Blacks are also extremely ethnocentric. They will 100% vote for other black candidates based on race. Not saying this is wrong, honestly they're more likely to understand each other and do what they need for each other. Yet another reason why multiracial societies devolve in conflict and voting becomes an ethnic head count. Only white people don't follow this rule and will explicitly vote for a person of another race. How many times have you seen them cheering for the "the first black xxx" or whatever.

The OP can go the "soft power" route and sign up a cooking class provided he has the 500k baht in his bank but I see this like you. Is immigration really going to let people come in and out of the country for multiple years just because they signed up for a cooking class? I would expect to get questioned eventually. There's no reason they wouldn't give the full 5 year term to a remote worker but for those other categories it's hard to say.

Hogwash. Smiles abound for me. Are you smiling back at people or walking around with a scowl? I get befuddled looks sometimes by people (usually older people) but everyone smiles back if you smile or acknowledge them. To be fair though very rarely I could get a look by a person like they don't want you there. Honestly I don't blame them, some people probably don't like random foreigners in their area that they don't know.
