Odd that you simply cannot find sugar free alternatives to most soda pop. Diet Coke, Pepsi, and sometimes Est cola are it.
I would greatly enjoy a sugar free root beer now and again, for instance. Sugar free ginger ale, and Sprite.
I drink rather a lot of soda water, but a flavoured alternative now and then is welcome. I like bubbles.
How about if the government encouraged growing stevia now as opposed to bad ol' cane?

I get Diet Irn Bru, Vimto & Tango from a local shop that imports it, but the big stores only have Pepsi max & Coke Zero.

Its even difficult to get simple fresh orange juice!

There is another thread running now where a Pedo has been caught trying to do a runner. Lol . No awards for guessing where hes from. Listen fella. Every country has its share of local kiddy diddlers. We are talking about transnational pedos. Those are mainly white, European, American and Australian. It's not personal! Google SE Asia pedophiles and it's all over the internet!

Whereas transnational pedos within the UK, are mainly Asian, Muslim and from Pakistan.

Do not know if the Thai police racially profile white people from certain  countries in their operations. but I'm sure they target others.

I ride the 15km to shops every morning, often twice, or more, just for the pleasure of riding. We tour on the scooter too and it is such a nice place to be, I can't think of a scooter that comes close in terms of pure riding pleasure to my 2017 Vespa GTS 70th Anniversary.

I am 6 foot and it fits me just dandy, plenty of room for a pillion and loads of luggage space.

    Pretty bike too IMO:-

Have to agree. I have occasionally had big bikes but have always owned/ridden scooters for the past 27 years. I have toured Europe on 3 occasions on a scooter. At this moment, I own 7 scooters but the best scooter I have ever ridden is the GTS. I owned a GTS300 back home and currently own a 150.

Why is it so good then?

    It's a Vespa, simple.

Yes OK but there's so much more to it than being metal, with that classic design & shape.

The GTS is a large frame Vespa so commands presence on the road yet with it's wide 12" wheels, it can easily slipstream through traffic and can practically balance it at a standstill at the red light.

It has front & rear disc brake with ABS and anti slip traction control for muddy/sandy/wet roads.

It has twin adjustable rear shocks so any speed bump or pot hole can be negotiated without your whole body shaking.

It has large enough storage with 2 or 3 bags of shopping under the seat & also a hook for few bags more.

As well as being ideal for city shopping, it is also a long range cruiser. I did a 200 km day trip not long ago & returned home still eager to continue further. I had it up to 124 kph that day and it still didn't hit the limiter.

It is fun. You don't need a reason to ride it. It's not a chore to ride to the shops or to work.

Will it last forever? Maybe. I still have my old geared Vespa I bought 2nd hand 22 years ago, running and on the road.

    Negatives:-

Cannot fit a full face helmet under the seat.

  4. Its been mentioned numerous times before, but still these scammers are profiting from crime in this country.

Be aware when buying anything on internet sites.

Cars, bikes, laptops are all famous scams.

African scammers advertise an item in your local area. When you make contact, they then state that they live in another town far away. They advertise cash on delivery but when you make contact, they insist on a deposit to secure the item. You will never see the item....

You will see cars/bikes advertised with pictures they have copied from elsewhere. I have seen the same bike on facebook, advertised in different areas for differing prices from different sellers!

Insist on calling the seller first and meet them in person to do the transaction.

They should actually, probably better and cheaper with less of a entitlement  additude  than the white ones.

The story is about Thai teachers.

If there is a shortage of foreign teachers, then most schools won't hire dark skinned teachers & the only Africans they will employ are white teachers from South Africa.

Thai schools don't want black teachers, believing it displays a bad image.

Next crackdown on too many white pedophiles who damage lives of innocent kids in this country.

Well, they had to move somewhere after their town of Rotherham became overrun with over 600 Muslim paedophiles preying on underage white girls & all reports being ignored by authorities!

As in this case, racial profiling works as opposed to reverse racial profiling that happened in England, which  resulted in hundreds of innocent young girls, all being raped and abused by middle eastern paedophiles.

The liberals in that town will forever have to hold their heads in shame.

Well done to the Thai police for using racial profiling, or should I say, common sense!

I've set my retirement goal on being able to survive on my annual bank interest, currently my target is set at 2M baht /year. I figure if I can live off of the float then the principle is there for emergency's. I will achieve that next year and intend working for another 4 years after that just for buffer. My wife doesn't waste a Satang either, she knows that whatever I earn has more than the value of today's market. I intend stopping before 60, so hope the stars align.

Retire now. You are a multi millionaire!

The years contracted out do have an effect, I've just had a forecast.

    e.g.

Last years forecast said I had 38 years, but 37 of those were contracted out. This years forecast (now on 39 years at the end of 2016/2017, although this forecast did not seem to have the number of years) says I will need 7 more years to get the full pension of £159 so my 39 years has got me to approx £131 of £159, so after this year, I still need 6 years out of 12 to make contributions, to get the full whack, ie.46 years of contributions!

    Checked out mine yesterday.

I have 24 years, which has got me to £110. I need 11 more years out of 22 to get the £159.

5 years I have been short but as this was in the 90's, I am too late now to pay the shortfall.
