  1. I think the people who are really upset are getting taxed/regulated into oblivion or they live in a city where the government is replacing the population with Indians, Arabs, Africans etc... so they feel alienated and defeated or are experiencing crime. If you can afford all the taxes etc.. and still live in an English area then it's ok probably (except for the weather). Just my experiencing listening to them but I've never been myself.
  2. It used to be extremely rare to see expat families with kids and now when I'm in CM if I go to any overpriced farang food or one of the shopping malls I will see them. What are they doing here I wonder. They look like middle class people with and often have large families. Chiang Mai has changed widely over the last 20 years but job options are still not great. If the mom and dad were both teachers I think they would struggle to live the middle class life in Thailand and raise their 2,3,3,4 kids.
  3. Whoever is above the police need impose a 5000 baht fine on police not enforcing the laws or nothing will happen anyways. One more law on a stack of useless paper.
  4. I hope fake cops start robbing some Indians so they get scared and stop coming too. 🤞
  5. It's all so tiresome with the fake propaganda media. Every time it floods or gets a little warm it's global climate catastrophe and now every year when the flu goes around it's COVID fear mongering. They've been doing the climate scam for 30 years with no signs up letting up so I expect the same for COVID now.
  6. Cool I didn't know you could ask AI questions like that. That's what I was looking for and correct answer. I couldn't find the words myself.
  7. it's like "if it was like this..." For example: "Tha samut wah" I go to the store first then come back to get you later would that be ok? like "consider this option" then you give the option or explain the possible scenario.
  8. CC on YouTube works with Thai too. I found some channels on YouTube with Thai women who moved on abroad and share stories. It's like the Thailand expat circles but inverted 180 degrees. 🙂 This woman speaks very clearly and is entertaining. If you don't understand turn on CC or ask a Thai person. It's mostly all basic vocab anyone should know. Another one I like is this guy because it's DIY building content and educational in a very practical way. If you needed to do building work you could learn all the words you needed here.
  9. Search for any Thai text to read and when you hit the first word you don't know then learn it. That's a really good filter. Scan through Thai peoples facebook is good for common words but it's also quite hard because of all the slang and expressions they use, and honestly you probably won't be speaking that naturally. News sites are another good source if you keep away from politics which have government agency names etc... which you don't really need. If you can't read then you should do that first before anything else. Then you can try some social media content like YouTube and when you hear a word you don't understand ask a Thai person what it means or if you can manage to spell it then you can search yourself. I'm not nearly good enough to spell out Thai words I hear so I would ask my wife.
  10. This is the correct answer. You feel stuck? Then go try to watch something Thai on YouTube. Do you not understand it? Great, now you have something to work on.
  11. Neither but I'd choose Mexicans still. Their numbers are drying up so they're now targeting Indias 1.4B people. It's a horrific bio weapon being unleashed upon Americans.
  12. That has nothing to do with what I posted. Also when counting Mexican you need to include their anchor babies over decades now. It's 10's of millions of people.
  13. See the Mexican president up in arms about the remittances tax? The Mexican elite know full well their exporting their underclass to America and extracting money out of the country while moving their problems to become Americans.
  14. I'm well aware not everyone wants some random foreigner showing up in their area so I go to extra lengths to be a good member of the community and integrate as well I can. This is extremely important to me in Thailand.
  15. The people coming to the US illegally are the original native population of Mexico while the people protesting are likely the Spanish. The Americans are most likely going in to the white parts of Mexican cities and disrupting them. Makes the whole calculation more complicated because honestly the mostly Spanish Mexicans are not the ones causing upsets in the US.
