I remember watching a YouTube documentary on these practices carried out by a large family owned conglomerate..... Tearing up mangrove forests to dig new ponds, overstocking ponds so much that they became polluted and infectious, using all manner of chemicals to keep everything dead except the prawns. Then after harvesting dumping the water into local waterways, killing anything in it's path, depreciating local fishermens livelihoods. Rather revealing.
