  1. 10 years for me and I couldn't have kicked smoking without vapes
  2. all talking of asia easy meat, but for all that has happened I bet that you all can remember every detail of your first one, when you were around 16 years old. , I know I can, and I'm nearly 79
  3. As any cockney would say, they're all havin a bubble !
  4. and in the land of smiles...........what the f..k do they smile about ?
  5. with 3 or 4% off the top , yes very efficient but it does stop the fiddle, so maybe better for some small business. but the revenue have a 100% paper trail, so really efficient for government
  6. yes ok, and then there are those of us who love our cars and engines and we prefer to look after them. but of course , as they say around here ....up to you. in which camp do you put the OP then ? because He did neither.
  7. yes and in that few months , surely the OP would have opened the bonnet and filled the washer bottle , how long does it take to lift a dipstick? it's a bit rich to blame the workshop. No sympathy from me, he wrecked his own Engine.
  8. he networked it through the Thai wives and other Thai women that he knew, and paid them a commision for successful referalls
  9. your welcome xylo, it did seem to me that by many of the replies to this, that the true story is not fullly known or understood (so far) as I am sure there is more to come
  10. us Brits have our own Nick Leeson ???? ha , they were the days! He managed to collapse a whole Bank, without making a penny !
  11. take a look at some of the evidence by this excellent investigative writer, He will refer to the man as Mr Frog for safety from litigation https://truecrimethailand.substack.com/p/swindling-frog-pattaya
  12. yes , I agree , because it wasn't all this so called 'investment with high returns' he stole the pensions deposited from abroad, of these guys accounts, together with thier expat retirement deposit . just ordinary bank deposits. he used out of date bank books that should have been destroyed, and also knew how to configure the print machine to fake the balances. Remember he is the bank under manager, how did other Bank employees not notice something strange? how was the Lady Manager not aware ? , many questions need to be answered here by the Bank.
  13. this bank go survive this case even longer than our life expectations I do sincerely hope so sir, for the sake of your finances. but this bank is certainly not familiar with the term, 'a sign of goodwill' it certainly leaves a question mark over thier customer care
  14. yes and probably the bank will keep it going for a heck of a time, but in the end they will have to pay the damages, Also in the way they are dealing with this , They themselves have caused irrepairable damage to thier business, it is a foolish way to carry on really, as the trust in their name will never be recovered. They are shooting themselves in the foot. perhaps they may have to liquidate even , given that no cusomer will feel safe depositing funds with them now.
  15. yes I agree, however you have to understand that if this Guy was not working for the bank , and stopped any of these investors in the street, do you think that any of them would have withdrawn their money from the bank and handed it to him on the promise of such good returns, of course they wouldn't. they only did this because they were under the umbrella of the bank, on the bank premises talking to the bank employeee. they felt safe only because of the bank name. Therefore because the bank interviewed and employed him they are liable. The investors simply trusted the bank and the banks name. not the guy personally.
  16. less of a thing in Thailand, maybe, but if insurance is not there, then the Bank or company would have to make compensation for damage and injury to the injured Party, on thier premises, caused by their employee
  17. yes the Bank public liability insurance would honour that claim, because it happened on thier premises and by one of thier emloyees in the working day, also the employee would obviously be tried for murder or manslaughter.
  18. nor me, but surely , any employee is acting for and on behalf of the company who employs him or her. therefore the Company must be liable for the actions of the employees
  19. it can come from having too much all the time when young, what some may call 'lucky', particularly in modern times. so , you could say that the younger ones among us , missed out on a fantasic time in our childhood. there are some things money cannot buy. thanks for the reply sir , it's an interesting point, stay safe
