?? The actual document from the UK NHS does not use your full name either . Should you have to edit the original form Second - I thought I could get the Covid insurance after I have got authorisation from the Thai Embassy for COE - however I see I have to upload the proof of insurance at the time of completing the application Am i interpretating this correct Third - I was going to obtain covid insurance for 1 month for me as my visa is only valid until the 15th October, However what period would I give for my wife as she does not have a visa duration length and I was not going to obtain a return flight ticket just one-way any thoughts views would be much appreciated
  12. I am currently looking at Hotels - but with the options they all have varying reviews Does anybody have experience and point me in the direction of 1) decent Hotel 2) manage the Covid situation and PCR tests well 3) in patong - reasonably near shops and beach 4) with good Wifi ( I see a lot of review state poor wifi in alot of the hotels your help would be much appreciated regards
  13. I am currently looking to go to the Phuket Sandbox before travelling to my house in Thailand I have been browsing websites but for some reason found limited options I was wondering what the best process is for satisfying COE requirements as far as PCR Covid test go 1) Do I have to book these 2) are there hotels that can book the tests as part of your reservation 3) do you have to travel to the PCR facilities - and pay for the travel 4) can anybody recommend or send me a link of where I can get the cheapest available PCR tests any info about this process would be much appreciated
  14. From the threads and as I am going to start the COE process in the next few days . I should be getting the following :- 1) 14 days covid cover for my Thai Wife 2) and cover for my existing visa extention/re-entry permit which expire 15th October - Though probably I will just purchase 30 days However would I be better for me to incorporate my Covid 19 cover with a holiday insurance, as I intend to return to the UK in May 2022 to cover myself for the rest of the period in Thailand . View ? recommendations ?? Companies who supply such an insurance ?? All info would be much appreciated regards
