Word of warning unless it's a family emergency don't attempt to come until unrestricted international flights resume. The ASQ scheme is a disaster and grossly overpriced. The repatriation flights are grossly overpriced. The hotels that you think you have paid for will be utilized at the discretion of the authorities on arrival, they are routinely switching to sub standard hotels in other locations at their discretion. And they are extending quarantine days (sometimes up to 30 days at their discretion) guess who pays for that ? Nothing is in accordance with any protocols or current WHO or CDC guidelines. They're just fleecing us.

Where do they come from ? Well family money of course and like all other positions of Notariety here they buy their way in and the underlings pay tributes and up and up the tributes flow.
Kinda like Civil Service Rockets. They don't work and you can't fire em...hehe

Just spent a nice weekend in bkk with the family at a 5 star hotel on Sukhumvit. Great price , good food etc but no one there. Not enough customers to ever sustain the cost of operations so the overall feeling was scary to see just how bad it is for business and the employees since everywhere we went is short staffed and their services cut back to a minimum. Also visited a couple of other hotels for happy hour at the roof top bars. Same scenario, very few customers and short staffed but glad to be working. Not sustainable...Going to see more places re closing if this continues.

Yes if they simply enforced existing traffic laws with penalties and consistently. The word would travel fast and the revenues would increase exponentially. They just don't seem to be concerned with raising revenues for the department one bit.

May the Jousting continue followed by the feast and I still see many foreigners riding without a helmet or with a helmet but the strap not secured and only slippers on their feet. The foot injuries alone even in a simple crash are horrific. If you come off your hands and feet will scrape the floor, and that big pendulum ( your head) will hit the floor...y'all be careful

Can't be true it's just a Fake Illusion.
Interesting how they can deduce from a random drug test the type and amount of substances. Ya don't think it might have been a setup do ya ? Police are now judge and jury as well as forensic " experts" ! Kinda takes the revelry right outta ya ..

Many of the checkpoints have been folded up and they've gone home a week ago. Three of them literally vanished in Hua Hin so No need to worry it's just another charade about jobs...

Good posts and all true. Now beware not of any virus but the Tax man cometh, it's already started they're harassing the business owners and wealthy families to " contribute " to the financial recovery but not offering any incentives. Just bureaucrats whose job it is to "find and pursue" all potential sources of tax revenue. Business owners see this as pandering and will most likely just elect not to reopen...

Spot on Jumbo they don't have a clue regarding the lead time to re-qualify flight and maintenance crews, Accomplish scheduled and non routine maintenance ( with reduced staff ). The fleets will be in shambles in addition to that. Lots of air turn backs then the games begin. The airplanes will get cannibalized to keep others flying etc,etc ...what a debacle on the horizon ! Or the government could just "order" the planes in the Air !
And as my gf says...Uh excuse me but this is 2020 isn't it ? Hehe..
