  1. The only injections he'll be getting inside will be from his fellow inmates organs.

Shame about that as he may enjoy Somchai boning him. Scumbag drug dealer.

He will have a flood of horse in the jail(if he end up there) BTW its only in the US,North Korea and Iran its accepted that prisoners getting raped while doing their sentence.

  2. Koh samui is in a very poor state. How can people even argue against this statement? I have lived here many years and yes i cope with it, its fine with me. But anyway its basicly a lawless place as long as drugs are not involved. The soil is so wasted that the event of drinking tapwater will probaly happen earlier in Calcutta. Roadmaintanace is a nono, its not lack of labours(mostly southern ppl in their best years :-) ) but lack of funds from Bangkok. The human sweepers do a great job but they have no concrete, tools or money to fix the potholes they see daily. No disrespect to the ambulance service but it seams only to be run by the hospitals on the island. No buses, no big sportarena that can host large event in a safe way and i have to say that covering up tragic events happening on or regarding the island is not good

I dont write this to complain as i said earlier just to say that samui needs a wake up call. A big one or this is ending no good for so many people relying on the tourist flow.

Chao samui people are very proud people. Its not an easy task!

    Cheers

  3. IMO the gold package is a total rip off and no where near the value of 1,700 baht per month when cable is less than that per yr and shows more sports such as the big fights, and league matches i.e. worlkd cup, euro nationals and all the soccer you can handle. dvds are so cheap it is easier to buy the movies you want rather than follow HBO etc...but that is just my opinion.

Cabel is 449 bt/month and shows nothing more then thaitv, thaitv, thaitv, german fotball, foxnews, fashiontv and other crap thats provided for free in other nations. What i pay for is quality. Premier league, all mayor cups, atp with the big 4.s many many good chanels with blockbuster movies, nat geo, discovery. I been subscribing to Samuicabeltv since it was launced 7-8 years ago and seen the rape. I said in the beginning that i been considering cancel for a long time and now its done. 1750 Bt is just a few drinks out or more beers in the 7eleven bar but hey no problem.Cheers

  4. True visions Tesco Chaweng get the gold package with HD will cost around 1,900 per month make sure you get the HD as all the previews sports are in English if you do not get the HD then at half time you end up listening to Thais waffling on or you can get Astra from Malaysia but trouble is you have to pay a year up front !!!!

I did sign up for gold HD earlier today. Free installation(2200Bt for the box and dish as guarntee ) and 17XX bt per mounth for the programs. Astro from Malysia is popular among the bars showing fotball but had no clue how or where to sign up. Big LOL to the fellow comparing Samui cabel to True laugh.png . Thanks folksthumbsup.gif

  5. What a joke! They been here they went away they came back as an exclusive beer and nobody bought it. Now what? They coming back again. I seriously doubt they will be able to take any shares here even if they are huge elsewhere. Nowdays we enjoy the good and cheap Chang or Leo. Girls of today dont know anything exept for heiniken. There are no market segment for Carsberg. One time big in Thailand as kloster was long time ago. Nope sorry waste of money but ok they can afford. Cheers

  7. Not all green lasers are equal. Some are not very powerful at all, but the touts will tell you otherwise.

Well neither do i or media talk about the red dot or heart for instance that the 250 baht laser produced on a wall 50 m away,10 years or so ago. Any tout worth walking in samui show what they are selling. And i asume those are the one western media talk about.

  8. Now on the beach, sipping beers on this lovely evening. Well well could not resist to browse the latest swedish news and again those reports coming about planes beeing pointed @ by green laser and and couse temporary blindness OR nearly make the pilots go blind... Here on samui these lasers are beeing sold everywhere but i have never heard or read that they post a threat to carriers about to land a min or so later. Western problem or are we soon have a crash coused by a laserpointer that made the cokpitcrew blinded as reported in western media?

  9. I just run them off the road.

You might try that with the foreigners, but not with a Thai male. . .

There is another thread on this with many posts somewhere.

The fact is that it was poorly thought out in the first place since if you observe the rule, you end up having to get back on the ring road and make a big circle if you passed the place you wanted to stop.

The rule was only occasionally enforced some years ago and the signs are just vestiges of a plan that has been abandoned. They should be removed, but that would entail someone actually doing work, so they remain.

Anyone who advocates the one-way system does not spend much time in Lamai. If you are at MacDonald's, for example, and wanted to go to have a massage near the river bridge, you'd have to drive away from the bridge, turn right at Outback and drive up to the ring road, turn right again watching out for the nearly blind curve of speeding, oncoming traffic, go past Wat Lamai and cut into the road by the market (or take the backroad that ends up right on the bridge). Time consuming, lengthy and puts you out in more dangerous driving situations (and at higher speed) than you would face with a two-way beach road.

Instead of getting angry, or being aggressive to other drivers (junior vigilante traffic cops), just go with the flow and be thankful you don't have to drive all around the place.

As for crazy drivers and drunks, you certainly can't point to the Lamai beach road as causing or exacerbating this; the craziness is everywhere...

Agree fully and i have never heard any Thais complaining! 1 way for cars and 2 ways for bikes. This is Thailand and it works...

  10. Not much people at all and even the bargals have fleed the island. I do feel pity for the investors but i also bear in mind that its the investor who makes the choise to cash up.

A family of 2+2 who buy the full package of flights and hotel nights will simply not pay the 6-700€ surcharge compaired to other destinations in Thailand. The companies in Europe knows this and they promote Phuket and Krabi where its "cheap" to ship their customers.

Unless Bangkokair drasticly (and i think they will dorolleyes.gif ) reduce their pricepolicy then Koh samui will turn to a ghostisland with many empty shady concrete buildings and just a few leftover lads hanging around the 3 7-eleven shops left,1 in chaweng and 2 in lamai, looking for cheap beer.

Good post. The flights are near full....but usually you can't get one at all by now.

5-6 fewer daily bkk-usm-bkk flights than previous year. Mid dec you could book a seat on EACH flight the next day and when i checked around 6pm you could go to bkk on 3 flights and to samui on 2 flights that evening. Big lol at your comedian post.

    Happy holliday lifeguardbunny

Edit 1307 Dec 24 Tomorrow there are seats avaible on 10 flights bkk-usm best price 3690bt on 7 am flight

I'm not sure why you describe it as a comedian post but I can tell you that all of the places are quieter this year. Folks just don't have the money for expensive trips to SEA at the moment.

As said before usually you have to wait a week for a plane at this time of year...not now on any route.

Sorry i missread your post.jap.gif All good mate

  13. TOURISM & Lack thereof reasons.

    1) Flooding

    2) World Economy is in the pits

    3) Strong Thai baht vs. Euro/Pound/Dollar

    4) Every growing number of websites that tell about tuk-tuk, taxi mafia scams, robberies/beatings of foreigners of no one ever arrested.

    5) Totally corrupt police, who really have no right to even call themselves that.

Now FYI. Wife has a friend who works for Tourism Dept. Here's how they count.

    1) Everyone who passes through Customs at Swampy, or any other airport, with a foreign passport, even though they are merely IN TRANSIT, is counted.

    2) Every border runner is counted every time he comes back in.

    3) Weekends there are buses from Malaysia who bring Malaysians to LOS for a day of shopping. They all get counted.

    Talk about "manipulation of numbers".

    :whistling:

As for Thai Airways? Overpriced, lousy service, out of date planes.

And add in- arrogant and bordering on rude hostesses who wrongly presume every male is slavering over their amazing beauty.:bah:

You guys must have just been dumped/cheated on by your Thai girlfriends when you boarded those Thai airways flights back to Farang-ville. Economy class in Thai airways has always provided me with exceptional customer service.

Well i guess u not scandinavian :whistling:

  14. I am stuck offshore working and have just been told by gf that the devastion in lamaibeach area is HUGE!?! Our shophouse have been flooded on the groundfloor!! 2005 and last Nov when it rained we had a strong current outside on our road(deep perhaps 25-40cm) but the water need to raise another 60-80 cm to enter our appartment.

Now as i said we are flooded but i also hear her say that motorbikes have been flushed to sea!!! All convinientstores are closed, freshwater can not be bought or delivered.Electric been away 48 h+.Calling a mobile in lamai just result your call to be forwarded to the answeringmachine, banks and ATM are down and i seen the pictures from chaweng beach rd of the height of the water.

I am normaly calm person(my gf is not that cool....)

How bad is it in fact?? And please, state what area of Mui you report from.

    Regards AB Seaman

  15. Hi,

1000 baht is good enough if you hit the bars without a date. Go for beers and avoid the drinklist since the drink will cost you a beer and ca 100 baht more. You want longdrinks in the bar and perhaps buy a few ladydrinks then better have 2500-3000 Thb in your pocket when heading out. Very good "drinkingfreedom" and perhaps pay bf and have some leftover next morning for the chick then you should have no less then 6000 Baht when u start the crusade... Good luck mate.
