Older Diesel Cars to Undergo Stricter Inspections to Curb Pollution
Pouatchee replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
if only everyone took care of their vehicles. my truck is about 20 years old, diesel, body is ugly but apart from the occasional puff after running idle still runs clean. it is a real pity to see those smoke clouds coming by at high speed. but, one of the reasons these trucks run "rich" is because many tune them this way so they can go pedal to the metal with less risk of damaging their engines. some of these guys have high performance turbos and many mods under the hood that require running richer. that does not excuse the pollution we all must suffer, nor do the trucks who simply arent maintained. if the gvt is going to submit us to this, i hope they also submit the city bus and truck fleets to this.- 65 replies

FYI you are wrong and unless you know what the op is about you should get your facts straight. the 1st time you apply for a licence if starting from scratch (not using home licence to get thai licence) there is a crazy test in which you have to put your chin on a support and tell which color you see in the corner of your left eye and which color you see in your right eye while looking straight ahead. never heard of another country that tests this way... then you do your color perception test... as for bribes? last i heard it is near impossible to find someone to help. there was a crackdown in 2004 and since then... well... good luck. the best i heard of is a guy in pattaya that takes his customers to chachoengsoa dmv... but you still have to do depth perception and color test... no peripheral view. i only saw that one in bkk

Why the compulsion to distort the context? I can only take it that you fail to realise that software can prevent a human from seeing ALL relevant data. "Glitch" is the common term for software malfunction, transient or long term. Your "90 day lady" is nothing more than a low level accessory in a software controlled environment, it's not called "online" for nothing. If you want human control you can do it in person. this has nothing to do about anyone's comment on my post in CAPS. it was to highlight the stupidity of immi. i almost wrote an addendum to explain this, but i figured people would understand. guess i was wrong -
