If only they had real inspection procedures before/during and after the meat processing . My local family run abattoir takes in pigs from local farms, kills them by blunt trauma to the head, bleeds them out, processes them, loaded into the back of a pick-up truck and driven off to a local market, They further break down the two halves into joints etc and sold directly to the public the same day. NO inspection procedures at all.

Which in my neck of the woods are largely ignored until the train is within sight, so many people dodge around or even under the barriers when they are down.

I wonder over what time scale this happened...

One easy solution is to make property owners responsible for activities in their rented premises. They should be mandated to make/or have a weekly inspection to make sure of no illegal activities. And to make sure inspections are carried out, if any property is found to be operating illegal activities the owner will face a mandatory prison sentence. 90% of this would stop overnight as without a residence they cannot operate.

Has been going on there for years, any foreigner is a target... I was taken there by Thai friends about 10 years ago, the boat operator wanted 500 baht per head for a 10 minute ride.. 6 people in the boat !!!!! The canal side market is also a trap for over-pricing, never returned even though it's only 45 minutes away

Blame everything else except yourselves, the constant fights, drugs, drunkenness, taxi rip-offs, safety, the list is endless. Clean up your own mess before blaming the decline on others.

They like to blame everything and everyone except themselves... Thailand is fast becoming the place to avoid
