  1. Thanks to every one. I will be buying a return, but I want to come back to Portugal next April. So Lisbon to Bangkok: c mid-July 2023. Bangkok to Lisbon: mid April 2024. My retirement visa will be renewed at the end of February, 2024. I think I'm going to check with Emirates in Lisbon as the Portuguese see everything in black and white terms. Regards to all, Nick
  2. I rememer the late Darren McGarry saying on a YouTube video last year, that over 50s only need a one-way flight ticket to enter Thailand. I have a retirement visa and will be flying with Emirates from Portugal via Dubai. Is what Darren said still current, please?
  3. Thanks, mate.
  4. I'm glad someone who has actually had a Stallions and put proper miles on it has commented. Thanks a lot.
  5. 'Soild advice' by someone who hasn't owned one, though.
  6. Bits fall off as you drive along? I've never seen that happen, and there are loads of the smaller Stallions on the road.
  7. These look neat bikes. Priced at 115,000 for the black and 120,000 for the red. Does anyone have one? Are they any good? Reliability etc.
  8. Thanks for being so helpful.
  9. Thanks, digbeth. I'll have a look.
  10. It is far less likely with tubeless rims. It has never happened to me and I have done over 250,000 miles.
  11. I have. Only going 40 mph on a KTM 950 Adventure, but the tyre went down fast, and my back wheel went from side to side. Easily controlled but I wouldn't have liked to have been doing 80 mph.
  12. 117,000 is a very specific guess. I'm sure it could be done, though. I wouldn't mind a set of high quality mag wheels on it.
  13. You are far more likely to have a puncture with tubed tyres. At speed, you have a real problem.
  14. I certainly wouldn't be importing them.
  15. Thanks. It is the bottom of these designs I'd be interested in. My old BMW R1100GS had them. Now, so many motorcycles do, even low-capacity, cheap Chinese bikes.
  16. I have recently bought an immaculate 2020 Yamaha SCR950 with 4,200 km on it, a bike I have wanted since they came out. The one thing I don't like about it are the spoke wheels which take tubed tyres. I want to run on tubeless. It must be possible to get cross-spoke wheels made in Thailand. Has anyone any ideas?
  17. I think I was mixing the VanVan up with the SR400, which I believe is finally being discontinued. But I might have got that wrong, too.
  18. Thanks, both of you.
  19. Are these bikes still beeing sold new in Thailand? I've always fancied one.
  20. Old thread, but it seems there are places around the Bangkok area that sell Can-Am three-wheelers. I run a Spyder F3-S, a 1330cc triple, in Europe. It is my favourite 'bike' ever, and I've done over 250,000 miles on two-wheelers. For the bulk of the year I live in Thailand and am considering a Can-Am Ryker Rally, if I can find one.
