  1. A 125 is fine. I sometimes take mine out the city for 250-350km day trips, but it’s a premium price 125 costing 90-100k and very comfortable.
With a 150, it’s always nice to have that little bit extra power but my 125 does 115kph & my 150 125kph.

  2. You must be old if all coffee tastes the same to you.... [emoji3]

I partake in fine wines, single malt whiskey and tea. Coffee as I mentioned, all tastes the same to me.

Also, i’m a very long way from a retirement visa, and none of my friends drink coffee. Maybe an acquired taste as you get older.

  3. The problem for some is many of these places are "English breakfast".
That means bean, fried bread, black pudding.
None of that is on the menu where I come from, I dislike it.

Another thing for me is the coffee.  Many of these low cost places have instant coffee.
    Tastes terrible.

With this for me the best place for price and food quality is Bake and Brew.
Fresh ground coffee, fresh OJ (not from a box).  All the meats and food are quality.

165 b more then enough food and it includes the "bread buffet" which has fresh homemade jams and butter.

Black pudding is a must have breakfast item for me. Goes perfectly with bacon and eggs.

Coffee is coffee, all tastes the same, and I dislike it. A cuppa tea is the only option for me with breakfast.

I have a Vespa and there is no audible sound for the indicator and I found that I often left it running. I bought a gadget from USA which now clicks merrily when the indicator is on and I have had no problems since. I think for many that is the problem - more of a design fault??

My old Vespa T5 had an indicator bleeper, but they discontinued them early 90's.

  5. "especially if the road conditions change" - Buy Michelin city grip tyres. Good for commuting but also great in the wet.

"I was thinking it needs to be easy n non threatening to handle" - Vespa scooters are the easiest bikes to handle.

"Maneuvers well and must be a ‘walk through’ bike. Safety is the priority" - Vespa has 11/12" wheels, meaning much better maneuverability in city traffic, as opposed to larger wheeled Honda/Yamaha bikes. All Vespas are step through, as opposed to Aerox/Nmax/PCX with step over tanks. Finally, all Vespa's are metal as opposed to all Hondas/Yamahas being plastic.

Vespa small frame models are the LX, Primavera & Sprint. The GTS is large frame and would be too big for her.

Both Vespa and Michelin are expensive brands, but you get what you pay for.

  6. The food court offers better food than all other malls in Pattaya & also cheap. Green curry/rice/egg 45 baht. Coke 10/15 baht. Water 8 baht.

T21 also has a Carls Jr, burger/fries/refill coke 109 baht. Half the price of a BK or McDonalds & twice as good.

The clothing shops are overpriced and appear empty of customers.

  7. I have a Vespa and really dislike it because of the handling.  I used to have a PCX which is superior in every way. Now looking at the Yamaha QBIX for a small run around.

Which model of Vespa do you have?

Strange, when I first got here, I rented a PCX to take me on a 80km trip. Steering and suspension was terrible. I admit, it was a rental bike but had only done 20k kms and the suspension was gone! The handlebar position means you are riding with bent arms :-). I know many people buy a new pcx and then replace the suspension and handlebars, but why should you on a new bike?

All current models of Vespa’s I’ve owned, have better suspension, better handling in city traffic, can cruise comfortably for 100’s of kms.

You get what you pay for, simples.

You don't think immigration police carry out raids to pick up illegal foreigners in Europe? Thai and Chinese restaurants in the UK are often raided. I don't remember a lot of media outrage, although Trump's pursuance of illegals in the US does annoy the liberal media there.

In my town back in the UK, local Indian & Chinese restaurants were raided and owners fined. One Indian restaurant was fined £10,000 for their 1st offence, then £20,000 for their 2nd, yet their still in business.

  9. Some people react so badly after drinking anything that contains aspartame. It has also been proved that it causes all the problems you mentioned. But big industries will find it is the cheapest sweet ingredient they can lay their hands on and make big profit margin.
They don't care if you die as long as you don't die immediately. Oh, you die of cancer 2 years down the road , ah anything can cause your cancer in that 2 years not really the aspartame in the soft drinks that you drink so often they say.

Aspartame has been found to be safe for human consumption by more than ninety countries worldwide, with FDA officials describing aspartame as "one of the most thoroughly tested and studied food additives the agency has ever approved" and its safety as "clear cut", but has been the subject of several controversies, hoaxes and health scares.

Since December 1998, a widely circulated email hoax has cited aspartame as the cause of numerous diseases.
