After a month or two I suspect many of those who returned to no work in Thailand will wish they relocated in Israel the same and still have an income. As it is they will still owe money to agents for going out their, and now expenses to be brought back. Then they will have to find money to go elsewhere...

If Thais weren't so addicted to sugar there wouldn't be an issue. People would just stop using it, driving the price back down. But hey, Thais need their fix every day.

Could have been worse... I remember many years ago a "dark-skinned" player joined a certain London team... when he came on the turf the apposing fans would throw bananas onto the pitch.

His mistake was confronting someone and challenging them verbally... zip-it and walk away. Simple life rule.. works for any country

Outside of Europe is a big place... Thailand top destination I find hard to believe? Maybe with numbers or something, but not on location, diversity, sustainability, or safety.

So as it stands... many of my Thai friends go out at 10pm find something to eat then go to a bar and finish 2am at closing now they will go out closer to midnight then find a bar until possibly 2am-3am as most have education or work in the morning.... tourists will like the extension for flexibility, but that doesn't always equate to more spending.. they just adjust their hours.

Almost every family I know are in debt to some degree or another. They are cutting back in every way they can, either daily consumables, luxuries, clothing general expenditure, travel etc etc. Knocking out another child is unthinkable...

That's only the pay-out.. I was talking about the billions to set-up committees, having un-told numbers of meetings, , then set-up and carry-out the pay-out. Those are costs to the government.
