  1. Im in Cnada and travelling back home to Thailand next Friday (Nov 18, 2011). I just purchased a factory unocked Iphone 4s and I do love it and cant wait to use it back in BKK. If anyone is interested in getting one of these before their release in Thailand, drop me a line and let me know Im sure I can pick up one or two more before I return. I promise, only a slight transport fee to cover some bottled water or diamonds once back home.

Seriously tho, drop me a line if I can pick one up, the local store has them in stock here.

    Hi Quadman ... thats a great offer - I'm very interested ... I sent u a message yesterday.

    cheers with fingers crossed,

    Buzz

  2. For the foreseeable future we won't be back on local cables due to financial constraints.

Once again, most of our news content are available online www.tannetwork.tv and of course you can watch us live via the website as well. Do tune in for our nightly Flood Minutes segment during Focus Thailand prime time at 7PM. We'll also have live translation of essential announcements from the Flood Relief Operations Center (FROC) as well.

  4. I just checked on their website and there is a notice saying:

"Apologies for the the loss of our feed to local cable operators ... it's still avbl on True ... and on their website ...www.tannetwork.tv "

However the on-line version not working for me - get sound but no video...

    cheers

  5. There was money for these projects ?

Exactly ... read in Bkk Post last week ... Gov't proposed/estimated spending (with all the popularist policies) for the next financial year is something just over 15 trillion baht ... Gov't Income from all sources estimated to be 8.9 trillion baht ...

( What an excellent timing to cut company tax rates from 30% to 23% )

Get ready for an increase in the VAT to 10% me thinks ... so EVERYONE can pay more (locals, expats AND tourists) ... where else is the shortfall going to come from ?

  6. Some people will be lucky to be among the very first to get this new iPhone 4S, for one time I'm among them: already next week I will have an unlocked iPhone 4S 16GB black here in Thailand. :D Don't ask me about the price - it doesn't come cheap.

Sorry mods, I don't know how this happened, please delete the 2nd double post. Thanks!

mmmmm . i want one next week too Dario !!! ... now who's going to buy my perfectly good, well kept 3GS 32G - unlocked & running iOS 4.2 so i can afford one ???

    :whistling:

  7. Xmas Eve Buffet - all you can eat - traditional Euro style:

El Dorado in Lamai - 1,000bht - no turkey - great ribs, ham, smoked salmon .... lots n lots of Swedish herring dishes (if you like herrings).

    Xmas Day:

Swiss Chalet (just about right on the corner, before El Dorado opposite Family Mart ) - usually does a really good set menu - i think around 1,000bht

'Poppies' Chawang - Xmas lunch set menu - pretty 'exy' but absolutely delicious

  8. Third attempt ... hope it comes out ok this time.

  9. Scum of Thailand ... thai mafia linked businesses involved in tourism should be wiped out ... why doesn't the TAT step in and do something ... set-up a scene - video it and have the cuprits charged with extortion ... do the same in Phuket and in Samui with the Taxi mafia.

I mean it can't be that hard - can it ?

These guys are just biting the hand that feeds 'em, and it's the law abiding tourist businesses who suffer !

here is some video of the some jet ski thugs in action

    http://www.thaivisa...._1#entry4054113

I'm sure they had a vid on one at Chawang beach a couple of years ago as well ... was in the newspapers

The point is, the useless TAT should not only do promo work, they should be an Authority and go after these pricks - catch 'em out red handed with their own evidence and then make a big deal in the press - They can then blow their horns that something is being done. by them.

I know i know, it'll never happen (thats probably why I live here !)

  11. Ha ha, they always look confused and sheepish when I asked for marlboruogh lights, with a mumble to another staff member like "ari wa".

Like they're really are gonna understand if I tell them I have been pick-pocketed or whatever, what a joke!

hahaha ... I have the same problem - ask for Marlboro Lights soft-pack (stressing the soft-pack part) an invariably i am handed 9 times outa 10 a box ...

Revert to pasar thai ... Marlboro lite song-on (soft pack) and they give me 2 soft-packs ...

As mentioned before , how are the staff going to handle tourist complaints when they can't understand basic english is beyond me ... they'll probably issue complaint forms all in pasar thai

  12. Anybody done the transfer from Subang airport to K.L. main international airport ?

Does it take much time for baggage collection and transfer from Subang to K.L. main?

I''m looking at possibly trying: Samui to K.L. (Firefly) and K.L. to Bali (AirAsia) return without stopping off at K.L. for a nite if possible...

  13. I am supprised there are so many still comming to Thailand "Rubber neckers" :)

I think we have to be quite about the fact tourist still go to south and enjoy the beaches. Because if the Red figure this out they will also try to destroy south tourism how small it is.

    They just hate Thailand

B'cose they are from Isarn,in their own words Lao,they love to drink Lao Khao (moonshine).

Maybe it would be a good idea to seperate the whole Isarn and rejoin them with Laos, as it was a while ago,did you know that? Now U know!

Actually, lao koaw is moonshine as you say - (lao)whiskey + (ขาว kăao) white/or, I suppose you could say - clear - in this case

... so, Laos the country has nothing to do with the meaning of lao (pronounced more like rao) kaow ...

However, your idea of 're-joining' Isaan with Laos is not a bad idea ... lol
