Thailand is under serious international heat over using "slave boats" to supply their product. I'll bet it was related to that, and the authorities kept it hush hush. To have a license you probably need to document where you got your fish these days. No documents, no license.

This was always a fishy requirement, as the embassy can't adequately determine real bank statements from fraudulent ones. The move will force Thailand to come up with a new idea for their proof of income requirements. You could get a notarized letter from the Bank, but that won't prove there is any money in the account by the time it is submitted for review. The Thai banks know what your balance is when you make a withdrawal, so they will probably go in that direction if they think it is really important, and knowing Thais, I bet they will. Some wealthy criminals may be dissuaded and they don't really want that either. Decisions decisions! lol!

What's ridiculous about all this is the police in the USA have total access to your savings/checking and all your credit cards. Its how they catch people on the run. But if we want a visa its hell to pay to prove how much money we have. lol! Might as well laugh about it.

I wonder when the day will come that you can stick your ATM card in a reader and they will know how much cash you have? These pieces of paper are a joke.

Being a person interested in genealogy and having had a number of DNA tests for genealogical research, it might interest everyone to know that these tests are not by any means an exact science. DNA tests can be great for connecting people who genetically match others in their family tree and helping with research, but as to the percentage of this or that in the make up, the results can be fun and give one some indication of their "genetic" ancestry, they can change over time and with different tests. First off two siblings can have different results in their ancestry at the DNA level even with the same parents. The recreational genetics tests have significant scientific limitations and rely on misconceptions about race and genetics. Not only that but the percentage of this and that in each person can change as more and more tests are conducted and data is added to the database. What Warren's test seemed to indicate (and it seems she had a prominent geneticist analyze the results) is that she basically has only a trace of Native American. She has based her claims to being Native American based on family tales or high cheek bones. Think of her or her parents or grandparents knowing of their heritage back 6 to 10 generations. The claims were all based on tales not fact. Lots of people have high cheek bones. As many of the reports indicate she has less than the average. What to make of that I am not sure.
The reason Native Americans might be a bit bent over her claims is because Warren should never have made the claim to begin with. It doesn't mean anything to have 1/1024 Native American ancestry if she has no ties to Native American culture or politics. There is no DNA test for culture and identity. Let's face the fact that she is a politician and used the claim as a political tool for her own selfish ends.
The real deal is this is the only lie republicans thought could find on her, going back to loser Scott Brown, and now loser (3 million votes) Trump. Republicans are the ones who made this an issue! The republicans dirty false attacks are the only "political tool for selfish ends" in this story!!!

Almost all the headlines coming out of the US are ripping Warren now. Even the same mainstream publications that tried to cover for her are criticizing. She has really stepped in it.
Senator Warren punched the bully Trump in the nose for his racist taunt, and let's hope we never hear it again, I found it very offensive. I am very proud of her for doing, as are all of her supporters. Too bad all republicans have is to make up more lies.

The test proves that she is no more Cherokee than I am. I could very well have a tiny part Spanish in my ancestry, but I wouldn't go making any claims to be a Spaniard even if I did. As I recall, she made the claim as part of a political campaign, and has got called out on it. Even the members of her "tribe" don't want her.
I am a Cherokee Citizen, and I love Senator Warren, so that makes you wrong. She actually tells the truth, imagine that. Our SoS was way out of line, he must be a foolish Trump supporter. I complained to the Nation, he backtracked a bit to NPR the next day. Anyone has a right to get any DNA test they want, ESPECIALLY if called out by the President! The SoS should be FIRED!!!

From what I have seen, there is no treatment of stormwater runoff. what I mean is all the garbage around the drain just goes right out to sea! All they need to do is run it over a large grate, and stop the garbage from flowing out. And dispose of the garbage. Its not coming from people littering on the beach! This is the Thai governments fault. They also need better refuse collection as a whole. They need to clean up the place, we are suckers for not complaining. Complain to your hotels, travel agents, anyone who will listen, and say you won't come back. Its the only way to fix the problem.

Chuck is off the reservation on that one. She didn't claim any such thing with the results. To get a CIB Cherokee, you have to trace back to the Dawes list, created in 1902 to give NA land away. Any Cherokee not living in Oklahoma wasn't put on it, so basically over half the tribe will never be officially recognized by the tribe. But, that also means that many other who say they are cannot be PROVEN wrong, so Trump was FOS in the first place, as usual. lol. And to get started, you usually hear from your parents that you have Cherokee ancestry, just like Warren heard from her parents.

It depends on the tribe. I have never heard of one requiring 50%, most of those NA's are dead. There are no "Neveda Indians". Lastly, Sen. Warren never claimed any privileges.

Thailand is a net exporter.
The customers of the Thai companies must love the constant price increases due to currency valuation, quite possibly to the point that they go elsewhere.
The Thai girls are the strength of the Bhat, with constant liquidity and high cash flows. I'll bet their customers don't "love" the increases much. lol.

Regarding 9/11, there are all manner of very fishy parts that point to a conspiracy. They really couldn't insure one of the towers because it had been bombed in the basement. The attack was the perfect solution. Apparently the scramble squadron in Washington DC happened to be in training that day. (riiight)
The only thing that makes me doubt a conspiracy, is how have they kept the at least hundreds of people involved quiet? No tapes, death bed confessions? I really don't know what to think.

I think what has happened is a lot of girls just use their phones now to get sex work and cut the bar out. All they need is 10 or so Johns and they are set. I could see in Pattaya 7 years ago that the best girls were walking around the malls during the day with their phones. since then just about everyone has a phone now. Before they were bored with no phones and they made a good effort to be friendly. Times have changed.

I wonder if this won't change the Chinese tourist projections by a few mil? They were looking very rosey. Interesting that we have not heard anything from the Chinese government.
