I am making some vodka infusions and want to buy some coffee filter paper to strain when finished. Looked in Tops and Tesco so far, but no luck. Will try Big C today, but after that I'm stuck.
TIA
I bought filtercoffee at tesco Lamai an hour ago. There was paper filter for sale.

I must admit I noticed it too. Chang used to be distinctive and had a particular taste and it seemed at some point to become somewhat boring.
I just had to scroll back to original message to confirm the year this was posted.

"Initially, tourists allowed to visit Koh Samui will come from five pilot countries -- New Zealand, Australia, Germany, China (some cities), and Vietnam. "... no they won't. No government is going to risk additional Covid cases just so people can take a holiday in Thailand.
They just don't get it. The problem isn't just people coming here, it's when they try to go home again.
You can run but you can`t hide.... Thailand only delay the fullblown outbreak of covid-19 and its working well aslong they keep the rest of the world away from the kingdom.
Absolutely ruin the economy of the kingdom and Thai citizen or just stop hiding? Its about time for the junta to make THE call!!

Anyone know if having a Thai IP address affects pricing? I got the web-promo fare, but it's still 3500b one-way BKK-USM (not 1890 as posted above). May be my selected date of Jan 28. Thanks everyone
Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app
Yes you need to log on from a Thai IP to reach the promolink. Other IP addresses then from Thailand will result in a faultmessage.

In Lamai the goverment water is switched on for a few h each second day. Been like this for the last 3+ weeks. Preasure is superlow so you need to find a low laying outsource. No water in the sinktaps but the hose for a**spray works when remove the nozzle. Then fill up all the buckets you can untill its shut down . Yes its bad but atleast we have water.
Bad thing is that i heard that watersuply might be permantly shut until rain comes.

I find this really odd... all the places shut down the music at 2am sharp yet there is one "club" in Lamai that cannot be named that goes on full blast in the middle of the main stream till 4(?)am. How is this possible?
Do you mean this "Club" ?
Or this one Per. Also went down very incognito...
What once was an outstanding good House Music club – lot's of fun hours there, and later also long gone Super Sub round the corner till 5am – also lots of girls, both places...
Sorry for the mess. Not a frekvent poster here. My bad

Oh i like most Westerners, Asians and Thais here on the island but ignorant stupid people whatever colour is just timewasters. Do your thing but dont push others to like and smear your often greasy fat face. Thanks and over and out for this tread. Cheers

Bla bla bla people got to make a living Bla bla bla 330 baht is the price for a beer in Bkk. I tell you hobgoblins that you are way lost!! Its people like you who Koh Samui dont need and that Thai locals despies. Sitting home in your cheap concrete rentalapartment, sipping coke mixed with cheap bag in box wine from skippyland and do internetforum trying to be smart and dictate others is all you can do. Pfff You have no idea of the price explosion. Its so pretty ugly obvious (Cant erase from my drunken mind the farangguy living here 50-90 y + or so and can not pass a taxi without getting spanked and next claim its common to pay 320bt for a beer in thailand ) I like Thaivisa as a news forum but the samui part has never worked. Was a time when a lady from neighbour island run the show. Was ok at that time. Now its mostly ppl who are in bad mood defending overpricing and not willing to pay a proper salary to the staff who collecting the check at the poor stupid donkey western overpriced rented premises. I dont blame landlord i blame all those bigtime stupid gready tenders who dont do their math. Its not a new problem its been like this always. New stupid westerners are in rows. My regular waterhole during day in lamai have crossed some non exposed limit for what iam willing to pay for a smal beer chang. I am fully aware what they charge nowdays at other places around the kingdom so its oftopic. Is it really ok to charge a first increase 240 bt then 480 bt and now 720 bt increase of profit from a case of beer chang on lamai beachroad during day? Beer chang is weeker and smaller and has not due to this fact and tax paid acc to alkohol% not become much more expensive since it was sold 40 bt/btl. Keep the prices on acceptable limit or this tiny strip of samui will go even faster downhill. Selling a meal and 1 overpriced bottle is something else and is not on my agenda. Cheers

Thanks for the reply guys! Got to plan for a short night in MY if i go for this option. By chance; does anybody know if there are a "timestamp" in the thai immigration computers or if they only go for the date stamped in the passport? My saying is its the date stamped only. Out late PM and in early AM should be ok!?!

Hi all,
Abt this time last year i had hard time to get back into Thailand and my waiting taxi. Was told i had to spend the night in Malysia by the TH immigrationofficer and it was not until i had a chat with his supervisor i was let back into Thailand and my waiting taxi again. This was Sadao(Danok).
How is it today? Can i leave my things in the HTL in Had Yai and go to do my 15 minutes walking TH-MY-MY-TH and expect to have no arguments with TH immigrationofficer abt time spent outside Thailand?
Is Padang border more relaxed or was the last year event at Sadao just a touch of the visaclampdown that was so much talked about at that time?
My purpose is to activate the second and final part of my double entry touristvisa. No overstay or other problems.
Cheers Mr Lamai

Many not so funny stray dogs here. RTP is pretty much more effektive then just handing speedtickets like European police tend sticking to. Just becouse they dont come to fingerprint for evidence when someone stole your barcondom does not mean they dont care about solving crimes.

The ferry is in wrong position. Heck, there are atleast 2 AB´s looking but not seeing the landramp is barely touching the ferry superstructure. Totaly human error. The lorrydriver have all the rights to be upset. Cheers from Mr bosun Lamai

Mr lamai post # 29.
To much blah blah in this case. <deleted>, the police nor do u judge!! The police have enough (produced or not) evidence to bring em to trial. The case is now at the right instance. The court will do the rest, AND they will look into both prosecutors and defendants points of view.
Cheers from rainy Mui
So why did you stir the pot then? Perhaps you should take your own advice.
What pot do i stir!? I say let the court do the math!!! Even in Thailand its the court ruling and not the police or some posters on a forum trying to be detectives posting eachothers faulty posts to make statements.

I had a very good meal at the Lamai Veggie a few weeks ago. Will defenately go there again when back in 8-10 weeks from now.
Not sure if here is so many vegetarians on this forum but its worth a try :-)
-
Comes and goes, is this the first time you have had it?
In Thailand - yes. Not particularly worried about myself (though coughing with a broken rib isn't my idea of fun), just wondering if there's an epidemic of some kind. I got it from my flatmate who started sneezing a day before me, and he says "everyone" is coughing. I can't go out to see for myself if it's true...
I get it 2-3 times a year and it generally lasts only a few days though the cough lasts longer. I've been out and about the last few days (busier than a Syrian bricklayer) and nobody I've met in Lamai has it at present. Other times every **** and his mother has it within days of each other.
Its very very widespread in Lamai !! Same symtoms as described, me included. 3-5 days and most seams to be back in form. Cheers

Those pretty chaps would surley felt relived when their flight took off from Changi. Getting cought on USM from SIN with bags loaded with drugs was a superbig nono if they were not set up. My saying!
2 Btls of lao khao is always better then a fraction of ilegal drug in SEA.
