He was 71, and had quite severe pre-existing conditions (severe diabetes & high blood pressure).
Not too dissimilar to the other 90+ people who have actually died from Covid here.

"all about the show"
That sums up this government, and nearly all the thoughts and ideas they come up with.

He can't be that concerned, or he would have suggested stronger measures to avoid it.
More hot air from him.

Tens of thousands of police officers will be drafted in to..................................
Interview all those involved in accidents on Thailand's roads during the upcoming Songkran holidays,
would be more realistic.
I can't see them preventing many accidents, with some of the driving here.

These new Covid clusters are a blessing in disguise for the government.
Allows them to control those pesky protesters who want a democracy.

I'm pretty sure that the fact that her father is the P.M. (albeit unelected), guarantees 100% success with any prosecution.

Another pathetic suggestion !
Thailand reports huge surge in COVID-19 cases, 1 more death
- Why not ask people to remain where they are, until they get these new Covid outbreaks under control ?

But it will fall on deaf ears.
He made the rules for the purpose of continuing in power for as long as he wants, sadly.

Many here don't live in Bangkok, and a reasonable, affordable lifestyle is easily available elsewhere in the country, without paying ridiculous inflated prices.

Appointed senators played a key role in derailing the bill with virtually all of them either voting against it or abstaining
This is what happens when you make your own rules, and make it nearly impossible for them to be challenged.
Democracy, my <deleted>,
Disgraceful.

Another brain fart idea !
Does he not realise that drivers here will travel when they want, and when it suits them.
