    Buy what you want to decrease the trade surplus... the tariff is a different issues that you still have to address. Drop your tariffs or the 37% on Thai imports to USA stands.

    Drag their feet for months and when everyone's forgotten about it.. don't mention it again. Chinese guys caught removing paperwork from the site means things have to hidden.. dodgy dealings, short-cuts, material cost cutting, things signed off that shouldn't be etc etc..

    Tourists don't care much about the earthquake, you're more likely to die on the roads or drown in boat accident.

    They are always going to talk it up to get others believing it and spend more... they're certainly not going to say it's going to be a sh#t-show this year.

    So smiles all round then, and as expenditure is high during the Songkran week expect less spending at the end of the month when many locals are flat out broke.

    Now they need to test all the concrete for it's integrity.

    It will eventually pass, as the government will push it through. Developers will get rich building them, investors will get rich later and the elites will enjoy using the facilities. The rest of the country will continue to do what it always does... survive
