It’s a catch 22,these farmers have been doing this for years. It’s their livelihood and all they know. It is very frustrating and damaging to ones health,but untill they are given an alternative at little cost to themselves,things will not change. All the threats and whining by governments and people will not make any difference.
Dont get me wrong,I too wish the burning season would just disappear,but on the other hand if I was a Thai farmer and my only source of income was to do burn off and plant a new crop I would.
Its up to the government to help educate and assist these farmers in better ways to make a living without burning off.

We will see how that sits with the Thai people in a few months when most of the country runs out of water.
Maybe they should be thinking ahead,increase dam capacity to cope with the ever expanding building infrastructure and people.
I suppose on the other hand if the farmers can’t grow crops,we shouldn’t have a burning season LOL.

We have both our cars insured with them,saving about 15,000 baht a yr. Took the option to have them repaired at the car dealership,so we are happy with that. Roojai are an agent for krugthai,pretty easy to deal with online. They also requested a video call to have a look at the Ford ranger that’s 2 yrs old before we paid the premium,just to confirm there was no damage. Also liked the Roojai rewards,the misses claimed them and put fuel in her car.LOL.Never been involved in an accident so can’t give any feedback on their performance in that area,hopefully never have too.
The policy was a bit more expensive for me,being 57 by about 1300 Baht compared to a policy for the same car for a 37 yr old.

I just had my misses apply on line for the TM30 online registration yesterday house in her name.
All that was required was her Thai id and a copy of her house book,uploaded them so we will wait and see how long it takes.
Maybe it will get approved faster because she is Thai,she chose to fill everything out in Thai rather than English.
Be interesting to see if the Thai applications are getting approved faster than the ones in English.

So why are these tourists not being screened before getting on their flight. Makes to much sense to stop the person boarding the plane and possibly infecting other passengers.
