  1. gripen f-16 pterodactyl seems to me if the TRAF is going to go with dinosaurs they should try cloning some reliable old pterodactyls... isnt there something more recent and reliable available? maybe ask the chinese...
  2. i think the problem right now is that the gvt actually isnt collecting taxes on weed. if it were MAYBEEEE it would change its mind. however, there is a bull [sh_t] in the china shop who is known as taxsh_t shi_tawat. as long as he is there alcohol will be monopolized and soon there will be the much more addictive casinos. as long as thailand is ruled by despots there is no hope
  3. that depends on the teachers' willingness to get involved. if an offence is serious enough and parents are called in i can tell you from experience that the bully-er [sic] will think twice before bullying again. when i was growing up the teachers preferred to stay in the staff room drinking coffee and smoking cigarettes. nowadays, they are glued to their mobiles. i forgot to mention... the BIGGEST problem is admin and their lack of support and implementation/enforcement of discipline policies here, in thailand. i had a student tell me, 'mueng gwanteen' once and it took admin 3 months to get the boy to apologise. only reason he did is cos i did not relent. by that time the apology meant nothing
  4. good. the man who would have increases the 'money in the bank' for foreigners on retirement extensions to 3 000 000bht and who is affiliated with taxsh_t is no more https://www.legal.co.th/resources/visa-immigration-law/thailand-immigration-law/big-joke-bank-window-dressing-and-thai-retirement-visas/
  5. your op was ambiguous... cars can have straight pipes too... nuts, rocks... bad idea go for bearings the size you find in a crank... 3 oughta do the trick... mechanics are greedy and will likely tell the guy he needs an overhaul cos his crank is about to go bust
  6. nice big plump potato shoved in deep with a broomstick at 3 am always does the trick. make sure no cctv or cameras in the car... check for alarm fools will be looking forever b4 they find problem and car/motocy will likely not start... towing+mecanic...
  7. BIGGEST reason bullying is going on in schools is because of incompetent teachers. they see it happening, or they hear about it from the kids but fail to do anything about it.
  8. interesting information...
  9. i get it... just like people calling trump trump even if he was president before... i laugh at this point cos some people call him mr president, others trump... point is... (guys i just used the trump example cos it comes easily to mind... this is nothing to do with politics) some people need a title. thais are good with that... everyone has the title 'khun' then there is ajarn... then kru... everybody wants to rule the world... 😉
  10. let go of your feelings for a minute... some people choose dr, some people professor and others by their first names. none of my professors at uni required us to call them dr or professor. however, they did do the leg work and if any of my professors had required us to call them either i would have out of respect for them. then, there are the jokes out there. 20 years ago i applied at thewpaingarm school in bkk and the jack arse that conducted the interview told me to call him dr bob. turns out this clown had a degree in chiropractics. nothing to do with education... but i guess he felt it gave him an edge... forgot to add... i aint sure any uni that respects itself gives even a bachelor's in chiropractics... from what i google you need to get one of these first:
  11. Is a PhD higher than a doctorate? Is a PhD Higher Than a Professional Doctorate? No, a PhD is not a higher degree than a professional doctorate. If you're wondering what's better than a PhD, both PhDs and professional doctorates are the highest level of college education that can be earned.
  12. i have been in 2 altercations here and both times the guys gave up. i am a pretty big guy with many years of martial arts under my belt, and i am very good at street fighting. i was a bouncer back in canada and i usually was able to dissuade people by talking with them. the times i did get into fights i did not lose except once when i was jumped from behind and choked. enough of the tough talk. i now have iob lenses for cataracts in both my eyes and my neck is in bad shape. i now am fully aware of the dangers that a misplaced punch can do to someone and if i had been smarter in my youth i wouldnt have been so tearaway. now, i would only fight if my life or my wife's and our property would be in danger. life is too short to be a tough guy people love to tal the talk, but veryyy few actually walk the walk
  13. still quoting a full lengthy article to make your point with a one sentence post? what an unopinionated maroon
  14. nah... i think yours is.
  15. big joke must be biting his nails to the bone over the loss in revenue. BTW what ever happened to this joke? long time no news
  16. WTH? how many times did he break the conditions of his parole... involvment in politics despite it being forbidden comes to mind. i despise anything shi_awat
  17. Drs should actually be called physicians. someone with a Phd should rightfully be called a Dr. just like locomotive engineers... having worked for a railway i can tell you there is nothing engineer about a locomotive engineer.
  18. every year the same io asks me how much i earn a month... like clockwork and she writes a note in my paperwork. one day, i expect her to ask me for proof of income. despite it not being the law... i really dont like her. there used to be 2 nice ladies in her position but 5 years ago she replaced them... when will she be replaced? i ask myself
  19. for me, living and working here, the easiest was money in the bank. i do not work anymore but it was hell to get all the tax paperwork in order from revenue and employer contract etc... if you can, the ideal is money in the bank. if you are getting money from abroad i guess it is a lot easier than if you work here. i dunno about the new tax law, but with money in the bank i am going to say my wife works so i can show only a few remittances and claim we are living off wife salary. i hope this works
  20. switched from retirement to marriage easy peasy... no questions asked. agents dont like the marriage visa cause they usually cant do them. ALL the agents i talked to in pattaya said they didnt do marriage.
  21. pumpkins do well and some cucumbers and lettuce. some people have had success with tomatoes, but not me. you have to find the right strain and close to pattaya is not the same weather as north... chiangmai weather from what i have read is much better for gardening... all depends on where you live
  22. there we have it... pro boozing and driving... btw can you prove that more rapes happen with people on yaba than booze? drinking and driving is OK by your standards even if it is the greatest cause of road fatalities claiming children and entire families. you have a sick distinction between right and wrong bub
  23. you must really have been bullied by some really bad pot heads as a kid. your attitude towards freedom of rights borders on neo-fascism every time there is a report on drugs. bet you dont dink and dive... right?
