  1. "individuals who are not suitable for travel"? What does this mean exactly? I'm an American and I would consider it a violation of my rights if the government decided where I could and could not go based on their own subjection opinion. I would expect this from North Korea but from Europe??
  2. Instead of passing even more useless laws how about importing police from countries that actually care about road safety? clearly the Thai's are not up for the job.
  3. The best joke I've heard in a while. Nice one.
  4. I'm flying from USA tomorrow and I saw my airline United says there are COVID 19 restrictions to enter the country. I already applied for my visa online and they didn't ask for anything COVID related but do I still need to show a negative test or proof of vaccination? I thought they ended all of this on July 1st but maybe I missed some detail. Thanks. EDIT: my vaccination card was from 13 months ago. Do they still accept this? EDIT 2: from https://www.thaiembassy.com/weekly-updates/thailand-pass-not-required-starting-july-1-temporary-suspension-of-tm6-card: I assume this means since my vaccination card is 13 months ago I'll be subject to failing a random test and get tested at the airport?
  5. I'm looking around at land prices in Chiang Mai (outside the city in the NE parts) and there are plots up for sale everywhere but the prices are surprisingly high, at least 1 million per Rai. Not talking about in the city off big roads, just random plots around where I live. Do people who know the land market know if these prices are normal or is there something happening right now? For comparison here is 1.6 Rai in Columbia SC for $11,00 USD. A fraction of what you would pay in Chiang Mai. Not sure if these are comparable but still, the US land is much cheaper so it makes me wonder what's going on here. Is it really possible you can buy land in the US cheaper than in Chiang Mai?
