I left the key in a rented motorbike inadvertently 4 times before Thailand was fully back open. Needless to say I purchased a transponder key motorbike that beeps when I leave it not fully turned off.
If you park your bike near the key, be aware there's transponder key enhancers, put your key in a metal box at night if it's closer than 20-30m

Here on the islands, almost all rental companies keep a passport as a deposit.
Do the rental people do the same in Pattaya?
They also never check driving licences, probably because it would be bad for hospital profits.

Depends on the country you'll travel from.
Don't bring more than $10.000, they can confiscate it when you embarking.
Cash sniffing dogs work in departures not arrival.

A laundromat that serves beer while cleaning your clothing, interesting concept. I like it.

They boarded with a valid Via but get rejected at border control. Unfair to make airlines pay for that.
Sooo, send them to IDC?
They haven't entered the country yet..
Nice of you to care about the poor airlines.

Ok. how unfortunate for him to receive such a severe punishment , totally disproportionate, Looks like he appeared in front of the wrong Judge
He was out on bail 6+ months.
Got before a judge and got fined, then sent to IDC (immigration detention center) for deportation.
Took two months for NZ embassy to schedule a flight home.
He could have gone home in one day if he could afford to buy a ticket himself.
