The usual idiots on here bagging the Nation for taking too long to bring this to light rather than focusing on what the article contains.

Are you nuts? Just as the next move they will be making weapons.
Damn if I could own one, yes, the firearm. But as a farang, go get stuffed.
You greedy greedy thai sloths.
Well since Ducatis, BMW, Triumph and Harleys are made here, why not RE? And which Thai people are you calling greedy and sloths? Be good to know exactly where your racist rant is directed.

How refreshing to see this perspective from a country's defence department. NZ leading the way.....again.

Davids Kitchen is a good restaurant but I wouldn't place it anywhere near the top of my list. But kudos to them for the rating. Enjoy success no matter where it comes from.

Breath of fresh air in an arena that smells of (old) farts.

So easy to fix.....education, training, enforcement. Creating special departments won't make any difference without these 3.

Baffled by the fact Colombia is ranked better than Thailand. When I've travelled there no one, absolutely no one, speaks any english.....not on their planes, at the border, taxis, hotels, restaurants.....anywhere.
In my experience Thailand much better.

.....and we all know how good Thai universities are. probably good advice to do the complete opposite of whatever they recommend.

Since when were Thai people white? Sad and pathetic that there's no pride in the natural colour.

Do they realise that if they achieve World Heritage City status that all billboards are banned?

I suspect speed was part of the problem as the truck had slid into its final position. Note the undamaged concrete road bollards beside it. It must have overturned earlier.

I guess you've measured the flow rate before and after they fired up the engines and you have determined that the water isn't moving any faster?
If so, I'd suggest you check the calibration on your imaginary flowmeter.
The broken record is the guys who bash all things Thai, though they have no clue what they're talking about.
be that as it may.......it doesn't work. fact. that's not Thai bashing......but it's true that some involved have no clue........but it's not those commenting ?

With the tiny number of "big bike" riders compared to the small bikes - this would have almost zero impact on the accident rates.
But how about allowing the holders of the new 'Big Bike' license to use the Expressways?
Actually I beg to differ. Go into any major brand workshop and it will be full of bikes of 300cc or more all with excessive accident damage. The rate of big bike accidents relative to sales numbers is probably greater than small displacement. And bearing in mind they are likely going faster when the crash occurs, the greater the damage.

I'm taking this allegation of animal torture with a grain of salt. There are many animal-rights activists in the world today who would like even to see such things as experimentation on laboratory mice to end--perhaps without thinking through the results that it would mean experimenting on humans instead whenever a new drug is to be tried, etc. In the case of the elephants, they are well able to defend themselves. We saw only a year or two ago in Thailand how one killed his trainer, probably by accident, when angered by a tourist. All the elephant did was to swing his trunk. The trainer just happened to be in the way, trying to protect the rude and unruly tourist. These animals are massively powerful, they have massively good memories, they are intelligent, and, if truly they were being treated cruelly, they would almost certainly strike back. Furthermore, we live in a harsh world where being "out in the wild" may be less safe for elephants these days than living in captivity. I, for one, would not covet the position of elephant trainer, and I have some respect for those who do the job.
I think then that you will likely die of a salt overdose. The torture of animals is well documented. Try Google Search.
